Hi there, super helpful video, thanks for that! I would like to ask if they require you to pay all these fees in advance or only once you have been "invited" to apply? Do you know if they are refundable in case you end up not getting the visa by any reason?
Hi Luiza thanks for commenting! Only if you are invited to apply do you have to pay the fees. Because I got the visa I don't know what happens if you dont, but I think if you wanted to withdraw your application within a certain period then you can get a refund. Hope this helps
do you think it would be a good idea if I get all the documents in advanced before starting the visa process? like preemptively go get the biometrics, the police report etc and just collect it all first before starting the whole process? I don't like all the timescales I need to stick to and would rather just have everything first haha
Hey, great video! I am applying for the working holiday as well, and am waiting for the invitation right now. I am a bit confused, because for the working holiday visa you do not need a job offer right? You say that you had to sent the job offer to a certain email, but from what I've understood, you only need a job offer for the young professionals pool right?
Hi Michiel, thank you for commenting and watching the video. When I went through the process the covid restrictions in Canada limited who could come in on the visa, they were only allowing people in on the iec visa if they had a job offer before entering the country. Hence why I had one before applying. But that's not the normal process, hope that clears things up?
@@BramskiVlogs Yes it is rather complicated, I'm a UK national who just became a candidate of the Working Holiday pool. Looks like it'll take a while to get an invitation to apply (for a permit), but looking forward to it nonetheless! Did you decide to get a PR after your stay in Canada?
Well I hope your application goes well! I've only been in Canada a few weeks but It's likely that I will apply for it. I will need to do some research into it, so there will be a video about it at some point.
Hey thanks for commenting on the video. So Im actually flying out today and haven't yet spent time in the country. Its a really important question though and I will have to do a video on it when I get settled in. Stay tuned!
Hey Bramski, did you just book online off your own back to book your biometrics? Or do you have to go through the Canadian website after being invited and book through there? Just trying to plan in advance. Cheers
Hey @camburz thanks for commenting, the second one. Once I had submitted all my documents I got an invitation to go get my biometrics done and I had to book an appointment online through that link.
Hey Marino thanks for commenting, I did look into doing it through a company first but a) there is a cost to that and b) I didn't know if it guaranteed a work permit. Personally I didn't find it too hard to do it myself, it looks a complicated process at first but as long as you follow the steps its straight forward to apply.

Hey jack have you checked the step by step guide on the CIC website? The job offer requirement was only during covid restrictions. You shouldn't require one to apply for the visa now.
@@gregfcht910 unfortunately I don't know what they use to determine if you need a medical or not. I applied during covid and submitted my vaccine info and that was good enough for them.
Yeah I was chatting to people while hiking today to learn more about how this would be possible. When I do decide about residency, I will certainly make a video about it.

Thanks for commenting Simran. Glad you found the video useful, It seemed such a complicated process when I started the application.

Hi! It would be so useful to know what health insurance company you're going with?
Thanks for commenting Gala, I went with Big Cat insurance in the end.
Hey love the video. I have a question!
How much money in CAD would you recommend each month if you haven’t found work? Thanks
Or UK pounds lol since I’m from there 😂

with that visa you can be a permanent resident in the future
