The more words of Jacob’s I transcribe the more gems I need to capture.

Jacob is feeling extra mellow, mature, and steady in this conversation, not that he wasn't before but it seems like he's growing into himself a lot recently

My two favorite musical mentors and humans living in my world. I thank God distinctively for their active presence in our life. I consider it the biggest gift up until now 2022 that they are dialoging for us here.

I came here from Bandrew's (Podcastage) look at a pair of mics that Jacob Collier has used, and I stayed because Jacob speaks from a perspective that I'm really interested in, namely the willingness to step in and do it, and not force oneself to wait for X amount of external credentialing. I'm 80 and I've self-trained in many things - writing, editing, photography, video, audio - and I swear, every single time there are people who are firmly dedicated to making you sit down at the point on the staircase where they can look at you and say, "Now see! You haven't got what it takes to be X, Y, and Z who are at least 10 steps above you." Meanwhile, I've plowed ahead and found that by being completely honest in what I'm doing, and not begging anyone for external verification or validation, I've produced stuff that the critics ended up using in their own damn work - which was quite gratifying really. :) So thanks for being a very interesting person. I just watched Hitsville for the umpteenth time, and can't help but think that Berry and Smokey and friends were cutting tracks in a similar way.

Two geniuses! If possible I recommend making Jacob's replies louder as he's significantly softer than Evelyn..

The audio in the podcast itself is nicely balanced :-)

And I suggest you mind your own business and don't tell people how to speak? What is your problem?

Ah, how interesting….what a great conversation…loved the questions and answers, the listening and talking….for me there are so many takeaways from that~. Thank you both for sharing your wisdom so honestly with us 🙏

Yes, it's too much work to keep cranking up his part of the convo. They just need to remix it at the source, and it would be worth it.
