A 21 year old Elvis, shy, but that voice. Years later, at his 1970 Live Las Vegas concerts, Love Me Tender became his signature song for doing some serious audience interaction, with his bodyguards & hotel security scrambling to keep up with him when he gets down off the stage & starts mingling with his fans. Elvis loved bringing happiness to his fans & he knew how to do that. Well worth watching, & the Reactions to that video are just so funny, because back in the 70s it was totally a different time & vibe.

PITCH PERFECT PRESLEY. VOICE PERFECTION. He had that IT factor to do that. They had no idea how much talent he had in him by this point. Elvis changed the world. He was SO DANG talented he hit everyone off guard. He is so dearly missed. This cannot happen ever again.

The movie this song was in, was written to be titled The Reno brothers. That’s what it’s about. But when the producers heard Elvis sing it, they changed the name to the songs title. Even though he was a new star playing along side very big stars, they went with the song as the title due to his voice. Nothing like it!

Oh, show more of Ed Sullivan and Milton Berle live Elvis, if you haven’t already. There’s an even earlier video of him live on a different show, not well known, but can’t remember the dang name of the show, but it really shows him cutting it. My favorite song is from 1960, It’s Now or Never. My god…that song gave me chills when I heard it. His vocals! He sings it in the 70s but ya really can’t beat the original cut, even though there’s no video, to get the full effect and majesty of his voice.

You are so correct in that Elvis was a different musician and performer than we have ever experienced before or after. He was just a joy and a master of his craft, remaining always humble and approachable. I feel so very lucky to have grown up with him in my life. To see him in person and actually touch him and talk to him was beyond wonderful. Thank you for your great comments and appreciation for Elvis.❤❤❤

On the old tv shows he never has a mic, it a boom that is out of the picture above their heads. For the 1968 comeback special Elvis was nervous after Being out of live audiences for 8 years of movies, so he asked the producer could he use a mic anyway, so he’d feel at home again like on he’s live concerts b4 the movie era.

You are bringing me great joy in your reactions. You are discovering that the women loved him and the men wanted to be him. The deeper in the rabbit hole you go the more your face will change expressions from sad to smiling to laughing and crying. His voice absolutely pulls you in where your focus is on him 💯. He was never shy about sharing the stage and letting the background singers and musicians get their shine as well. He was different.
Every genre he sang, he did it maintaining the same level of expertise, no drop off. As a matter of fact just when you think you know his style he blows you away with another surprise.
    Truly one of a kind.
    Enjoy the ride my friend.
    BTW. Mike check. 👍10x10

Yes he was a different breed! And new breed b4 his time. However, there’s never been another like him even as time rolled on.
Funny you should say breed, because if he was born a center earlier they’d have called him “a breed”. Because he was half American Cherokee Indian. His mom was 98% Cherokee and 2% Jewish because the Cherokee have a trace of Jewish in them. His dad was Scottish. Know someone that’s Cherokee on their moms side and Scottish on dads side and she’s as beautiful as Elvis was handsome. He plays a breed in one of his movies called Flaming Star. Indian and white mixing was as controversial to many people as it was when the black community and white community started mixing. By the way there’s some very handsome and beautiful people that are mixed in this too.
I said to my mom one day, boy they can make some good looking people. She answered indeed they also have a beautiful mouth. I asked what do you mean? She answered they have big beautiful white teeth, full lips, and strong defined jaw. Whites don’t always have full
Lips and big/strong white teeth. But the black community does.

Notice Ed Sullivan also does not have a mike, which suggests the stage area is miked rather than the individual person.
