Your facial expressions watching this are what we old-timers gleefully wait in anticipation for during reactions to this track. Welcome to the wild, weird, and wonderful world of Pink Floyd, my friend. You'll like it here.
Hey Dereck. Welcome to Pink Floyd universe, the best band ever. And this album "Dark Side of the Moon" is simply, the best album in space time... Must be listen at least once in your life FULL non stop... The whole 70' sequence is golden... Life changing experience... Not kidding at all.
If this is the first time listening to Pink Floyd for you.....then it's notable that this is the first song. A difficult hill to climb this one is. But that's because this is from "The Dark Side Of The Moon" album and the ten songs on the album actually make up the album as one complete piece. When you listen to the songs individually it can be choppy at the beginning or the end (like this song started with something fading out) because it's supposed to be played as one single piece. No matter this was an outstanding reaction. It was honest and true to the music.
in the middle of all the songs we sometimes find a few golden nuggets, Pink-Floyd produced a few, like this track, but without a doubt their album "darkside of the moon" is a river of diamonds with 100 carat solitaires like " money " for the record, for the vocal solo, the young woman listened to the music once and was told to let herself be guided by her inspiration; only one take was necessary to obtain this diamond
Well, you hit it right on the nose. The band asked the vocalist, Claire Torry, to imagine what dying is like. Not much direction. We can hear anger, fear, bliss, a whole spectrum of feelings. And they have done it live ... with her and with other vocalists. Really great reaction to a cool request! Thanks 🤪
I thought you were going to disrespect the song because I saw this dude talking so fast and a young dude. But, you changed my mind and yes we can talk and interpret this song with however we feel and thank you, this also reminded me no to judge a book by its cover. You thought me something as well. I’m subscribing and liking!
This is one of my favourite songs ever thank you ! You need to listen to more of Pink Floyd music : - High hopes - Money - Time - Shine on you crazy diamond - Echo And so much more ! You'll be crazy about their instrumental work, experimentations and creations.
As others stated, Dark Side of the Moon is a rock opera. The songs blend together. Another great song, called Time leads into Great Gig in the Sky. The experience of Gig is enhanced when you hear Time immediately before it. Gig is last song on side 1, so there is a natural break in the opera after Gig and before the first song on side 2 called Money, which was the only hit from this album. The break occurred in the old days of vinyl when we had to get up, walk to stereo and flip album over after side 1 ended
Yep. I remember when it came out. It never gets old. David Gilmour said his one regret is he will never be able to experience hearing Dark Side of the Moon for the first time.
A lot of Pink Floyd albums were concept albums and are meant to be played from first track to last track, uninterrupted (except for turning the album over, of course!), and listening to one song is like picking up a book and reading a random chapter. So this song was about death and the various stages of denial, anger until finally coming to acceptance. This is the last song of side one, and it is about man's inevitable death, so you can imagine what the rest of the side sounds like!
Seriously dumbfounded that this reaction has fewer than 10% likes. Great song and your appreciation of it was so satisfying to watch. Been listening to Pink Floyd since I was a young teen and still go back to it now, at 51. Thanks very much!

That was a PERFECT analysis, I'm impressed because it's quite hard to describe Pink Floyd. All their songs and albums can be interpreted differently. That's why Pink Floyd is so unique.
Ok I'm French and I love all your French 80's songs réactions, but I would never have thought you would do one day a reaction for what is (for me, at least) the most beautiful piece of music ever written/sung. I'm delighted, thank you!

Beautiful reaction. You made the right choice reacting to the recording and not a video, because the perfection of Clare Torry's vocals exist for us and all time just in those two takes put down, spontaneously improvised, one day in the recording studio. Watch your bananas they could go any time now... Great reaction to a great song
The album is a story. Each song is a chapter. It has a beginning and an end. Listen to it that way for a whole new experience.
Please bro , React few songs of Pink Floyd live to Pulse concert 1994 .. trust me 😎👍 few songs to Pulse concert ---> Comfortably Numb = best live guitar solo ... High Hopes .. Sorrow ... Coming back to life = 3 guitar solo ... Run like hell = how to end a great concert ... 😎👍
Pulse is great for Comf numb, Back to Life and Sorrow.. High Hopes in Gdańsk is better than Pulse imho
