I run a gardening company, where we do lawn mowing, hedge cutting and general garden maintenance. I use a roller mower when mowing the lawns, to mow stripes in to the lawn, in the UK. Cutting grass and hedge trimming in Amazing gardens. I usually do the gardening with an assistant gardener.
I often go back to the same gardens, generally every 2 weeks. For which I have created seperate playlists for. I use an estate car to carry all my equipment to go to different gardens, I use a roller lawn mower, combination tool for strimming and hedge cutting and various hand tools like a fork and spade for all the other jobs.

CRITICAL Lawn Mower Maintenance in Winter
Such a great collection! Succulents are so neat.
It's such a nice hobby to do with the boys!
I love it👍🏾
👌thankyou
😮Sta je ovo!?
I don't know its name, but it's a small succulent plant.
Soooo boring lately
🙂↕️
Lindo !😊
Hermosos❤
Such a tour guide your son is! "And here we have . . . " Delightful ❤
Bless him he was so nervous, I'm so proud 🥲 X
What would happen if you mixed rooting hormone in the water?
You could try it, may help. But I avoid anything artificial, I've never found it necessary and just adds expense and complication.
@@CityGardener good point. Thanks for getting back to me I appreciate it.
Love your succulent collection. It is so wonderful to see a father and son enjoy nature together.
Thank you! We love doing this together X
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
I have an exterior thorny hedge about knee height up sitting against my garden fence which I need to reduce the width of. Any advice you can spare?
Hi, you can try hedge cutters, but equally secateurs & loppers, doing it by hand can be just as fast and accurate
Id?
We're not sure what some of the plants are called as they have a label like 'cactus mix'
Bie bie rosemary bush .... Wife 👠👠🤣🤣 will be very upset when coming home 😅
🤪 a massacre!
Woher kommst du wenn ich fragen darf!😅
Hi, I'm originally from Suffolk in the South East of UK, we now live in the middle of the country.
Schöne Gegend! Direkt an der Küste oder?
Schönes Video, ich mag die ganzen Hauswurz und Sedum gewächse auch!👍
Thanks! We have sedums ..
Und Crassulaceae für die Wohnung!
@@xx-m1super-xxps73 those are nice, lots of choice
Very impressed with the little helpers 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Well done boys, keep up the good work 👍🏾
Thanks 👍 it's very nice to do with the boys, keeps them busy!
Wow, that's quite a collection you have! Very nice. 🪴👍
🤪 built it up over the summer
Yeah I’d be pissed about the cable look and use your eyes and common sense yeah that would come out of the bill
Yes agreed, Id always make good the repair or bill.
Are you using tap water? Or nutrient water? Are you using rooting hormone?
Hi, just tap water, nothing else, change the water every few days
Great job. Beautiful arrangement!
Thanks 👍 it was fun to do!
Yep , I cut the phone wire with the strimmer ! Also decapitated a gnome.
🤪
Wow that’s lovely. He’s much braver than me with no gloves!
🤪 our hands were hurting at the end of the day! I have ordered some tongs to hold them in future
Get your waste on the lawn ,put your lawnmower on a medium setting and mulch it up ,easier to handle when its baggedin the mower.
Great idea, thanks
keep up the good work
Thanks I will 🤞
Thank you!!
Welcome 😊
How do we prevent it from growing again’
Pull/dig them up by the root
I hope you'll make full length videos for jobs like this. That lawn was gorgeous even while overgrown.
Yes I make full length videos, lots! I do like the grass when its long and gone to seed.
The slugs and snails in our garden haven't watched this video yet and continue to glide straight across my egg shell powder and broken shards...Just caught one big snail 10mins ago on a freshly repotted rosemary plant with plenty of crushed egg shells around it. Looks like it'll be back to enticing them with beer traps again!
Thanks!❤❤❤
You're welcome!
I just sharpen mine with an angle grinder with the blades still on, mind you I use it everyday for work and get a new blade set every 4 or 5 months. I would of had that sharpened in 10 minutes before work. Also having a few trimmers works as you don't knacker the conifer trimming blade on heavy cutting hedges, shrubs, high tensile wire, stones and secret hidden angle irons stuck in the ground. Gotta love them for taking out teeth🤣
I know Im going to try a faster way! They do get wrecked! The nail sticking out gets me every time..
