The second wing looks good!
It does look a lot better. I think if I did it in panel sections, it would look even better.
Thanks for the glue info. I'm going to attempt foiling a 1/48 WW2 fighter as well.
Good luck. It's not too hard to do.
You should burnish the whole panel before cutting or detailing the foil. Also, start in the middle of the panel and work towards the edges. Good effort.
I'll get there eventually with the proper technique.

Great video but very hard to hear!
Yes, one of the bad things about going live sometimes. Thanks for watching.
What glue is used& who sells it?
Metal Leaf Adhesive. Its made by Beacon. I purchased it at Hobby Lobby.
I was suspicious when I saw the first wing. THEN he said "I don't follow these instructions", I realized why the first wing looked the way it did, and stopped watching. I wanted to learn how to do it right, NOT to learn how to half-ass it for half-assed results.
The reason the first wing looked not as good was because I followed the instructions. That glue is designed to foil letters that occupy small areas. It isn't designed to occupy model airplanes in large sheets. You can follow the instructions. You'll get the exact results of the first wing.
