The student pilot buttered that landing. 33kt gusting crosswind is where pilots are born.
We say greaser. Also, this was not 33 knots wind. The audio must’ve been put in. Max demonstrated crosswind is 15 knots. The wind was 290 and runway 2 was used. That’s a direct crosswind.
@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183 Max demonstrated X-wind is a number created by the attorneys. I've done much more many time is both 172s and 152. Wonderful X-wind aircraft. The will do 25 K or more. I instructed for many years. Check out Gnoss Field, Novato CA. In the spring if you aren't a great X-wind pilot, you don't fly.
NAILED it!!
Credit to the instructor as well. He calmly talked to the student pilot and let him continue the approach and land the plane.
@thornefroemming7796 Absolutely! The worse Crosswind component I have ever had was 19020kt23G and still never made such a smooth centerline like this.
Great flying from the student in the Cessna. The A300 pilot did a fine job in those conditions too.
"Nicely done."
I know we all heard him. This is for engagement, as well as my approval! ✈
That 747 is still Queen of the sky!
But the A380 is king of the skies. Just superior European technology.
@@SirReginaldBlomfield1234that’s funny!
This video brought to you by......."wind"
Ahh yes good old nor-witch
It always amuses me when non-Brits attempt at placenames. If you don't live here even if you're sure you know how it should sound, still just look up a pronunciation video, so you know your Bicester from your Cirencester, your Slough from your Loughborough, your Cholmondeley from your Hunstanton, and your Frome from your Happisbrugh (cheat sheet for these: "bis-ter" "siren-ses-ter", "slaaw", "luff-bruh", "chum-lee", "hun-ston", "froom", "hays-bruh"; also for Norwich the "w" is silent like it is most of the time in the middle of words "nor-ich"). Place names really do reach back far in time where the written form doesn't sound like it used to and the spoken form has diverged in a different direction.
Stay safe and consult someone before saying a placename out loud, it doesn't matter if it looks safe.
Yeah I know it’s bad that some people can’t pronounce “no-rich”
You write norwich, so I say norwich and lucaas says too. What's the problem?
@@mikiradzio2214 UK placenames are notorious for how the way they are written and they way they are pronounced being different, Norwich is pronounced "nor-ich" there's no "w" sound in the name
Computer voice?
I had a compressor stall once and had to walk my mountain bike the rest of the way up the hill.
Pretty dang good for a student pilot. He'll learn to get that centerline. Always good to hear positive feedback from the instructor.
I recognize that airport in the last video. That’s Hartford-Brainard (HFD).
I'll sleep better knowing that fact.
Good job, Cessna.
That student was impressive, well done!

Disfrutemos del B747 mientras aún están con vida ❤
You know it's a good crosswind when the passengers can line the runway up for you!
😂Yup! On one side, the other side gets to wave at the plane watchers @ the threshold end as they fly by!..
for 11 years ago today happened asiana airlines flight 214 in San Fransisco
It's been 11 years... Ho Lee Fuk!
@@Red-rl1xx still too early. kids died on that flight.
@@orangeVSappel LOL, the guy who put those names up got fired
Strong Winds Special!
Hats off to Student pilot, nice work
Poor thumbs down..."Where is he stunt?"
The pronunciation of Norwich 💀 😂
It’s pronounced “Narrrrich”!
How is pronounced?
@@bobbyrutz9402 Porridge Norwich
@@bobbyrutz9402you drop the W in Norwich. Pronounce it Norritch
@@Stu_2112 Oh nice, I don't know why I didn't know that. I'm Canadian, I'm supposed to be smart. I think. Thanks!
That 737 noped out quickly!
Looks like the engine that had a compressor stall ingested something from the ground.
No, the air got disturbed. Basically, its own reverse blast got ingested by the engine.
Luckily no engines were injured 😊
Appreciate the honesty in your videos, it's rare these days
A C-17 backing up using reverse thrust is not a 'stunt'.
It's a stunt performed at an air show, it's correct. You can look up words if you don't know the multiple definitions
When a C17 uses backs up immediately after landing like that, yes, it is a stunt that’s only performed at air shows.
In general though, a C- 17 using reverse thrust to back up is normal ops.
Exactly what I’m saying.
It's a display, not a stunt. This channel is famous for intentionally mischaracterizing what is later shown for clicks but turning out to be something else. Interwebs these days.
@@benjaminpohl3104 Exactly, Benjamin.
I’ve had a few student pilots that could handle that much XW in my career, but only a few. That man did awesome in that direct XW.
Great video brother from the imperial county California 👍🇺🇲
Same here
Yes, some aircraft can go in reverse on the ground, by using reverse thrusters.
Cessna 172 did great. I've flown those. Very nice aircraft.
I respect you because you are the only UA-camr that has down this type of content with planes and used a real thumbnail and using correct aircraft terms. I’m subscribing for sure. Keep up the good work
With the C-172, the tower giving the winds must be edited in. The max crosswind component of the C-172, if I recall correctly, is 15 knots. The “tower” said 290 at 20 gusting to 33. They are using runway 2 (020 heading), which gives it a direct crosswind of 20 to 33 knots. Are you allowed over the 15 knots? Sure, but the crab angle would be double of this video. And you would nearly need full left aileron down and almost full right rudder. It didn’t look like that anywhere near that in this video. He barely has a crab angle. Also, the airplane would drift over to the right with those kind of winds.
I’d say the wind report was fake.