That job is NOT finished We did 80 FOOT by 25 FOOT 95% brambles clearance …. It’s taken 5 months …… not just all gone but CUT at roots NO growth left no treating with weed killer …. That job looked a piece of p*ss to do !!! 😮
Now treating with weed killer !
Lol, it wasnt too bad, cut them down & mix of pulling them out & digging them out.
Wow, is he m u r d e r I n g that poor rosemary?
Hehe, a lot of people said that! It came back very nicely though 😜
Certainly wouldn’t be doing that wearing shorts. I chopped some 9’ high and 15’ deep, just went in with my chainsaw as a lot had stems 1” thick waited for some fresh leaves to appear then glyphosate.
They're not easy!
Would of taken it all down could not put up with that in my garden
I know, not sure how it got that bad!
Greetings from South Africa. I cut hedge too low. Will the stems grow again?
Hi, it will probably grow back, I have cut down so many bushes and trees over the years. The ones that struggle to come back usually have very thick stems. For example a bush that is very old and has a stem as thick as a tree. But in most cases they come back.
Get a smaller file and you do not have to take them apart I've been sharing mind that way for 20 years file, you need one no bigger than a half inch wide.
Great, thanks I'll look in to that!
Brambles should be classified as an obnoxious plant and be banned ! They destroy everything in their path.
They can be very tough to deal with. In parks they're good in August for picking berries!
Hi, what make and model is the machine that you use to cut the bramble bush?
Hi, it's a Stihl Kombi KM111R there'll be newer models now. + Brush cutter & hedge cutter attachment. An engine that can take different add on attachments.
How the heck does your mower not conk out cutting that 😂 I am trying to cut grass similar length and even after strimming it down, my mower is conking out on the short grass and it’s brand new 179cc petrol mower 💀
Do a wheelie with the mower! It elevates the blade.
@@CityGardener I did try this but it still seems to cut out, I may have to investigate if the mower is perhaps just crap (it’s a Hyundai)
Tip1 , the underside nuts that the sockets doesn't fit on, use a flat head screw driver and jam that in the gap, then do up the opposing side, they don't need to be supa tight. Tip 2, the lube tube actually screws into the hole, then squeeze the greese out, then unscrew the tube. Good upload on sharpening. thx
Great tips! 👍
I just made one of these from your wonderful design and added an electric motor that I had from an old cement mixer. I just love upcycling and using broken and discarded materials to build new redesigned useful products. Thanks again City Gardener
Wow that's amazing, you're very welcome and I'm jealous you have powered it! Very impressive
Brilliant! My mate left his old cement mixer at my place when he bought a new one. I'm off to cut some holes in the drum and put mesh over them.
That will get lots of use! Very cool. Be interesting to see how the grass improves over time with the added nutrients.
OMG I would have bought this , the bones of the garden. Unfortunatly age had caught up with the owner, but new blood, well done.
Thanks, yes we saw the garden and had to have it, the house hasn't been touched since the 70's so needs a lot of work
Great tour! Such changes in a year - the work you've accomplished really shows.
Thanks! It's great being able to look back
The hen house needs a Chicken Cam 😁. Good to see you & the chickens. Sorry you lost your original group.
Actually super interesting, way more compost than I anticipated lol
Thanks! I need to process it now, I'm thinking a compost tumbler with wire mesh to turn it & sieve it
I’ve got a bramble problem myself, garden is neglected at the moment. I want to get a handle on it. How do you stop them coming back?
You have to go through thoroughly & dig out every single root, or pull them out, whatever technique works best
I did something similar but alot more serious, I cut through a copper gas pipe coming from the meter fixed to the house wall with gas rushing out. I was in panic I quickly turned the supply off, I wouldn't mind I had a plywood board protecting the pipe and wire's but it dropped down right at the moment I approached it with hedge trimmer.
Oh wow, that sounds like a terrifying situation!
You could almost mistake them for cleavers.
Ya missed plenty of stripes on first cut. ❤
I think with hind sight, my blade was a little blunt 😅
