I actually found the full video on youtube a few months ago, and to be honest, even though I'm not Japanese, I like hearing Mario and Luigi talk in Japanese. There is something charming to it.
Wow that was genuinely a wholesome experience, not only is it an educational game that had more attention to detail as a mario show than anything released on TV globally at the time but it also taught practical lessons as well, like how you shouldn't treat your brother like shit. It's honestly a shame that cartoons dont do this much anymore, instead going for "muh randomness xdee". I guess I wasnt really expecting this from an obscure toy on the other side of the globe from me.
If I was a kid, I'd still like something like that. It's only because kids today have Fortnite, Minecraft, and stuff raising them, so Mario seems too kiddy and outdated to them.

Great video! It’s a very innovative toy that I can definitely see children using back in the day. This reminds me of a similar device called the “Interac-TV” that my siblings and I got one Christmas. It used a dvd and a tablet-like device that interacted with the disc using various templates that you could switch depending on the cartoon you were watching (like Spongebob, Dora, Blue’s Clues, Scooby Doo, etc.). It was pretty fun.