Norwich probably best pronounced “ Noritch”
Clickbait title. The stunt didn’t go wrong. Surge/stall is highly likely at high thrust and low airspeed. It happens frequently during this maneuver
Thats not part of stunt you reject
Exhaust ingestion perhaps
@@brucebaxter6923 yeah, the turblent exhaust flow combined with high power setting will cause a compressor stall. Quite frequent, especially when doing these power backs
@@griffith211 exhaust ingestion was a big problem when they were designing the harrier.
Have you not realized yet that most of the videos and clips are mostly clickbait. Always a good video or 2 in them but it’s pretty much the same every time
Nicely done indeed!
Nice job on that last one.
Great landing by the student pilot.
The W in Norwich isn't pronounced lol.
That's good to know, lived here my whole life and we all pronounce the "wich"...than again we live on the other side of the pond and have been butchering languages for a couple centuries now 😅
@@dreadminion1284Yes, it's pronounced as Norridge - but it sounds more like Narge in the strong local dialect.
Very nice. And that was a 737 max that did the go round😊
That instructor is the pilot whisperer.
Keep up the good work!
Doing better în reverse then many foreward
I believe the correct usage is “compressor stall”, not “compression”. Thanks
That klm...i thought he bossed that one.
Bro considered anything unusual as stunt including disasters 😅
Absolutely no stunts were involved in this video.
Cool to see Norwich my local in your vid think Norwich need more fame to it tbh
Clickbait
Evidently there's 90 didn't pronunciations of Norwich. 😂😂😂
A300 ist still a fav !
0:00 what? Y’all don’t take off backwards
The first one happened at RAAF base Richmond in Sydney australia
Varför inleder du alla klipp med ”this”? Det är ganska fantasilöst, och det har varit samma sak i åratal. Variation förnöjer.
Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing....
Compressor stall= visual inspection before next flight!!!
looked like it ate a bird.
At no point is there a stunt, just some landings and a go around.
@lucaas Just for assistance, Norwich is spellet "Norich", not spelling the W, just wanted to point that out
It is SPELLED Norwich but PRONOUNCED Norich. Jeez, get it right before mocking the guy 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
And off course just to the south west of Norwich is Wymondham 😳
1:48 カニの横ばいから、滑走路に軸線合わせるの大変だね。
Good videos ❤🎉
These crackle tunes are out of control
Lol, Norwich airport is phonetically pronunced "Norrich" airport.
I have seen the B-52 bomber land sideways in a crosswind.
Nice job, kid.
it looks like it sucked up some FOD
'FOD' is for 'Foreign Object Danger' or 'Foreign Object Damage'.
A foreign object can be sucked in, _'FOD'_ cannot.
747 is such a beautiful plane. I hope the Queen of the Skies will keep flying for many decades. It would be cool if a few were kept flying in the same way there are steam trains doing excursions today. People could pay for the experience. With old-school interiors and pretty flight attendants. And the upper level would be the lounge like it used to be. And you can smoke cigarettes.
A compressor stall on the ground is no big deal. It's when you're in the air... that's when things can go wrong.
Get You planes right 😅
Lucas can you please make more live streams and videos in Microsoft Flight Simulator?
A single go around cost thousand 😢😢😢
Not going around when you should can cost a whole lot more...like the entire airplane and your life.
Is that aero logistics 747 in the corner at 1:55 the last one made
FYI - Norwich is pronounced norritch.
Lot of whoop about nothing. 🙄
Is it just me or did that engine on the C-17 that had the issue seemed like it was shaking just before it happened? Its as if something got ingested and said object bounced around.
Nor-wick
No, Norridge, or Norritch.
Click bait with C-17 engine not catching fire like the video prompt shows...
Drama folks, it's all BS drama
clickbait? the thumbnail is literally just a screen grab from the video lol... you can see it around 0:28
Is that last runway in East Hartford CT?
@@ExtraChrisP08 it definitely is. You can see Wethersfield Cove, 91, and the Connecticut river on the approach.

My tax dollars at work. NIce job C-17 pilot. Hope showing off was worth it! lol
What stunt?
Hell no
unsynced🎉
Why old vids?
W vid. thank you for doing this every single week for us aviators🫡
cant understand why this channel has over 1 mil subs 🙄
And what part was going "wrong"???
It’s pronounced Norich NOT NorWich ie the “W” is silent
Does Worcester have an airport?
For future reference, it’s pronounced Nor-rich. Don’t ask me why it just is 😂✌️🇬🇧
Just to let you inow, Norwich is pronounced "Norritch", not "Nor-witch". Don't worry, you weren't the first, and you won't be the last!
A bloody stupid bot Voice doesn't know any different I suppose.
I always mute these videos.
Landing a C-17 safely is not a STUNT. 👎
That engine most likely had a foreign object go through it. It's no stunt, they're designed to do that in normal survice. By the way, if your voice isn't AI, it's really annoying!
Clickbait and the video is 18 years old from stephans channel
I hate FRAUDULANT Clicl Bait, thumbs down for me!!!!!!!
Click bait
I hope you know that photoshopped thumbnails are the fastest way for you to get me to UNsubscribe..... basically now , I'm not sure that I trust anything you say 🤷♂
With 1.52M subscribers, I don’t think he’d be overly concerned about you. Do what you want.
@@inncogneato6341 you're right , he almost certainly is not interested in my opinion. But equally, I don't really care how many subscribers he has. That said, and since you brought it up, my point was just that you'd think someone who has 1.52M subscribers wouldn't need to resort to clickbait.... 🤷♂....thx for the advice tho ....
