I’m Vicki, a 74 yr old widow. I live in southwest Texas on our family ranch in a 200 yr old rock house. I’m in the middle of remodeling my kitchen and utility room to make it easier accessible for me as I age. I have been a crafter my whole life and also enjoy working in my yard and this yr I’ve been putting artificial flowers in my pots since my health is causing me to slow down my gardening.💕🏊🏻♀️

Thanks Dana. Remodeling has slowed for at least 2 weeks because I fell and no one was around to help me for 2 hrs cuz I couldn’t get up. To keep from being bored I sang every nursery rhyme, Christmas song and hymn I cld remember. Then I sang “100 bottles of beer on the wall” twice with my fur baby guarding me. 😁🐶Am ready for renovations to start up but am moving a little slow. I have been looking at thrifting on UA-cam and am anxious to hit the stores. I do love sprucing up my home.🤗
I'm in Southeast Texas! I'm only 42, but have a completely collapsed spine which has brought me to my knees... Crafting saved me when I found my fave UA-camr on tik tok last year and I've been crafting ever since! It's definitely something that keeps your mind off of your health issues. That's a great idea to add faux plants so you can still have the beauty without the work! Where in Texas are you? I'm just north of Houston...

@@PaigeNicoleKomar you are so right. I also have significant spinal issues causing limited mobility. I’m trying to find ways to work around that. I can’t have surgery because I also have Kate stage neurological Lyme Disease. But, working on projects, even if only for short periods of time, is my escape as well! Take care

3 weeks has gone by and I am just finding you, so happy to be here. My favorite summertime plant is the Azalea. The variety of colors, the haughtiness and pose of the bush, the soft fragrance that begs you to stop look at me, sniff, enjoy. My Favorite of DIYs in this video of 50 is EVERYTHING! Hello Olivia, I'm another older woman in my 60's and I love your creative use of the $tree items. As much as I'd like to do my usual planting this summer, I've been having some health issues so using your ideas like the wreath with succulents and the candle holders and fish bowl style glasses to also put succulents it's a way to make me feel as if I'm still gardening. Thank you 4 sharing your great ideas it certainly is so much appreciated. My favorite summer flower is the hydrangeas. They remind me of snowballs.

My favorite summertime plant would be so hard to choose because I enjoy nature in general. I enjoy bringing the outdoors in. I like Lavender, flowers, wild flowers, so much I could not possibly choose just one I do like the fragrance of lavender. I just see it growing in and being able to use it in so many different ways and sachets, soaps, etc..
I enjoyed seeing Mr. “Romantic” and Benji Bear outside playing. He sure loves those little sticks.

Daffodils and Zinnias, they remind me of my mom. Every year she's made sure those 2 flowers were in her flower garden. She also had Roma Tomato and jalapeños. She had them every year so my daughter could have her favorite veggies even if she just dropped in for a visit.
I'm still watching this video and can't help but keep commenting. I absolutely love the patriotic wreath and I'm definitely making this one. My 1st born son was born on 4th of July and he passed in 2000 and I'd like to put this on his grave site where actually both my sons are buried together. I love love love this idea! It does scream Alice in Wonderland for sure. The birds on text pages made me think to do a tunnel inside a junk journal as a surprise. Whoever commented about the lack of representation of other insects must have been joking, if it was serious please continue just doing you! Can you imagine if people complained that Van Gogh did too many sunflowers!

I love what you've created using the outdoor plastic table cloths. I am so going to make a garland with that. I'm divorced now and financially can't take a vacation. However during my marriage my husband and I and my 3 children loved vacationing in Puerto Rico which is where he was from. Most beautiful Islsnd to visit.
Your cat and my rescued cat are the same. Same size, thick looking coat of hair and same gorgeous green eyes. I found her as a kitten. She had to be vetted for days. The vet said a male cat had fought her. She was to tiny for any male cat! I guess nature is nature... I love seeing crafts and animals in same video, this one was Great! 🐾🐾 🔨 ✂🖌 🐾🐾
Olivia, I have followed your channel for so many years and still each time I see a new video appear I get so excited knowing I will get the best DIY designs to make my home beautiful. I love so many of the projects today so hard to decide which is my favorite. I believe it is the laundry basket, it is absolutely breathtaking. I will be making the succulent wreath for a friend that is very ill. My favorite summer flower is cosmos. I ordered some faux cosmos online while I wait to plant my seeds into the ground when weather allows. This weather is so crazy cold in 20s one day and 70s the next day. Our favorite vacation place is Pigeon Forge Tennessee we go with our children and grandchildren. We have so much fun but haven't been for five years was called home while there as my brother had passed suddenly with a heart attack. God Bless love your channel.

Hi Vicki I really appreciate you making these videos I really enjoy watching them you are very intelligent and creative talented I absolutely adore the things that you make thank you so currently my favorite summertime plant is I like to goldenrod and snapdragons because they produce nectar for adult butterflies to eat and when he’s later on in the summer I like the milk weed zinnias and miss Mollys butterfly bush because they attract monarch butterflies in the fall like golden rod and set them bring butterflies well after summer ends it’s like a butterfly garden and it’s beautiful

I’m going to making the candleholder succulent vases! I’m in love with them! My favorite Summertime flower is the humble Queen Anne’s lace (wildflower/Wild carrot) they have such an underrated elegance that I just love. I’m going to make the lemon wreath and the flag pillows.
