I just hit the 2 month mark on 100mg and posted an update video about it on my channel. Thanks for this video, it helped me. I feel like the medication is really good for me, especially once I quit drinking alochol
I'm on day 3 and I have jitters shakes the odd bit of nausia and waking up in the night (i have sleeping issues aswell) sleepy and irritable .... with a verry odd dissociated irratating anxious fealing that comes and goes every few hours
I've been 4 days on sertraline and I've experienced muscle twitching/tic like, shakiness throughout my body, and blurry eyes, I'm unable to sleep in now, not like I used to and muscle aches.
Sorry that your having side effects like this, mine were very crazy for at least 6 weeks or so (but especially the first month) of course I’m no doctor but if side effects continue or get worse make sure to talk to your doctor! Hope things get better for you x

I had the same experience as yours . After taking my second 50 mg pill I woke up in the morning at 3:30 and I felt like that would be the last moments of my life . Muscle twitches, shakiness , Blurry visions , feeling of loosing consciousness, not feeling my members and extreme panic attack . That’s probably worst feeling I’ve ever had in my life , I would never try anything like that again with any price , I would die rather than taking sertraline.
I started on 50mg and I take it before I go to bed. My side effects included dizziness, sickness, headaches, I felt really off too which was odd and strange dreams, dry mouth and insomnia for the first few nights, I fainted 2 times and I’m not sure why but I feel a lot better now. I’d recommend not drinking alcohol on them because that really messed me up. I was very sleepy the first few days. I’ve been on it about 2 months now and I feel a lot better on it. My family, friends and coworkers definitely have seen a difference since I started taking it !
I take mine at night cause the major side effect is drowsiness I have t kids so cant do be tired. I take them at 8pm I'm. Out by 930 and I wake up feeling great and happy. I'm. Able to be much normal self again. 25mg work great and I dont plan on increasing but beating this depression.
This is my 5th day on sertraline and I'm taking it for anxiety and panic attacks and like obsessive thoughts. They've only made it worse and it's hardly bearable, but everyone keeps telling me it'll get better. The main side effects I'm feeling is that I'm tired all the time, but at the same time restless. I just can't stop moving. (I also have autism and probably ADHD so maybe that's what's making this happen). Sertraline is also giving me suicidal thoughts, but I know I just have to get through these first rough weeks and then it'll get better. I can clearly feel things getting worse every day, but I really hope everything will start getting better at the same rate soon.

Just been into the doctors and asked to come off sertraline. I was on 150 mg for about 2 years. I've had nothing but trouble. Constant migraines. Stomach problems. Weight gain. Tired. Bad skin. Aches and pains. Waking up feeling like I'd been hit by a bus. And no help with my mood

Yeah I've felt like I needed to shift my torso into the exact milimetre position it should be in whilst trying to sleep, so sleeping has been quite annoying. My headaches increased from the norm. I never felt sick or fatigued. I did also feel like I always needed to go for a wee haha. I've also had vivid strange dreams, not nightmares but weird ones. 50mg has been my dose, I'm going to have it increased to 100mg tomorrow. I've also noticed taking like 5 seconds to think of a response and taking ages to talk because I'd be entranced with other thoughts. Honestly, I've had some moments of feeling amazing. Literally feeling expressions and engagements with my surroundings that I haven't felt since like 10 years ago. I'd feel like the day had a range of opportunities rather than a range of burdens which would determine either immense failure or just substandard mediocrity as the "reward". I felt like the simple tasks were easy pickups of dopamine, and I could pursue harder tasks like jogging or working on things or reading rather easily because I WANTED to do them. I felt alive in other words. Certain parts of the day had their own feeling to them and i appreciated differences between the things I witnessed, rather than just being flooded with grey, meaningless information. I started at 25mg, did that for one week, then 50 mg for a week, I am now taking 75mg this week. Next will be 100mg. My dr wanted me to take 50 mg for a week then jump to 100mg I did some research about sertraline, slowing increasing the dosage has worked great for me so far. Hardly any side effects at all.I can tell my severe anxiety is getting better. So just go slow, let your body adjust to the medication.
Thank for your story I have just taken my first pill, I have been on them before so hope this time is successful for me :) I have forgotten all my past side effects but headaches were one but also related to hydrocephalus

Hi please don't be put off by some of these stories you will unfortunately go backwards before you go forward but prepare yourself for that and it's absolutely worth the crappy first week or so sertraline has been a complete life saver and changer for me best thing I've ever done. Don't try and battle your anxiety and depression on your own ... Trust me sertraline is amazing.

