Yes! Ironically,I had just tried to sketch your grandson today….. and it wasn’t good…but, I have been sick for 25 years, and therefore haven’t been doing any sketching. People are so difficult for me, and so yesterday decided that I would draw one face per day, if I am able! Also work on watercolor once a day. I am a good stippler, and adept at pen and ink, but I LOVE COLOR, that’s how I found you! You’re great, and I am definitely oot of my comfort zone! I appreciate you more than you know. On the days that I am too sick to do work, I still watch your videos, all the way to the end, for the laughs, of course! God bless you Louise!

Louise, you are not those men, you are Louise and you’re art is unbelievably beautiful! You are also a wonderful teacher! You sound like you’re describing me when you talk of yourself.
I was comfortable with pen and ink as well as acrylic painting. Watching you and a few others has made me step out of my comfort zone, buy quality watercolor supplies and start practicing. I’ve done nothing memorable but I’m trying. I’m 72 now and hope before I die I can add watercolor artist to my inner and outer titles! You are an inspiration to me. By the way I love your bloopers! 😂🇨🇦👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏼☝🏻✝️

Thank you Louise and Leo 🥰 I had an aha! moment yesterday. It occurred to me that when actors are being shown their work on a chat show, they invariably shrug it off, or play it down to the audience to signify that it wasn't their best work. I always wondered why. I think it's because they always see the version of themselves that could have done it better, whereas the audience sees someone doing something that they know they could never do! I think that's true of artists too. We nit pick our own work, second guess ourselves and undermine our own skills - we should be the audience of our work, and appreciate our skills. Louise, your work is not and never will be 'melted down gummy bears'. As member of your audience, I am in awe of your skills, and I love your videos. Thank you for saying just the right thing at the right time! 🥰 oh, and ps. We all paint what we love to paint the most - where our passion lies - yours may not be landscapes right now - and that's good too x

The little boy portrait turned out so wonderful ...with such expressive colors! You are a very good artist. Yes it's true..to try something new can be refreshing and takes you further. I always try something new...botanicals, animals, portraits and actually landscapes. Simply the joy of painting that's the most important for me. Some pictures failed, it doesn't matter, it's only paper and this is part of the learning process.

Valuable tips as always Louise. I started watercolour painting just over a year ago. At the time, I hadn’t done any drawing for years and I’d never painted at all, in any medium. I quickly decided a class was the way to go, so I attend a regular weekly class, plus I look at the work of other artists on instagram and follow a number of artists here on UA-cam who all have their own style. I’ve learned so much from my teacher and from all of you wonderful UA-camrs. There are a couple of things that I feel have helped me grow. Firstly, in my regular class, I don’t get to choose my subject, so I have to learn to draw, and then paint, subjects that I may not be interested in, or feel are above my skill level. Secondly, I make myself finish every painting, whether I think it’s going well or not. I’ve been really surprised by what I can do and if I don’t like a finished painting, I assess what worked and what didn’t and apply it to the next painting. I’d really encourage people, if they can’t get to a regular class, to try out tutorials here and/or sign up with their favourite teacher on Patreon and commit to regular practice and finishing each piece. You won’t regret it. 🙏

Great message, so important for professional and personal growth. All of us are on a learning journey every day. Nobody knows everything, not even the masters. Making mistakes and failing is how we learn. I'm pretty sure we all get impostor syndrome, no matter how good we are. Having fun, learning, and being curious is all that matters. Because it will show through everything we create. Everything we do will reflect it. You're so honest and humble.

Love the surprise visit from a fan😅 Yes other artists are intimidating. I have yet to attempt your style 😉. I listen to your calming voice and get inspired to paint. I'm 8 months experience now, though I used to paint acrylic looong ago. I recently tried painting on 100 cotton and it's definitely a longer dry time. My other papers are my go to until I'm better though I have a couple paintings I'll reproduce on cotton. I thought your painting was excellent 👍
