    In this video, we'll be showing you how to make a flint and steel fire starter, a valuable skill for those interested in wilderness survival and self-sufficiency. Using just a few simple tools and materials, you'll learn how to create a spark and start a fire using a piece of flint and a steel striker. This ancient technique, once essential for human survival, is now a fascinating hobby for outdoors enthusiasts.

    Because it was banded chert. The material had both cleavage and Conchoidal fracture.

    I wish I knew where to find flint/chert in the Tampa, FL area. We don't have rock/stone here really, but the natives must have gotten it from somewhere.