Wow, seems like you had loadssss of side effects. I've been on 50mg and been taking them for 3 days. My mood feels much more stable and the only side effect I've had is loss of appetite. I'm wondering if this is just a placebo effect though.... We'll see! :) x

Antidepressants work by directly feeding the neurotransmitters in your brain serotonin. If you look at a diagram of the placement of the pleasure centers in our brain you will see simply living life makes use humans happy. We are the captain of our ship. Overtime antidepressants will make difficult to do things you once enjoyed this is because you brain is being feed serotonin directly. You'll stop taking care of yourself like you once did and you'll find it difficult to express or control your own emotions. People typically described the antidepressants as dimming the light in there brain. Pharmaceuticals companies and psychiatrist or dependent on each other. Over time this has lead to the cover up of what these drugs really do. If you wish to learn more you should learn about Nick Drake, Thomas Szazs and Brody Stevens.
The 100mg of sertraline affected my hernia and at times gave me a awful bad taste in my mouth and a dry mouth one minute and too much saliva the next. Because i have been suffering from sensorimotor ocd i thought i was causing this myself and it made my anxiety worse. I am now on 50mg and things are a bit better but not away. I was told that the bad taste in my mouth was in my imagination which is just not true. The Nhs website tells you contact your GP. This is very difficult these days as each time you only get a different doctor and have to spend ages on the phone to even get that. sorry this is so long.

I also read that it's common on sertraline people feel good then bad again sudden till they find right dose.

Everyone responds to antidepressants differently. Sertraline didn’t make me happy but once my body got used to taking it, it made me feel more relaxed.
I’m on sertraline and it’s my 3rd day on them. Heavy headaches, dizzy, not as alert as I would like to be and get very tired, felt sick just the once but that was day 1 but no knightmares as of yet I’m gonna persevere though

Yeah V I have been taking this for 6 days now and started on 50 mg also for Suicidal Tendencies and Major Depression. Now I was told to take it once a day but I take it in the morning to avoid restlessness at night. Cause I started taking it at night and I couldnt sleep and I was really horny by the setraline. I do get dizzy but it has subsided after 4 days for me and comes back here and there. I have brain zaps here and there with thoughts or what Im speaking about. I feel my mood drift back and forth and its really weird. I’ll feel my heart every once in awhile start pounding quickly but thats a me thing cause I have an offset and extra heartbeat. I still fe fatigue here and there. I feel very calm and have better control of movements and my sight is more on point. (cause I play videogames). Im rarely seeing positve perspectives. Also I have decreased appetite and I KNOW its this drug. Now Im going to comeback to this comment in two weeks after I see the psychiatrist again and let you know more I guess. I hope ypu’re doing alright. Stay hydrated and push yourself to eat normally

I’m taking it for anxiety and I think it’s working because I haven’t had a breakdown in a while now and I don’t feel super stressed with school as I was a couple weeks ago. And I feel loss of appetite too! Went the whole day with just eating cereal for breakfast and still didn’t feel hungry lol. Let me know how it goes for you! Still need to schedule an appointment with a psychiatrist

I had panikattacks and I took the first 2 weeks 25mg because i really hat strong side effects, 3rd week 50 mg, 4th week 75 mg and from week 5 and maybe 2 times i got a very light panicattack, i now feel amazing my healt was so good. Im really happy that i startet this medication was the best choice i made. For those who ar starting with setraline hold on it is all worth it😊
Thank you for sharing!! I am on day 10 and have been miserable with the same symptoms that you described that you had. Feeling out of it is the worst part for me by far!
How do you feel now, if you don’t mind my asking? I’m on the fence on starting. Thanks.
I started at 25mg, did that for one week, then 50 mg for a week, I am now taking 75mg this week. Next will be 100mg. My dr wanted me to take 50 mg for a week then jump to 100mg
I did some research about sertraline, slowing increasing the dosage has worked great for me so far. Hardly any side effects at all.I can tell my severe anxiety is getting better. So just go slow, let your body adjust to the medication.
Thank for your story
I have just taken my first pill, I have been on them before so hope this time is successful for me :)
I have forgotten all my past side effects but headaches were one but also related to hydrocephalus
Julie Jean fingers crossed it goes okay for you! X
well this is my 3rd day on 50mg of sertraline and yes i am feeling so what strange its hard to say what exactly what i am feeling right now ..
Lols i feel the same way it feel like stuff is moving to me sometimes and you just feel out of your body weird feeling 🙃
Did it help?
Has the sertraline worked for you? I’ve been on 50mg for 4 weeks now and am noticing some improvement but continue to have anxiety issues.
Zoloft was the most commonly prescribed antidepressant in the USA in 2018 with over 38 million prescriptions.
I been on sertraline 25mg for 1month now..then my doctor told me to increase it on 50mg im scared to take it because of the side effect i been through when i started taking it!this video help me a lot to continue what my doctor told me..hope i will get better soonest ❤
I’m glad this video helped you, take care and wishing you the best! ☺️
You have a lovely accent 😊
I started taking them yesterday I'm on 50mg and I feel so sick and I've been sick twice I'm shaky tired and keep going from feeling like cant live anymore to the next minute I'm laughing and giggling I just hope after two weeks that it all starts working proper and your video was great xxxx
Hi did this start working for you?
How's everything going?
Guys what's the point of taking this pills if they actually make you feel even worse... oh... I'm battling depression since 2005 I've never been on any pill I don't know what to do...😑😥
To all struggling, I wish you recovery 🤗
Hi please don't be put off by some of these stories you will unfortunately go backwards before you go forward but prepare yourself for that and it's absolutely worth the crappy first week or so sertraline has been a complete life saver and changer for me best thing I've ever done. Don't try and battle your anxiety and depression on your own ... Trust me sertraline is amazing.
@@fcukwork I didn’t even have a crappy first week! I felt better almost instantly!
I am on 100mg of sertraline and when I get a panic attack I have to go out for fresh air in the night time I have lost weight with them I have gone from
From a size18 to 16
I’ve been on 50mg for a week and have had no side effects- reading comments of other people’s side effects has made me worried
Hi how are you feeling now?
I don't have any side effect

