This morning when I grabbed my knitting bag to take to the computer, I told my husband, “Goodbye. I’m off to Norway! I’ll be back ‘in 15 minutes.’” He replied, “Tell the boys Hey from me.” So, Billy says, “Hey!” (Hey is Tennessean for Hi.) 😃
Laugh out loud when you mentioned "fishgate". As always, a visit with you makes my day. So touched by the story of your parents, Carlos. Glad you and Arne can easily travel to visit them.
Arne's English has improved so much since I started watching the podcasts. I just watched the podcast from Aug 1, 2021 which was about tension while knitting stranded mittens and he spoke English very well on that podcast. In the past, he always deferred to Carlos when he wasn't sure about a certain English word he wanted to say, but he seemed to speak very well during that podcast, without having to rely on Carlos to help him out.
Oh, the stash room sounds like my two sewing rooms (my second story). Three sewing machine tables, a cutting table, lots of shelves loaded with jars of buttons and things, bolts and bins of fabric and yarns, two recliners, a sink and refrigerator, a computer, and so what! I vacuum as needed, I have an air purifier to keep the fiber dust away, and oh dear, I keep a glass of water next to my serger and sometimes it’s there for three days without washing it! But it’s my creative space with lots of color and projects and fibers. It’s a fun place. You two and the pups put joy in my days. Thank you. Gail K.
It's difficult to have elderly parents far away, especially in a different country during pandemic travel restrictions. Hoping we can visit my parents in Norway for Christmas this year. We missed it last year.
I'm glad that your parents are settling into their new home Carlos, they must be so pleased when you visit. Thank you both for so much inspiration and playfulness. I was so sad to hear the news from Norway today and my thoughts are with you. Wishing you peace and healing from the UK.
Oh my! The candle 🤭 I giggled so much when Arne 'revealed' it. I thought it was never going to end 😆 I hope your parents settle in well and you will feel more settled in yourself about them soon 🤗 As usual thank you both for making me smile so much 😃
So Arne now has a light saber candle! I am glad you were able to get services for Carlos parents. It makes life so much easier when you know they are safer.
The best "15 minutes" of my day is watching Sit and Knit ! I actually relax into my knitting while listening and stop worrying about attempting to clean and organize my Stash Room...hehe
Thank you both my dear friends for all you do. Your tour through Norway was fantastic. So much work for you both to bring to us your treasures. The artists were so interesting and delightful. You both are so very generous to share with us your interests, your talents and you personal stories. I wait for each episode and never disappointed in your programs. Thank you for you friendship
I knit during your podcasts and I laugh at your dialogue. You have no idea how much I look forward to this time together. I wish Covid was gone but it isn’t. Having this podcast brings me joy and something to occupy the loneliness. Thank you.
Beautiful view, I love seeing the colors behind you, and the fog gradually rolling in by the end of the video. Freya was so good, right up until the end! She was just saying goodbye to us. 😉 That candle, my goodness! Lol. 😂 I love the colors of your Norwegian wool! Can’t wait to try it. Thanks for the laughs and smiles today. Glad you both are doing well! Have a great week!
Your backdrop today is beautiful. A perfect Autumn scene. Between the tweaking/twerking and “candles are your crab” this was an episode with many smiles. I am glad that your parents are settling in, Carlos. Hopefully you can feel more confident that they will be able to manage. ❤️ from 🇨🇦
All I ever want to do is just put hearts on your videos. You are a soothing watch after a long hard day. I wish you all the love and happiness in the world ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Arne and Carlos you both are so great together the way you buzz of each other Love watching while I knit for my grandchildren Love from Ireland xxxx
Carlos, when hanging picture groups, layout a large piece of craft paper the size of the space you are decorating. Lay the paper on the floor and move your pictures around until you get the spacing you like. Trace around the photos and measure where your nail goes. Place your paper level on the wall. Nail where you measured then one all the nails are done, pull the paper off and hang your picture.
Hilarious episode. So nice to see you both at home again, joking and laughing about your adventures. Carlos, so nice that you are helping your parents settle in and making sure they are comfortable and safe. The tall candle made me laugh as Arnie made it grow on the screen. I look forward to all your videos and am hoping some day to go on one of your cruises when they are scheduled. See you Sunday!
My Rowan Norwegian yarn arrived today. The yarn makes me think of winter sweaters! I bought it to make the little sweaters Advent calendar. They are sweaters, too!
Freya is just so beautiful. She has character. My girl is also very cheeky and she likes pushing the boundaries too. It's always a battle of wills, but in fairness to her she always listens when you need her too. Your Freya was so cute when she leaned into your arm, Carlos. It is such a precious thing when an animal trusts you enough to fall asleep in your arms.
Been soooo busy with a craft fair at my church. The grand prize was my fully decorated Christmas tree featuring last year’s Advent ornaments! The tree was a huge success, and I posted a few photos on Instagram yesterday. Now I get to binge watch your podcasts to catch up. Your fall setting in this episode is gorgeous!
Thank you for another fantastic episode. Great seeing you, together with Helmer and Freya again. The autumn foliage behind you is gorgeous! Love hearing about all aspects of your life. And Carlos, prayers for you and your parents during their transition to retired life. It's wonderful that you have Arne to support you during this difficult time, as you supported him during the death of his father. Prayers and good thorughts for all of you.
Sitting here knitting and listening to you two chatting is such a joy for me. I look forward to each and every time.....I feel like I'm right there with you.....so enjoyable.😊
Ohboy. You are hilarious. Your description of Anna’s kids, amazing. And Arne, you are so cute and goofy in the most sweetest way. Such a treat to watch you chat
The back drop is a beautiful back drop for you both today. I would love to see another fireside knitting video again like last year. Thank you both for all you do and share with us.
Ooooh you guys always make me laugh out loud - the candle was hilarious and so huge 😂 🤣! Carlos hopefully your parents will settle in well - my heart feels for your pain with concern for them - you are a wonderful son Carlos and a beautiful soul. Thank you both for sharing 🥰🥰
Beautiful background, it was so funny what Arne did with the candle, I sympathize missing your parents Carlos, my parents when they alive lived in Bolivia and I live in United States, keep up the great job you are doing
This is one if my favorite episodes! Beautiful backdrop- news and catching up on parents and covid and project updates. Lots of puppers and teasing one another- happiness and kindness. Thank you for sharing your life with us. (Drywall mud or putty is the white stuff in the tube-baseboards, mop boards, or moulding around the floor.)
Love the colours of the autumn trees especially the one directly behind you both! Arne makes me smile 😊 and giggle such a nice kind gentle soul and naughty at times! You both bring a perfect balance together! Ummm Arne I agree with you especially shopping in Ikea not a favourite store of mine far too big?... love knitted crochet 🧶 flowers colours beautiful! Thank you so much once again! Yes I saw the video with Kim he was so excited and shy about the gift from Arne! Hugs & xx 😘
Always a pleasure to hear from you both. Laughed through the stash room story - I also was guilty of a stash room and threw having a few moves to different locations I did start to downsize🤣
Nice to catch up with you again. I am behind on videos. I agree about hunting ... not my thing and I'm always glad when hunting season is over. Thanks for the wonderful video visit.
Thanks for another lovely visit, so enjoy these videos. They go so quickly, managed to get a few rounds done on a sweater I'm knitting for a Xmas present. I wish I was as fast as you Arne. Your time with your parents is so special Carlos. I know they appreciate everything you and Arne are doing to help them settle into their new home.
Glad your parents are settled it's always worrying when they move. Arne life is too short to worry about cleaning, as long as you are happy and healthy. I love your sit and knit thank you 😊
Yay for the return to Sit and Knit for a Bit! I have some catching up to do, on the Setesdal series and a couple of other posts of yours… luckily, I have lots and lots of knitting to do (mittens for the grandkids, Selbu style). Great fun! Thanks, and see you both soon.
Love your podcast as usual .....we have the sheep wandering over the mountain roads beside us got to be careful.....12 of them went by my house sometimes cows and horses ....south wales uk
Hi guys, Freia and Helmer. Beautiful setting (as usual) loving the new nordic wool colours too. I can't wait to know how many candles you will have used by the end of winter. Carlos, so glad your folks are more settled and that you feel more confident about the arrangements in place for your mother.
My house is 150 years old, and has wooden floors. Every winter, STILL, the cracks open wider and close back up in the summer. Our winter air here in northern NY is so dry.
So much beautiful yarn! My goodness. I'm making a list. Carlos I love your jumper - apparently black and white is my jam. Perhaps I'll make a note of that because what I was shopping for was a lovely pale grey and a beautiful burgandy for a design. Hmmmmm.....
Thank you Carlos! It was a great help for me last week to be forewarned about the flood of emotions to expect after a long absence from my mother. She would have been disappointed if I'd not cried with her!
I love the leaves behind you. So beautiful! Candles: y'all sound just like Kate in Last Homely House. Those mittens look amazing, like art for your hands.
Greetings from Ireland you both gave me a good excuse to sit and watch from planting bulbs in the garden, it's always great to see you both and the dogs, I'm ordering my yarn from your new collection this weekend there's a few patterns I like well might have to make a couple of sweaters from book 1 there gorgeous. Have a lovely week😘🐶

