To be fair, I'm pretty sure when they first made BattleTech they wanted to make it so firing all of the weapons was an un-ideal event for a last stand and most mechs being hot if they were "good" specialised mechs. Obviously that isn't the case since rules made it easy to make effective and heat-neutral builds.
Yea, getting backstabbed on a fafnir at that flank is almost certain if you guys weren't behind him. Lights would have just popped him in the back by landing on him. The lanner was running so hard cause he can't brawl a fafnir and another mech he saw, plus another assault.

I've been running My Hunchback 4H with a Gauss Rifle in the hunch. So happy the Gauss are back to being awesome. Happy with the PPC's too. Nice job PGI, now... New Mechs? Pillager? Watchman? Some Ostmechs maybe?
Want crazy? Try a WHM-6R with a STD 215, 45 armor in the legs, 0 armor in the arms, 7 armor on the cockpit, and 2 ER PPCs; 2 Light Gauss; 2 Double Heatsinks; 2 CASE split between both side torsos. 4 tons of ammo strewn wherever. Or drop the CASE/Heatsinks and use an XL 280 if Gauss explosions in the side torsos don't phase you.
I must just be a weirdo because I LOVED the old light gauss and hate it now. It used to be a SNAP shot monster, utterly pinpoint and rapid fire. Running 2 of 'em on a marauder with 2 MPL in one arm and 2 ML in the other was just a high ROF, high DPS, insanely precise beast of a mech. Now the ROF reduction has made them feel like just kinda bad clan gauss rifles. They had more personality when they shot so crazy fast.
Both games were awesome Bara, especially the first one. But I have to say watching two Fatnirs sitting in the Butthole of an Elephant, instead of sharing armor, makes me sad.

First game was beastly :D Second game I was looking at the blip on your radar but you were focused on shooting. Luckily you did react in time, once you took a back shot so the snipers curse didn't get you. The poor flea had a bad time :D Not a good idea to go up against pinpoint. Enjoyed the games Bara. i love the lbx's. i use those in almost all my builds. i used a rifleman with 2 lb10x's with a couple of lasers and for my first match i got 740 damage and 4 kills.
Oh Hey I got Team Killed by a guy in this build today. He didn't take kindly to me using quick chat to make light of him getting harassed by a light mech, while he was way off in the middle of nowhere all by himself.
Ive got the bushwacker hero, lgauss lasvomit. Super fun to chuck slugs at distance and the rake em with a bunch of lasers. Or in no hud vice versa for aim.
You are so good in the medium and light mechs, time seems to crawl when you play the big boys. Still good though because your shooting is so accurate. It is sort of like watching an old HBO special where Eric Clapton did a whole set on just an acoustic guitar. Well done.

Canyon Network and Hibernal Rift can be such a headache if you don't have jumpjets, I feel that pain
I see that with Canyon, but Hibernal seems a little easier. There's a few ramps to go up in the middle of the map.

That ramp issue is exactly why Canyon is the first map PGI is revisiting (I think it's being released next month?)

Gauss rifle health was improved significantly.

How do you get the (S) Variant? I only have the Regular FNr-5 not the FNR-5(s). I cannot equip the 4 gauss
Too many dances. Double heavy gauss is more deadly.
Are they uncoupled from the heatscaling with ppcs? So could you make a ERPPC light gauss build or is that still not viable?
You can do 2 L-gauss and 2 Snub ppc without ghost heat
The cooldowns sync well so you can brawl with them but there's a big range difference
Works pretty well for me. 880m 40 pin point damage can be quite good under the right circumstances.

Has MWO removed the "Chat All Function" I needed to use it once and I could not, despite the hotkey being there still.
It's there but turned off by default now, you need to enable it in settings.

Light gauss got +25% dmg. But cooldown ~+50%. So dps is now lower than before... nice buff PGI...
It IS smaller now though, less slot space... So... Kinda ok...
