You do the best reviews. Not just in your words but with great video filming. I'm always impressed.
I'm not into extra lenses (not yet anyway). I'm glad I got rid of my SLR (which I loved) and heavy bag full of useful junk. I just love having all my camera in my pocket (iphone 12pm).
I do have a clip on polarising filter but haven't used it out in the field. It's just so annoying having to take it out and clip it on, taking care to align it properly.
Good video mate! I use my wide angle from moment on my iPhone XR combining the portrait mode and makes some interesting cool shots cause of the computational portrait. And I have my 60mm from sandmarc and believe me it really kicks off. If you have the chance to get an iPhone XR or a phone with a single lens like the pixel first gen it will make some amazing shots
Keep it up bro! Love your content!....greetings from Chile!
Keep making videos broo. They are so good
David I would love to see a review of Shiftcam lenses and the Shiftcam pro grip
Amazing videos. Have you ever found an add on lens that works well over the iPhones telephoto lens? For example I’d like to add a 2x add on over my iPhone 13 pro 3x telephoto. Then I’d have 6x 😄
One of the best and most honest reviews! (1st video = subscribed)
Another great video. Really well put together and presented. Awesome channel, mate. Subbed.
Thanks! Welcome aboard!
It’s perfect review, thanks!
Great video, you deserve more thumbs! This is amazing comparison.
Much appreciated!
this was very helpful & descriptive without being DREADFULLY boring 😂 thank u!
Hi David, great video. I recently got a Anamorphic Lens from Moment for my iphone 14 Pro but the vignette is terrible !
Very well explained. Thanks
Great video but can you use the cheaper lens case with an iPhone 8 ?
WOW David..... no words for your well work. Come on !! People, we have to share David's content to the world. Amazing quality.
Haha thanks a lot, Diego!
thats such a long and full quality review of these lens! btw i still find Ulanzi really fine for a 32 budget lens
This video is made with so much time and effort. You sir have gained a subscriber. I am a fan of your amazing color grading
Thank you, my colour grading here wasn't great but I've taken some time to really learn and improve it over the new year.
Excellent video as always. With the new iPhone 13 pro and the better camera lenses would you consider these lenses useful or not to bother? I was thinking more of the Moment wide angle lens and the telephoto. Also have you noticed any difference to the picture quality while using these lenses with the iPhone 13? Apparently, the Moment telephoto lens softens the photos.
Thanks! I haven't had chance to try them on the 13 yet
How do you have less than 500k subs
You are way too underrated
You deserve so much more.
I love your videos. ❤️
Much love from india
Maybe one day!
I love the fact that you are class conscious and think about people with less financial means
Have you noted that Moment cases are MagSafe compatible? This adds some handy alternatives for mounting….
Have u tried the newer Pholes (ulanzi) 105mm portrait lens?
Great video, thanks alot
The part 12:48 minutes are you film with the lens or your own camera ?
Thanks for the value/cost-benefit review of lenses in different price ranges.
I recently trialed Neewer 60mm Tele and 18mm Wide. Similar to Ulanzi.
Glad it was helpful!
Will the moment screw on the ulanzi case
I’m a Moment user, but also own the Ulanzi anamorphic lens & case…I like the Moment case, as I can put the Tele lens on the wide angle and vice versa…make for additional shooting options…I use counterweights when using the DJI OM4 with both, and have ND filters for bothering as well…
Thanks
Can u use the moment case and using a different lense on that cases like apexel or ulanzi?
@@kingjarroder1169 I believe not
@@thelongarmmarine what about moment lens on ulanzi case
What am I doing wrong ? I got the 58mm for my iPhone 13 pro and the images are not sharp, have chromatic aberration and vignettes. Also the images look more like normal lens (50mm) than telephoto. I’m using moment app and have the 58mm over the wide camera 1x.
Thx great video. One question, dose the ulanzi lens fit on the moment or polarpro litecaser?
Thanks! I've no idea, sorry!
Can you compare Moment 58 with Apexel 2x telephoto lens?
I have an Apexel 2x telephoto, and its really soft, though, i do LOVE its ambient feel with soft image, almost film like, after all, its a portrait lens, which puts it in a league of low dof and focusing on the character.. I do like how it looks. Soft, yes, Hard to focus, yeah, at times, but deffinately has a certain feel to it.
Is it worth to buy and how's it in portrait mode
Awesome comparison
Thanks!
support wide lens ulanzi case??
Is Ulanzi compatible with Google pixel 7?
Hi David, I have 2 questions for you, if I can be so bold:
1/. I bought Sandmarc Tele & Wide lenses last year, ‘just’ before I discovered Ulanzi on your channel.
