Paull and I talked about Epiphanies and the conversion of St. Paul comes to mind as well as the conversion of the woman at the well. So many others that have come to light....oh WoW....another epiphany!
I appreciate this video, thank you. I can't help but think that the potential over analysis of the meaning of certain aspects of the epiphany or the magi (or other parts of the bible for that matter) is unnecessary. An over analysis and the seeking of deeper meaning of details is typically reserved for works of fiction where the reader, or scholars try and interpret the intent the author was trying to achieve by including specific details in the story. While surely a believer will see God as the ultimate author of the gospels or ultimate author of the history recorded in the gospels, perhaps then it IS up to us to analyze why things happened the way they did....but for that I am not sure. Either way, I appreciate the insight provided in this video. Happy New Year
do we have a role to play in the change epiphanies bring? for example, the magi had to obey the warning to return a different way right? when preaching through the Epiphany season, can a goal be to encourage/challenge people to contemplate the change revelation has brought to their own lives?
Great question. I think with the magi I would definitely say yes. With the Angels appearance to Mary I would say yes also. But then other situations like the transfiguration I think the epiphany is so overpowering that the person is just left in pure shock at all there’s not much they can do in terms of a conscious response to it be interested to hear what others think though.
I teach New Testament studies and I like to drink coffee. But decaf coffee is just hot brown water - it doesn't get you where you wanna go. Same with biblical studies - it needs to be strong and stimulating.
Thank you sir God Bless I loved this🙏🙏🙏🔥🔥🔥😇😇😇 also if you don’t mind I’d you to give you some channel recommendations for to watch and check out these guys are awesome InspiringPhilosphy Michael Hieser Mike Licona Dr David Falk take care sir😇😇😇
The way I'm understanding this... this 'epiphany' was celebrated before 'Christmas' was created. For some, unknown reason, it was decided to be Jan 6 was the date they chose as the assumption of the date of Jesus's baptism (at 30 years old). Then after 'Christmas' was chosen to be on Dec 25, they... for some unknown reason... changed the baptism celebration to 'the date the magi came' ... despite there being up to 2 years between His birth and their arrival. So now we have confused, watered down gospel being preached that the magi arrived 12 days after His birth, so there must be 12 days of Christmas. Did I get that about right??
The epiphany is Jesus is Lord!!.. and out of Egypt he has called his son ♥️. Follow him not man who changed the 4th commandment. Exodus 20, 1 John 2:3-4, John 15:10.
great video! great special effects in the opening scene, also the book, very cool... thanks for all your hard work
Thanks Jason, I try to learn one new video skill with each one I make. Hopefully I am improving and it has been a great learning experience as well.
Thank you 😇 God bless you 🙏
You are so welcome
I was thinking about when Jesus asked” who do men say that I the son of man am?” The revealing or epiphany was done by God to Peter.

I think Paul's conversion definitely falls into this category - I had not thought of that account. Nice work. Hope more join the conversation.

Sir why you named 'Caffeinated Bible' please tell me something about that.

Did I get that about right??
Yeah. Trying to fit the liturgical cycle and Christian observances into a calendar year can make for some interesting combinations.
Is this a Lutheran site?
Not really, Anglican - but Luther had a huge influence on us.