It's been lovely seeing both of you as usual with this awesome autumnal backdrop. Always interesting. I'd love to go antiquing with Arne. I'm a sucker to thrift/antique shops.Greetings from London
The colors are beautiful there! I love seeing Freja--she is adorable. Those candles!! I have never seen such tall ones. My Mom once had a very nice Danish candle holder that took at least 10 tall-ish tapers, but you've got that beat! Enjoy this fall weather and stay healthy!
Those blue and white mittens are fabulous! It would take me a decade to do them. . . . Funny to hear Freya telling off the hunting dogs too, I hope that your moose visitor makes a good getaway. Be well, Sally 🌹
Arne, I'm right there with you as to antique shops v IKEA lol 😆 I'm catching up with your recent videos as sometimes I keep them for when I need a treat. Love to you both and the dogs too of course xxxx
Hello Arne and Carlos. I am enjoying your shows so much. I just ordered 2 of your books last night on Amazon and I am looking forward to trying some of your patterns from "Arne & Carlos' Favorite Designs: Greatest Hits and New Inspirations" and " Arne & Carlos' Knitting Scandinavian Style". I just started watching your shows last week and I learned how to knit using your style and I just love to pearl doing the cha, cha, cha! LOL!!! You are both delightful, funny and give me joy. Thank you!
This morning when I grabbed my knitting bag to take to the computer, I told my husband, “Goodbye. I’m off to Norway! I’ll be back ‘in 15 minutes.’”
He replied, “Tell the boys Hey from me.”
So, Billy says, “Hey!” (Hey is Tennessean for Hi.) 😃
So polite from your husband. He must be a nice one. All the best to you. 👍👍🎶🕯
😍say hi to your husband!
I laughed so hard about this conversation. Marty you and Billy sound like fun people.
…and Marty, isn’t it great to have a second home in Norway? I totally love to Sit & Knit For A Bit! Yes, that husband sounds like A Good One!
Marty, Hej, pronounced “hey” is hi in Norwegian and Swedish, so that’s perfect.
Thanks for giving me a laugh out loud moment Arne. “had to go to some antique stores just to calm me down”. 🤣
Love the way you both relate to your dogs. So gentle and caring. They seem to just melt into you.
Thank you!
I love this program. The interaction between both of you is incredible.
Thank you!
I couldn’t agree more!!!
I like my mess too. Can find everything. I have been told that is a sign of a creative mind!
Laugh out loud when you mentioned "fishgate". As always, a visit with you makes my day. So touched by the story of your parents, Carlos. Glad you and Arne can easily travel to visit them.