I’m now looking for ND filters, which Sandmarc want £68.64 for. Plus if you want to attach it to the case that you had to buy from them previously, the attachment at £11.43. Plus £15.25 (28 day postage). Plus a surprise bill from FadEx for 22% import tax £12.22 = £107.54… compared to Ulanzi, which I’m guessing will be just as good, arrive in a couple of days, and not cost me a small mortgage.
Therefore, my question is, will Ulanzi ND filters fit on my Sandmarc lenses?
2/. If the above answer is “Yes, you are in luck for once!”, do you have a link, so you can get a referral fee from the sale? It’s ND4, 8 & 16, I’m looking for.
Many thanks as always 🙏
I think the Ulanzi lens has been discontinued, its not on Amazon or their website, which is annoying because I really want one ;/
You can always try Sirui!
Awesome compared lenses 🙌🏼
Yeah, it's pretty awesome.
I have blur edge of Ulanzi65mm
interesting. I usually go with the "higher price means higher quality" thing. Moment delivers :) but in everyday use it is really not sooooo obvious. I still have a set of Apexel (or so) lenses and the telephoto does a relatively good job.
This video was much harder to make than I thought it was going to be! Thanks for watching and commenting, Armin!
@@David_Addison you covered everything one can possibly ask for, so it was very well done. My conclusion after your video would be that I get the moment one :) buuuut I just got the moondog labs anamorphic and a (hold tight) Profoto B10 flash (to use with my iPhone) hahahah
Wow I’d love to try the Profoto B10
@@David_Addison hehe yeah me too :) was not easy to get it. Ordered in Germany, then they could not ship it because of the battery in it.... had to find a land based courier to get it to malta.... now its on the way
Let me know how it is. I’d love to do flash photography with my iPhone
which tripod ur using for photography brother
All my gear is linked below 👍
"Levels levels" do I detect a Cortex fan/fellow Tim? (Great video btw)
I say "levels" to the tune of Levels by Nick Jonas 😂 ... Don't listen to Cortex but I was a fellow Tim until they stopped doing the podcast!
@@David_Addison I'm sad about Hello Internet going on hiatus. I hope it returns when the world re-opens one day. But on Cortex, Grey frequently annoys Myke by saying "levels levels" to check his audio instead of "check check" 😂
Hi David I have the Ulanzi wide lens attached on my Sony ZV1
I am looking to sell the ZV1 now to upgrade my camera and I want to sell the ZV1 without the wide lens fitted to a camera company.
As the Ulanzi wide lens is stick on, is it possible to remove the wide lens without damaging the camera?
Or will it damaged the lens or leave a mark on it from the sticker?
Thanks Charlie
Hi Charlie, I'm sorry I don't have any idea at all!
@@David_Addison Cheers David...
@@David_Addison No worries thanks mate.
Shayne sent me lol. First vid I’ve watch and it won’t be the last 👍🏻
Thanks Deavo! More coming very soon.
(btw I believe Ulanzi and Uskeyvision have the same "dropship" or "higher level brand" company)
Most likely!
wow
Great video. I have to say 17mins 36seconds you become your dad dor 2 seconds. "Heyyyy"
Thanks for watching, Eddie!
@@David_Addison very interesting video to be honest i might have to look for one for my galaxy s21 only the ulanzi though, my pockets aren't deep enough for the moments
the effect are not lenses fault, they are caused by the hdr stack processing
your color grading makes the shadows blue, even when your face is in the shadow.. 0:30-0:40 seconds..work on that..
Nobody is more aware of that than me lol. Over the new year I've taken some time to really delve into colour grading so I can really get the most from my SONY A7III and future videos won't have this issue.
@@David_Addison nice... and i hope you do some videos on manual long exposure camera apps for android...
I'm not an expert but I've arrived the same conclusion about anamorphic lenses. Check in my channel. I don't have any Moment lens but it is very common that spherical aberrations because they are using second grade quality lenses i.e. less pulished, worse lens materials, worse coatings, worse glues, etc....But I'll say a PROS about Ulanzi...it is cheap and ....there are a lot of phones with worse lenses so you are NOT going to notice difference with an expensive Moment. After all, it is a balance. Good phones, better a Moment....bad phones, better an Ulanzi.
Bro,don t show up like that from behind the tree.Chill
I drop in from anywhere bro 🥷
Too much talk
Using animal products is a total deal breaker for me. There is zero reason to use real leather on a non-essential item in 2021. No thanks Moment, Ulanzi for the W.
