Eyup Tim .I think it's appaling that the successive governments of the last 40 years do not want us to have jobs that are worthy of protecting and fighting for , it causes them problems when we unite and have a common cause . It is much easier to farm skilled work out to other countries and leave us with all the unskilled work on minimum wage which levels things out across the board and stunts ambition which creates apathy . Trouble is the products made abroad are of much lower quality than the things that were made here but as its been a 40 odd year decline nobody seems to have noticed and it has become the standard of today .
It is such a shame.... really, such a shame... cos people didn't get their votes, and then they get funding to create mini towns and places, and cars... I didn't know that everybody has moved to areas like this... and now the asset stripping continues as well... This is such a shame. Really, it is such a shame.
Right now, not alot. Net zero won't allow energy prices to make it viable, they do melt, on the smaller VIM's and VARs that were installed but don't bother turning the furnaces on unless the books full enough to justify it. basically bankrupt at the moment, suppliers wont supply without funds up front it's got so bad. Chinese and Americans have been round looking to buy in the past few months, likely asset strippers rather than investors. Unless we build a RR SMR in every town, we're not reindustrializing any time soon on any viable scale.
That is because, we have used all of the energies for the various buildings, which is now derelict as well... !!!... Energy to run buses or to run city centres. And yet, we now are stretched for energy everywhere... This is maybe why they are now reducing this as well... If anything, they should indeed turn it into a form of electric furnace, like they have the ones inside China now. (And then, build, and create an energy generating source, which is enough to cover itself, and expand more, as they earn the profit level etc. If anything, they could generate and create more reasonable kit cars or metal for kit cars, or to remelt the metals and scraps etc.)
@@MeiinUK We had all of this but Thatcher shut down the biggest electric arc shop in the world down on Sheffield rd. The H&S is too draconian and the energy too expensive.
Laurence fox said something interesting about business. He said he met the owners of a mine. Asked if it could ever reopen and he was told never as it would upset China ?
Why would it upset China ? We can create our own internal areas... cos our votes, it dependent on us. They don't own this area, I don't think. Not at all. And if we do get it up and running, maybe we can refurbish some of the older rolling stocks for the trains as well. Or to build more windfarm blades and things.
A honest days work for a honest days pay . Where are the engineers The ship yard workers The coal miners the steel mills the pride in your job, asset stripped and lied to by a self serving politician s in west minster . Gone the way of the buffalo , the plains Indians, extinct , consined to the history books ,replaced by Ai , Pc , greed ,and a Maci d,
This man is exactly right. Let's hope the new government can seriously support reinvestment and retraining in the UK
Labour had a chance for 3 terms.
Gupta owns it still, he's trying to sell it.

Absolutely.

That is the issue high energy costs, its just getting worse. All I see is asset stripping.

Hi tim interesting video
Not much best video Andy. But I did get some info out there.
Laurence fox said something interesting about business. He said he met the owners of a mine. Asked if it could ever reopen and he was told never as it would upset China ?
Which shows we are run by the globalists Sean.

Couldn't agree more Robert. They are pretending to make steel while asset stripping and selling the land off for development.