Oh my, that candle is outrageous! You definitely have to show it in action once you've figured out where to put it.
I'm glad that your parents are settling into their new home Carlos, they must be so pleased when you visit. Thank you both for so much inspiration and playfulness. I was so sad to hear the news from Norway today and my thoughts are with you. Wishing you peace and healing from the UK.

Another terminology America uses is floor boards - where wall and floor meet to finish off 90 degree angle!!!
Loved this boys. The autumn leaves in the background with the mist was lovely.
great idea!
@@melodybecker2309 in Australia we call them skirting boards.
So great to be listening to you both as I sit and knit/crochet. I love the bright yellow and orange leaves behind you! Happy October!

Hmmmmm.....
That's not a candle, that's a light saber!!
😂
I am glad that you guys have many projects on the go too ,I don’t feel so bad .🥰
Beautiful fall leaves behind you. I love going to Ikea. Really like the long cuff on the mittens.
Thank you Carlos! It was a great help for me last week to be forewarned about the flood of emotions to expect after a long absence from my mother. She would have been disappointed if I'd not cried with her!
Those autumn/fall colors are amazing!
It is one of the most beautiful times of the year!
I love the leaves behind you. So beautiful! Candles: y'all sound just like Kate in Last Homely House. Those mittens look amazing, like art for your hands.
Thank you so much!

It was so wonderful to see Freja! What a sweetie she is. I myself was the older sister and I have to say I'm sure I did a lot of "reacting" when my younger sister came along. It was magical to see the fog behind you and the colorful leaves. :)
I couldn't stop laughing... the 'stach' room. Thank you for this!
Never stop laughing!
I'm so excited for the Advent - I got it early as a Newsletter subscriber. At first, I was feeling stressed about trying to get them done before December 1, but now I've decided I'm going to make two sets and give one to each of my girls as an heirloom item, so they can have them as they grow up and move out and start their own families. No stress, savour the process and do them for next year. Love these designs. Love you guys. Thanks for everything you do. I have to say, I have two dogs of the same species too (cocker spaniels). One is a barker and trouble maker and the other is very easy. It's funny how that works.
Haha! Candle conversation made me chuckle.
Always so enjoyable! Thank you so much. I hope you find the perfect candelabra(s), Arne. Those meter-long candles would be amazing!
OH I love the Xmas Tree candles, my first partner was from Austria and we always lit the candles Xmas Eve… so beautiful
Love you both! Best 15 minutes of my week! ❤😘
A wonderful episode. Love listening.

Happy knitting!
