Innovators gain a radically different insights when looking for or testing ideas through a network of diverse individuals.
Unlike traditional networking where one connects with people in order to achieve sales or access resources, Innovator’s network to tap into new ideas and insights by talking to people with diverse insights, backgrounds and perspectives, innovators do this to build a bridge into a different area of knowledge, helping access different domain expertise.
By interacting with people one does not typically interact with, the Innovator gains access to insights that might not have been on the innovators radar, these insights may reveal surprises and anomolies, foundations for breakthrough innovation.
