You nailed this tone. It’s also my favorite album of theirs and I saw them on that tour when I was in high school. Queensrÿche opened for them. Great job!!
Why not though? Passive pickups sound better IMHO. There's nothing an active pickup can do that a passive can't, or do better. Ceramic, alnico, whatever you need but EMG's just can't do what a passive can. Unless you keep your guitar volume at 10 24/7 you'll probably never know what you're missing! My opinion, of course!
@@8KilgoreTrout4 The thing is that this record, from what I understand, was recorded with EMG pickups; which makes the process more difficult, because they behave differently than a passive pickup, in other words, What he did is very meritorious.
Rocking them out as we speak . So good mate! The TMP is phenomenal I love that quality sounds are available free on the cloud every tom dick and harry is flooding the market with paid presets it’s very much appreciated Jon 👍 I’ll keep my eyes peeled for any future goodies you may release!
I think this is a great 👍🏻 job ....TMP isnt very popular yet because of its so called lack of good high gain. Videos like this will definitely help Fender out its a great Unit in my opinion. Soon as it has close to 20 high gain amps and a few more updates it will start getting more love 💯👍🏻
@@JonsGuitarGarage yes I have to agree there I imagine most are doing too much EQ or running through junk speakers is why everyone complains about that digital fizz in the unit....when I had it I ran it though two boss sm1 in stereo using stock cabs in dual or into a katana artist return with no cab in mono and it sounded great plus felt great ...damn close to a boss GT or the GX . A few more updates and hopefully two mics on one can in the future will be a major upgrade on the unit . It's why QC is killing it right now lol....I would actually love to see QC knocked off it's #1 perch lol 🤣 I like the TMP
I'm amazed that you don't have more followers or subbs. Everybody always screams "how do I get the tone of so and so with blah blah using wah nah hah" Then you PROVIDE that exact recipe and you get 75 views in an hour. Makes me want to punch a puppy. Best of luck.............you crush this type of content--------Ben
I think this is better version than the album.. Great job!! Try cutting out the bass completely and it may sounds just like ...AJFA, but I wouldn't do that.

thank you, I saw them on this tour too it was incredible!
You got it right, you nailed the tone, congratulations; and on top of that with a guitar with passive pickups 👏
Thank you so much

This is great, hope you are doing the black album next? 👍
Please do Hetfields current live heavy and clean tones for the TMP
Spot on, as always!
Thank you
This is spot on! Great job. I need to start experimenting with EQ pedals in my TMP.
Thank you yes definitely have a play with them, I have seen some people using the EQ pedal before AND the amp too, haven't tried that yet...
❤ great work Jon!
Thanks Jez
Wow amazing job
@@fstjeanm thank you!
EXCELLENT.
awesome job now when can we expect the Black Album tone?? This is what i have been waiting for!!
Oh sorry ha ha I'll get onto that soon 👍
Superb John! Hoping to own a TMP around Christmas and will load these up on day 1 many thanks 🙏 🇦🇺
You will love it! Great piece of kit 👍 thanks for the comment

I'm not an ultra high gain guy but I have to say I LOVE the 5150 model in the TMP

I would be so happy if they enabled 2 mics per cab! But I agree with you it's only going to get better over time

Haha please don't punch a puppy 🤣 but thank you, I guess not everyone likes this kind of video it's quite niche but that's ok I have fun making them 🙂

Sounds great John! AJFA is my fave too, I listened to a version that had the bass mixed so it was audible and I didn’t like it - it muddied the mix.
I agree! It just has to be this way 🙂
@@JonsGuitarGarage Not really. If mixed properly, Jason's bass parts added much needed balls to that album. Now they need to fix Lars's drums.
After thousands of dollars spent on gear, software and years of research....finally my time has come. Now I can move to another hobby...😅
Can't say that's a sound I'd want to emulate. Buy an old peavy bandit 112.
