You should be scared. This medication is really just poison. My last dose was Oct 15th, 2015. I will never forget that date and that should tell you something.
Duane, do yourself a huge favor and don't take that med. It ruined a few years of my life and while in it had 2 suicide attempts all because of that med. I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread AT FIRST. Then, the sickness crept up on me. Long story short, ended up in hospital and psyc ward having to then go on anti anxiety meds (which are 1000x worse) because of the effects from TRYING to stop the poison. My last dose was Oct 25th, 2015. Yes, I remember the exact date, especially something so traumatic. There are safer drugs out there. Piece of advice, don't take it, find something else and never ever ever out a benzodiazepine med (Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan, Valium). You will regret it for the rest of your life, I promise you. Just watch a few UA-cam videos of people TRYING to get off these meds. It will scare you enough to start trying to stop. Good luck!!

@@J0elPeters You will have it too when you stop, I would advise stopping gradually. I don't know, maybe I'll try ritalin, I have a feeling my depression stems from undiagnosed ADHD.
I'm not the same person anymore. I was put on cymbalta because I almost lost my leg in a work accident, and after getting off of oxys (which was no problem, I weaned off those with ease) the rehab doctor put me on cymbalta for muscle spasms. I knew nothing about this drug. Unbeknownst to me, the pharmacy only had enough pills on hand for two weeks, so that's what I got from the pharmacy. I had assumed the doctor only wanted me to have that many pills, so I took what I had, and quit. The withdrawals were awful. Brain zaps, moody, depressed, suicidal, tired, difficulties focusing to the point where I could hardly speak without slurring my speech. I got back on the drug about 5 days later and continued to take it for three years. I was just never the same for that entire time and still experienced brains zaps and a lot of the other side effects. I had tried weaning off twice in those three years, and it was almost impossible. The doctors wean you off the drug WAY too fast. It took me a full year to wean off cymbalta. I had to break open the capsules and count the beads inside. You literally had to wean yourself off of this drug by the bead. You can't tell your doctor you're doing this because they'll just wean you down to 10mg and call it good, and trust me, it's not good. Still to this day I get brain zaps and have trouble motivating myself and I have been off cymbalta for almost 2 years. I was a pretty happy and outgoing person before getting on the drug, and now I'm extremely depressed and I feel no self worth. Basically, once you start this drug... you're a slave to this drug. Best of luck to you. Do your best to never run out of this medication or you will be in a world of hell.
I'm in a support group full of people who took/take this drug for depression and they all share a very similar story as mine. That group is how I learned how to wean off this drug. You actually have to break the pills open and count the beads in some cases because 10mg pills are not small enough to quit taking cold turkey. I'm just saying... be careful with this shit. It's bad stuff, and I'm not alone in saying that.

had bad experiences with fluoxetine and sertraline
hknuddv hey! How did you get on with cymbalta?
Hey have you tried transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tdcs) it really seems to work.
Thank you. Tomorrow marks one week on Cymbalta. Lexapro stoped working. Hope I getting to feeling it in the next few weeks or sooner.
You got this!
you're awesome. thank you
Great that help you,it's help me 7 years hier in Germany, but I will talk with doctor to stop..if I can I would do, but is terrible to stop it..
Just got mine the other day hope it helps like how it did for you! Great review!
Thanks, it made me like a zombie, so I've been off of it for 2 and half years. If it works for you, keep going.
i read somewhere that cymbalta increases estrogen levels, should i be worried as a 22 y/o male ?
Take DIM supplement
Wow that’s really interesting to know. Since taking it my sexuality has changed. Wonder if that’s why…
Very good video my friend. I'm thinking about taking this med because I take trintelix and buspirone . Want to keep the buspirone and drop trintelix for this. Trintelix is great but I have body pain to the bone due to depression and hormones. Blessings 💕
Btw you seem lovely, and I’m happy this is working for you. Thanks for this video.
Thanks, I haven't been on it in a long while.
Joel-Peter If you don’t mind me asking - are you on a new med or did you stop taking medication all together? And why did you stop taking Cymbalta?
@@J0elPeters I would like to know too
How long did you take this drug?
Thank you for sharing! How are you so many years later? Do you still take this med?
No. I switched to Vyvanse for ADHD; video coming in about a half month once I've been on it for 30 days
man your brave and good
I tried all different medication do you any sexual side effects from this medication
None here just fatigue, brain fog, digestive issues, and the general neutral feeling. More then enough for me I'm quitting it. I have half the energy I used to. That's the worst part. And withdrawal is hell.
I'm on day 2 and already gonna stop talking it so strong
You are beautiful and thank You so much for the video :)
Thank you too!
You keep taking it. You get the problem. It’s only been two months for you.
I definitely support you bro !!!!!!
Hi! Thank you for sharing your positive experience. What dose of this medication helped you? Hope you read my message.
I'm not on it anymore
@@J0elPeters I’m currently taking it but at 60mg it made my anxiety really bad. So I am slowly moving up from 30mg to now 40mg. Do you still recommend it?

Do you have to take it at exactly the same time and is it bad if you don’t? (Not missing doses, just not taking it at the EXACT same time. I’ve never been good at this)
seems like medication dint work for me I get more depressed
Sorry to hear that. Talk to your doctor.
does this medicine make you gain weight?
saul parraga no it doesn’t
john smith mine has made me lose weight so don’t know what you are talking about
Made me loose weight too.
for me personally i lost so much weight. i had to create a meal plan everyday because this medication would make me forget to eat and i lost my appetite. however its a good medication overall for me personally.
kate hi Kate, yes ive lost appetite as well. I need to lose a lot more weight, so I'll stay on this medication.
thank you. about to start.
How's it going?
Related to the “dead inside” part :/
It's a generational issue as well
I saw so many horror story videos and I just started on it. I am pretty scared now. I sure hope it works for me.
You should be scared. This medication is really just poison. My last dose was Oct 15th, 2015. I will never forget that date and that should tell you something.
Took it 2 days, and said "Fuck this shit!" Not taking anything, and doing pretty damn good. Reading books about CBT. The shit works.
Thank you!
Did you lose any weight?
Jared Kenwood I’m on it and I was 160 when I started 5 months ago and now I’m 140
My dr prescribed it to me for pain. I have anxiety a couple times a day but no depression.
Good luck!!
What doesn't work for somebody else doesn't mean it won't work for you try it yourself and good luck it's helped me tremendously.
Do u have a personal email? I don’t want to express here (2nd review)

No. I rarely gain weight.
@@J0elPeters Wow lucky. I gained 15lbs and couldn't get an erection even on cialis. Had to come off

This was an awful medication for me. Getting off felt like electric shocks in my brain. I thought I was having a stoke. Wouldn’t recommend it. Didn’t see ant benefit .
You need to research then come back and talk about it.
Hes talking about his experience not for everybody..
He already stated hes not a scientist
Someone else tell me the truth about this medicine
Everybody's brain is different. That's why you have to try it for yourself. Keep a medicine journal. And look them up to know what side effects to expect.

Bad: PMS, thought of suicide

I’m currently taking Ritalin but the cymbalta withdraws are killing me, 1 month without it, stil a hell

This poison ruined my life.
How?
Weaning off of pain killers was an absolute breeze compared to Cymbalta. Why is that not talked about?
bangarang74 This can do a bad reputation - giving this med to mental health people. It's obvious that it'll be different than for a depressed one.
♥️
I took it for 2 days, and I stopped after watching videos... No I'll live with my illness lol
2 and half years without. I'm doing ok.
It worked for me i feel great
