I was a Sony fan at first. Still is but one day I decided to look for the best raw files to edit online. I came across a z6III astro photo at ISO3200. It was so clean and lively. For skin tones it is amazing too. So now I'm more of a Nikon fan than Sony. Plus their bodies are pretty robust in handling.
Yeah I've always preferred Nikon colors. I unconsciously edit my Sony photos to get close to Nikon colors because that has kind of become my taste@@jakilahmoulien9070
It was definitely the ZF. I had my Nikon FE on me at the time which is a solid brick so maybe I noticed the feel difference more. It definitely felt kinda plastic-y and the ergonomics were kinda rough
Priceless! Nikon = Lisan al Gaib. I am an aspiring Nikon Dad. At 63 I am late to the game, but admit to having been infected early on. Owning a Nikon N65 (film) and a D80 (DSLR) exposed me to the quality of their images in my 40s & 50s. After a 5 year hiatus, I realized the smartphone (good though they are) is still not a replacement for a good system camera. Now shooting Z system. The image quality is still top notch. Glad Nikon purchased RED. Ultimately, I think it will benefit both companies.
All hail Nikon! One of the good aspects about Nikon mirrorless is the legacy support of F-mount lenses on the Z-mount with the FTZ adapter. A second good aspect is that the Nikon color science is still there in the digital world. At some point, you need to make a leap of faith, and, if you are not fully with mirrorless yet, going with Nikon into the mirrorless world is a solid choice. There is something to be said about a company that is more than 100 years old and still able to surprise and excite their customers. Hang on and enjoy the ride.
Growing up in the early 2000's my mom had a Nikon for taking pictures. Then she got a Canon DigiCam and used that until phones started to have good quality cameras. When I first started to watch youtube I remember all the Vloggers using Canon rebels. Now everyone wants a Sony cam. I feel like the crown will always be passed around and its Nikon turn to sit on the throne.
Honestly that would be pretty awesome if Lumix bought either, I wish Lumix bought the patent for the color science of Arri though, that would be game-changing @@Bigcookfilms
Yeah it is, the only photography cameras that we've had have been the Lumix S1R which is great, but still has the old auto focus system, but the new G9II is basically the new GH6 and it still has great photo features. @@doublenegative4real
A few things, Nikon bought RED as a subsidiary, meaning RED is still RED. Nikon owns 100% of the shares in the company. At least in the near future, we won't see any sort of collaborations. Nikon and all the other brands are already using the patent that RED owns and have been for a very long time. Nikon is definitely the best for stills. Canon is currently the best mirrorless brand -ergonomics and build quality. As far as af, speed, menu features, buttons, etc. they've nailed it. Sony is great for travel and vlogging and it seems they want that corner of the market. Fuji does more outside of consumer cameras. As far as photography dads, Nikon cameras seem to be the primary choice for African Americans. I can tell you, its b/c of the color science. They're the only one that gets our skin tones correct. Canon has us looking like Oompa Loompas, Sony has us looking diseased with its greeniah tint. Leica gets black people right too. I wouldn't get my hopes up about this new acquisition. It does mean Nikon controls Canon, Sony, and some otters.
Do they have a lot of recalls these days? Their DSLRs and film cameras are like the Toyota Tacomas of cameras, which is where I lived with them. Don’t know about a lot of what’s been going on with their mirrorless stuff
@@doublenegative4realZ8/Z9 had recalls yet they kept it quiet enough..it's about 20 now..Point is fix that before claiming to change the game with RED or talk about Nikon glass ..
Dude, glad you admitted your flops. The angry photographer guy never recovered from the fact that he predicted wrongly about Nikon. He's way too egotistical. I've been trolling about his predictions and he never commented back LMAO
Who you calling white? I am Asian. And this makes me search on ebay foe a z8. Not saying i am buying yet, but thinking about it for sure. I have my Nikon F3, d50 and d80. Maybe a 4th nikon in the future.
I love Sony. My PS5 is amazing. For photos…Nikon forever.
Haha yes. Sony does some good stuff, just not in love with how their cameras work. The PS5 is great

Are you sure you tried ZF and not ZFC? I have never heard anyone complaining ZF being plasticy.

Haha yeah everything is in cycles so it's about time Nikon is cool again
Try Lumix S5IIX,I think Lumix is never ever talked about, happy to see Nikon kind of come out of nowhere with this deal with Red
Lumix needs to buy Arri or at least Blackmagic 😂😂😂
@@Bigcookfilms I agree. I think Lumix should buy Arri (C-Log) and share resources
Isn’t Lumix more video heavy than photography?

Interesting. It’s hard to imagine this won’t at least affect Nikon on the video end since they are famously lacking in that regard.
Maybe try a Z6II
I Am Nikon😁
Buy the Lecia
lol

That dude is still around? Did he buy one of the many recalled cameras from them??
