Just passed my road test and im commenting this on all the videos I watched to help me pass. Thank you so much for your help. Getting a license especially in New York (where im from) is a huge deal when you live far from public transportation. So thank you for relieving the stress I had for years about it. Message to the test takers, Do not focus on the instructor or whatever they’re doing when you’re taking your test. Just listen to their directions, pay attention and focus on the road. The test is really short and simple, there is no tricks or gimmicks. Good luck!
Congratulations on passing your test. I agree with you about not focusing on what your Driving test examiner is doing, but listening to their instructions and focusing on the road. I'm from and live in the UK, we have some of the busiest and narrowest roads and streets It seems in the world imo. Lol. I failed my first test mainly through nerves but my 2nd test was around 3 months later, I kept noticing that the examiner ((who happened to be the same one who had previously failed me!) Kept checking his watch. I thought to myself keep driving, don't let him get to you, I'm going to do this in my own time!(wellwithin reason of course!) I finished the exam and I passed! My driving instructor was so pleased he picked me up and spunned me around. When driving me back home he then told me, that the car had had problems starting that morning, and he was just hoping that I would start it first time! I'm so glad that I didn't know that before the test!. Can't believe that was 38 years ago this year! I still have problems with parallel parking though, and prefer to park where there plenty of space.
This video couldn't be any clearer, I absolutely LOVE the detail and effort you put into this. The animations are perfect, the explanations are clear and leave no room for confusion, and the editing with the head camera side by side with the car camera (like at 3:44) REALLY just puts it all over the top. You're helping so many students and you're such a great teacher, thank you!

I just passed my road test after watching this! I had driving lessons and the instructor just taught me that I need to turn the wheel once completely once to the right then reverse and line up at a 45 degree angle then make two full turns to the left and continue reversing. It worked sometimes but I wasn’t consistent. I was panicking because yesterday I couldn’t get it down and had my road test today, then I came across this video. What saved me was lining up the cars license plate in the middle of the passenger side window before turing the wheel to the left and continuing. I practiced that over and over again and it’s worked every time! Thank you so much!
I just passed my driving test last week, watching your videos and I learn a lot and help me to boost my confidence. Thank you very much for uploading and your effort to make this video its help a lot on me or in others as well.
I am English and am passing my driver license in France. I hate how we can't drive a friends or family member car to practise so you are definitely a life saver!
This guy’s video and edit is another level and best out there in UA-cam and definitely underrated. Failed on 1st road test coz I didn’t know your channel and I’m 100% sure I’ll pass this time. Watched all your videos in 3 days and I’m sad that I found you late. Great work! Keep it up 👍 👍 👍
This is an amazing video. Your guidance regarding adjusting the reference points for different sized vehicles is invaluable. My daughter was struggling with ending up too far from the curb even after following the instructions from her driving instructor. We couldn’t figure out what she was doing wrong until we saw your video. A few simple adjustments and she was parallel parking like an expert. Thank you!!
You are the best instructor ever!!You put yourself in the new drivers shoes and see our struggles, that’s why all the tips are thoughtful and helpful, not all the good drivers are good teachers but you are definitely both, thank you very much sir, god bless you ❤
Finally the best description and explanation I’ve ever seen, and that have been quite a lot! You tell about all the valuables, not only ‘bout one, which could be wrong for the own car. Great explained and shown clearly with the animations! Many thx for your videos, the only ones that matches for everybody!
OMG, yes this is exactly what’s been happening to me and has made me want to give up and take my test this coming Tuesday! I’m either too far away or I’m on top of the freaking curb! I can’t seem to judge the distance I’m taking the test in a car with a rear camera which they allow you to keep on, but they watch you like to make sure that you are using your mirrors more than the camera I’m going to watch this video until it’s memorized and just keep parallel parking until Tuesday morning at 10:45 AM and pray that I got it. Thank you so much for this video and all of your videos. They’re so wonderful and helpful.
What a fantastic, concise explanation! This is my biggest and only problem when driving but having a physical visual reference is great to have along with the 1-2-1 method (1 whole turn of the steering wheel to the right and then 2 to the left and then 1 to the right again). You're a lifesaver!
Some of the best videos because you talk about realistic scenarios and cover variables encounters in real driving. All other videos neglect the size of the car being driven, the size of the cars being parked between, and so on, but you don't. You cover them and make it known that there are exceptions and that it's not a silver bullet answer. It's fantastic!
I have been driving for a long, I visit you channel to learn parking( parallel, back etc.). My son got Drivers license recently, I made him watch this channel (better than what he learned in the driving school)
Failed my first advanced road test so now I am trying again next week and parallel parking is a big thing for me. I don't want my dad helping me practice as he can get heated when i do something wrong. 10 years of driving and I should know this skill but I rarely avoid parallel parking as its not something I do. Great videos. They are really outstanding. You put so much depth into explaining and talking about different size of vehicles. I have a new SUV so haven't had practice with parallel parking unlike my old elantra.
the only problem I have is with parallel parking and this video completely solves what problem i was facing when parallel parking, ive got my road test today and this is for sure gonna help me
My driving improved a lot because of your videos. Less fight between me and my husband who was teaching me. Will take my license exam on May 19. Please pray for me.
This is the best video on parallel parking. Really appreciate your effort in making the animation and such detail in explaining. Thank you so much for making this video. It is really helpful.
I have been driving since 1966. The key to parallel parking is to learn and know your vehicle. When I started driving there were no cameras. We had only the mirrors and turning your head to watch outside. I now drive a large SUV. It has cameras. Because of its size I have to use the cameras, but I also still use the mirrors and turning my head as best possible. I have no issues parallel parking with this SUV. It is 19 feet long, 7 feet wide, and over 6 feet high.
I LOVE this! This is so helpful. And hilarious!! I love the way your eyes get all big when you're leaning forward. That's exactly how I FEEL when I'm trying to squeeze into a spot! Supper helpful.
I've always been taught the triangle side mirror method: lower side mirror so that you can reverse to the curb and reverse up until the curb makes a small triangle at the corner of the mirror with the back wheel, then turn in. It's kinda annoying because you actually have to lower the mirror first so it takes longer in traffic, and it's hard to see at night especially in a low lit area.
rear camera really helps with such situations as to recognize how far from the curb we are, it is essential for fresh drivers to have such camera but not to rely on it too much as it can be misleading sometimes
I love this channel. You put so much effort in amazing editing! just so we will understand best. And it works. Your methos and the editing is so good description and time effective and and appreciative. Thank you ! Thank you.
I love this guy, and this channel. I think is the only channel on UA-cam in which I cannot find a single negative comment 😁, so that should means something, right? ❤️💕😍
Failed my driver's test a week ago because I was too nervous I was going to fail after not doing so well on parallel parking. This has calmed my nerves for tomorrow when I take my test again!

