Best kart channel, you deserve so much more, unfortunately people dont appreciate karting, especially not on social media. You could also try maybe short tik toks and tips about karting to maybe draw more people to the channel. You deserve so much more, i pray that you will grow, thanks for all the knowledge

Hi guys, I think your channel is one of the best around for Karting. You give really precise information about specific karts (tony karts mostly) and you explain very well. However, are there any chances that you will produce some sort of noob video guide (a bit like you did with camber/caster/toe) about other adjustments. Exemple: Wider track is better for xyz, if tire pressure to low/high it gives xyz or how to adjust the kart if it oversteers/understeers. You know ...the basic :P Thank you

how can I alignment the rear axle in a dd2 kart?I can alignment it in two ways (the height between the engine and the ball bearing) and the hole of the engine and the hole ball bearing.
Measure from the front king pins to the front of the axle on both sides of the kart. Also you can measure up from under the chassis rails to the bottom of the axle to get the ride height the same on both sides of the chassis.

Hi ya mate, loving your channel,, brilliant content,, Im using a standard axel neutral set up on my 18 tonykart running d5 tyres,, even with feathering my throttle out of fast corners, I'm still exiting out off corners sideways,, would a softer axel let me grip in and cut that down sliding down a bit? Obviously driving could be improved .. Thought id ask,, cheers
Hey Ryan, thanks for the positive feedback, it really means a lot. power on oversteer I take off seat stays, put on longer rear hubs, reduce positive camber in the front, probably in that order. Also too you could try dropping the rear tyre pressures, lift the rear axle or move your seat back 20mm. Hope that helps. Are you racing in the UK?

@@ryantumilty3621 yeah and a softer axle works too for us on Dunlop tyres here in QLD if your driver isn't too big. Any way, now your arsenal is full, head out the to the track when they re open and give it a go. Let me know what works. D
@@PowerRepublic yea I'm only 5:7 weighing 68kg,, I've lead strapped down the seat to the left side and the rear left side also to get me to the 165 category rotax,, running mojo d5s,, also have middle carrier out, i will try them few things you told me first of all, and if all else fails,, i'll invest into a softer axle,, thanks so much,, appreciate it mate.. Also if kept I the standard axel would wider rear hubs help me get more exiting grip?? Running standard rear hubs atm..
@@ryantumilty3621 yes it would on my kart and that is something you could try, if that is the correct problem you are having identified. Otherwise it will be totally wrong
When would you use a 1000mm axle vs the 1030?
I don't really use them. The only one I have used with any success was a short N axle 1000mm long on MG Red tyres (medium grip tyre). I know the KZ guys use them a bit. So I can't tell you from experience when to put one in.
Hey Derek, awesome vid again mate. 3 questions. What do you mean by coming on too fast or too slow when talking about the axles? Also, I’ve noticed so seats can have varying flexibility. Is this the same with OTK seats? Why would you use a soft seat compared to a hard seat? Cheers, Matt
Hi Matt, thanks for the positive vibes. Great questions. coming on fast (i.e too soft axle) is when your fastest lap is lap 3 and then every lap you get slower. Coming on too slow (i.e too hard axle) is when your fastest lap is lap 8 in an 8 lap race. Give it a try and let me know if it works on your kart and track. The OTK seats are all the same rigidity in that they are made out of the same materials. You can try softer and harder seat from other suppliers but I haven't noticed that much of a difference personally, so I run an OTK seat and focus more on my driving improvements over seat stiffness.

@@christianbuczko1481 if its just for fun leave the standard axle in it and send it. the standard axle will work just fine for most applications in most karts

What is the material of Hard Axle buddy?
Saurabh Sharma great questions. I would say it’s chrome moly tube but as too it’s material properties that’s a question for the guys at OTK.
Is it more important to mount the seat further back or more for what feels comfortable
Darrin Stuckwisch it’s a balance. Mount the seat where comfortable if you like. But you will have compensate with chassis changes to get your balance. Otherwise, Mount the seat close to the factory settings and adjust the pedals around to suit your body size.
I bought the kart second hand and I am not finding any information that is left on the arrow x1 seat setup
Darrin Stuckwisch I would set the seat parallel with the bottom of chassis rails and 645mm back from the front chassis rail. If you are above 6” tall or have big shoulders (over 80kg’s) I would tilt the seat back between 1-2sprockets under the front of your flat bottom seat.

It’s a bit of a mission. But the easiest way is to weld nuts onto the chassis uprights near the fuel tank. Then you can screw in some rose joints (tie rod ends) and run your shifter linkage in those. Hard job without a lot of specialists equipment. Easiest to buy a second hand shifter rolling chassis n
