Good video! What are those metal pieces you use to hold your material in place? New MK2 owner. If you have a link by chance?

Funny as is, your X1C could have done the wolf as well. Maybe printed in two sections for the hollow part.

Great looking work! I have used a cnc machine and now want to try my hand at laser. Is there enough room on that table for a cutting board size of about 11x17 to engrave? I'm reading on their site that this one has a pass through slot. Thanks.

There is a small acrylic panel you can remove in the front and rear, it is 16 inches wide. The bed area is 400 mm x 400 mm or 16 inches x 16 inches. It is an Amazing Laser. Slot is about 1 1/4 inches tall.

@3DHP wow, that's close..lol. But it could be workable. I've been doing some research and came across this unit, and I was impressed with what it has to offer in quality and accessories. Thanks for the quick reply!

what do you think about the fan always running of the laser on the Mk2 ?

Whenever the Laser is turned on means you are getting ready to do a job.It hurts nothing and uses nothing in power. I installed a much larger fan on the wall now and removed the inside exhaust fan.

I’m probably going to be ordering the 20w lasermatic today as my first laser cutter. I’m curious, how long did it take to cut out the cross? Trying to get an idea to tell my wife about how long different projects might take.

Depending on your material, power and speed settings it varies. Not to long is all I can say.

I've got a question . I see the focus tool has different steps to focus for engraving and cutting etc. What if you needed to engrave on a piece and have it cut out too? How do you set the laser depth to do both?

I usually focus for engraving. Based on your speed and power you will have to run some tests to what works for you.You can set it a little deeper but then again still run a speed and power test for engraving, then speed and power for cutting on a different layer. Always run test cuts and burns.