Nice vid. Question/s, how close should you be from the car next to you before attempting to park? How about parallel parking at the drivers side? I've been driving for a couple of years now but parallel parking for me is a hit or miss specially since I live in a populous chicago community. Parking spots are mostly tight like bumper-to-bumper tight.
I just came to see only if I should not hit the curb for my driving test, If i were a beginner I will be overwhelmed for so many measurements. I always just check my right rear mirror and align the bumper with the curb at around 45 degrees turn the wheel and thats it. Anyways, Congrats for so very good videos and all the work you put on them.
Thanks. Actually, touching the curb can be very useful, especially when parking in a rtight spot. It gives you a reference point. However, in many places, they don't accept that at the exam. But in everyday life, it can be useful when done safely.

Thanks for your videos... your videos are better than others. Really they give you very good logical tips and easy to understand. Thank you once again.
Nice video as always. Just today I was parking like this and hit the curb. I prefer smoothly touching the curb before staying too far from it because when you touch it, you can turn the wheels fully to the curb, advance to the car infront And turn the wheels fully from the curb. My problem Is that backing up to the spot, i use too sharp angle.
I think the best way is using the passenger mirror and the curb as references. So if on the mirror that triangle totally closes then them we can move to the next step but is important that the mirror is configured correctly.
I’ve never had an issue parallel parking…until recently. I don’t know why. We only have (no charge) parallel parking at my apartment complex. So I rented a garage space. The problem now is that the support bars between the spaces are so close, you almost have to tilt both side view mirrors in to not hit the bars. Plus, to add more difficulty, there is not enough space between the rows of garages to pull straight in without doing a three point turn. Many of us have run into these issues here. The garages were built in the 50s, when cars were much wider. 🤦🏻♀️
