    Love a good ol' community festival! Being next to that amazing shoreline is a huge plus.

      I totally just happened upon it by chance. The only bummer is that they touted both hard and soft drinks available, but as you can see I had to search out some beer outside of the festival. All good cause I found a new place and got to hang out by the water.

    Read a book about Snowshoe Thompson when I was a kid
    Back in the 70's,drove by the Ponderosa Ranch theme park, didn't stop, we drove over Mt. Rose.

    Great historical content here, Nicole! I had no idea this museum was there but will have to check it out. I still watch Bonanza, it’s on one of our local cable channels here in Reno. Great tribute to Snowshoe Thompson, too. Have you been to his old cabin site and cave?

      Sorry didn’t see this comment till now. I LOVE watching Bonanza. No I have not been to Snowshoe Thompson’s cabin site, but that sounds really interesting. He’s a skier and I love skiing history!
