- Travelling from the Gold Coast we head west to Cecil Plains then St George before turning south to Dirranbandi then to Hebel (great pub), before arriving at our destination Lightning Ridge.
Lightning Ridge, what an amzing place with so much to see and do, one night wasn't enough, I'll definately be back.
I then head to Glengary to see the Club in the scrub a registered RSL and licenced golf club with free camping. Leaving for the Glengary Hilton for lunch and a beer at the amazing bar area. I then head to the Sheep Yard Inn, which isn't a hotel, rather a collection of old vehicles and mining machinery, lots of history & character at all three of these destinations that sit on a 30km loop road where you end up returning to the Club in the Scrub.
I then head to Walget to meet up with Ando who stayed at the free camp 1km south of the town centre, great facilities with toilets & showers.
We both head to Brewarring thats famous for the amazing fish traps built by aboriginals, possibly dating back 40,000 years ago. We then head to Mt Oxley which I only knew about from watching a UA-cam Video, this was amazing and I'm glad we did it before heading into Bourke to our friends from Sydney whereby we have six vehicles leaving Bourke to the Flinders Ranges. these epesodes are up and ready for veiwing.
