Any idea what camera this was filmed on?
I'm very inclined to love Chloe because of the roles she's played really beautifully in her feature length films, but I have to admit that she seems to never have anything to say, including in this "film that beautifully captures the spirit of the time".
It often seems like the no wave art scene, her scene and era, followed in the steps of real thinkers who had issues with traditionalism and who advocated sexual freedom and tattoo-freedom etc., but that over a very short period degenerated into something belonging to anti-thinkers. Thoughtlessness may even be the point to some degree of No Wave but look what it's bred. When I watch interviews of Chloe now (on UA-cam: "Chloe Sevigny is Glad She Grew Up In "Cooler" Pre-Internet Times"), she brings up horrifically unintelligent social opinions. So she thinks a lot about what to wear and how boring life is. Well, when you have the first, of course you'll have the second.
i actually agree...I thought she was relatable till she was thinking "what should I wear' lol behind the cool aesthetic is nothing short of boring.
Sounds to me y’all are awfully jealous having never been gen X icons possessing a powerful, measured, yet breathlessly dreamy Scorpio mystique as was her enviable vibe. If she was literally mute she’d still be a goddess.
