Your first mistake was believing or trusting a car dealer. There might be an honest one out there but I haven't met him in 60 years of dealing with these thugs.
If anyone’s been in the car business 👨💼 for like more than 2 years, they’re on the dark side by then. There is literally no other way to survive in the car business. You either get out or succumb to the level to survive.
@@maples328 I'm well aware of what the industry has morphed into. I remember back in the 60's I would go with my dad, you would meet the salesman, he would offer a little discount, a hundred bucks was a big deal when the car was somewhere around 2 grand total. The salesman was the only person you saw, he handled the whole deal. There was no finance department with a manager making a half a mil a year, one man handled the whole thing. A 3 car showroom and a half dozen bays in the shop, probiliby 2 dozen working there total. I'm not talking about some little hick town, I'm talking about the city of Chicago. I know those days are gone forever but it's fun to reminisce.
No doubt there is some spurious back story here which the dealer has not disclosed to you. As the saying goes " things always happen for a reason ". Be grateful that you have probably escaped something far worse had you closed the deal. Regarding your proposal to exchange services for value, IMHO, you are best advised to avoid this altogether. Keep the car purchase at arm's length and let him find his own marketing strategist.
We just bought a loaded '22 R/T for my wife. We didn't even get it home. The dealer had installed all-new rotors and pads. Ok, great! But they definitely didn't torque or thread lock the caliper bolts on at least one, but probably all four wheels as the LR caliper from all visual evidence has one bolt and began to swing and grind into the outer lip of the rotor. Very fixable. No one hurt. I'm not worried so long as they honor their tech's errors. But yes.... as one who only lets others work on my cars if I am half dead.... never trust the dealer. A lesson learned over and over. I just feel bad for my wife who was very excited to pick the truck up. She does not have any mechanical background so thinks it is broken voodoo and is anxious. Tomorrow morning is the first time I get to talk to the Service guys about getting it towed / fixed. Rotor / Pads / Caliper / Caliper Bolts / Caliper Bracket / possibly even the knuckled if the solo bolt wobbled in the hole.... they're going to ream some tech for this one. That's an easy $1500 on top of the $3000 they already put into it. Ouch.
I hope you left a bad review. Unfortunately, the only way people learn is when something negative happens. Left unchecked, these kind of people will continue to screw over honest people whose dreams get shattered after they get screwed over. I, for one, am tired of it. I got burned once and not again.
So I didn't watch your whole video on this vehicle but I like to tell you this I'm 58 years old and I never ever been to a car lot and on top of things else I would never try to take my car and trade it in because they're only going to give you a hundred bucks on the car now you're better off selling a car to a private owner you can probably get maybe 4 to $8,000 for that car never never go to a car dealership never
wow, that really sucks! but, not going to lie, you kinda sounded like an ex that just couldn't take a hint. He was telling you to f-off without actually saying it.
Boo hoo your one person that got screwed how about us Kia owners that got fucked with no engine defibrillator and our cars were stolen so quit crying 😮😮😮
@@txstangpride so true my car insurance tripled to 576 a month I quit paying on it to recover my down payment back and now there looking for it . Bought a new ninja bike much cheaper and insurance much cheaper

It's your own fault don't trust these guys they are professional liars
Consider yourself lucky. You still have your Durango and your $10000.00.
Bro sorry to hear that! Right time will come. That’s really disappointing 😢.
Sketchy marketing strategies

It’s typical of so many dealers, not an unusual story.
Big, fat, one star rating along with this video
What kind of car was it ? Might as well put dealer name on it
Give them the worst review ever , that’s not fair to keep you hanging like that !!!
Is the dramatic music really necessary? , that was a rhetorical question by the way
He jacked you around, used you now you must hold him to account. Post the review stay with the facts as you have in this video.
I haven't watched the video but, "been there-done that." Hopefully karma exists.
You should’ve known he wasn’t selling you the car.
I would let him have it.

Yes leave a bad review the guy found a buyer for a better price and didn’t have the balls to come clean to you

I’m with you
I’ll never buy a new vehicle no matter what.
It’s a waste of money.

Engine immobilizer.
A defibrillator is a medical device 😂
You messed up by buying a kia in the first place, that's your fault 😂