I drink one day and feel real anxious..then I know is not good to drink or smok
I’m on day 4 of 50mg and I haven’t gotten any side effects either ! Except loss of appetite but that’s it. I feel perfectly fine. Haven’t had a breakdown from school lol. My anxiety has gone down I feel like
I've had no issues with sertreline, aka: Zoloft... But I also take A LOT of meds
Excellent info, we'll explained, thank you x 🐬🌿
I realise that eveyone is different but i just cant take the risk of anymore weird shit happening to me. I wont be taking them even though its either that or lose my mind.
I Took 1 and Got Blinding Head, and stomach ache,,, I Don't think it's for Me, any one else had similar ?
Wow, seems like you had loadssss of side effects. I've been on 50mg and been taking them for 3 days. My mood feels much more stable and the only side effect I've had is loss of appetite. I'm wondering if this is just a placebo effect though.... We'll see! :) x
Claire Summers fingers crossed it helps you! X
@@danielle333 thank you, I'm glad it's working for you too x

Can barely hear you in the video. Need to adjust your volume.
Anybody that doesn’t have benefit from ssris alone think about adding lamictal it does wonders
I've been on mine for a week now. Things come and go. Ill get tired then get energy. I will be feeling happy then have weird thoughts. I do have trouble falling asleep because I freak myself out. I have an panic attacks that makes my body numb and I freak out. I almost faiting one day because my anxiety was so bad. But I do see somewhat of a difference as the days go on I just hate not being able to sleep much. I like my sleep 😴
Hi Did it work for you ? Did you had more side effects ?
@@reynagonzalez8983 yes i decided to get off of it
Antidepressants work by directly feeding the neurotransmitters in your brain serotonin.
Sometimes my heart beats faster on this medicine
Tree seer same here I had to stop using it
Tree seer it’s not for you if it make your heart do that .
Tree seer Mine does too
I take 150mg and get propranolo
That's one of worst side effects I'm always afraid of that happening.
I have had no side affects
Same 🤷♂️
The 100mg of sertraline affected my hernia and at times gave me a awful bad taste in my mouth and a dry mouth one minute and too much saliva the next.
How are you now hope all is well that type of ocd can be torture
Anyone had insomnia side effect? Not straight away more after like 2 weeks of upping there dose?
hifi 88 I struggled to sleep anyways, but when I increased my dose I did get all my side effects back but they did settle down. I’m hoping that things settle down for you x
@@danielle333 Thanks Danielle. It was like I went on a higher dose from 50mg to 75mg then after about a week or 2 on 75mg I suddenly felt great and things didn't bother me for 2 weeks. I then suddenly felt crap again with bad anxiety. Now first day on 100mg as doctor said try that to see if I can get benefits again so seeing how it goes. I also read that it's common on sertraline people feel good then bad again sudden till they find right dose.
No. I sleep better as I feel calmer, thoughts not going through my head anymore so sleeping so much better on sertraline!
I want Zoloft! I want xannex too after 30 years of anxiety, but I may stick with cbd- cbg
Did you come back from Trickle or treating ?
Has anyone experienced memory and vision problems after taking this?
No
I just took my first Zoloft (half a pill for the first 4 days as prescribed by my doctor) and I’m terrified that I’m going to gain weight
Halleloolahoop I’ve gained 50 pounds in a year because of my medication I’m a very active person and I eat healthy it’s not a myth I wish it was but on Zoloft I’ve completely lost my appetite

Are you still on Zoloft??
Are you still on it? Hows your feeling? And what about anxiety and panic attacks?
fatehul joy hi! I am still on it but my dose has increased since making this video. I’m currently on 200mg a day and I do feel like taking them has helped me. However I recently started therapy as well as taking the tablets to help myself even more. I have not had a full blown panic attack since taking the higher dose of sertraline :)
@@danielle333 50 to 200 mgs? man made chemicals are not the answer
if side effets are so huge ...whats the efficacy?how can it make someone happy
Everyone responds to antidepressants differently. Sertraline didn’t make me happy but once my body got used to taking it, it made me feel more relaxed.
I feel nauseous, slight headaches and feel very tired 💤- day 5.
I’m on sertraline and it’s my 3rd day on them. Heavy headaches, dizzy, not as alert as I would like to be and get very tired, felt sick just the once but that was day 1 but no knightmares as of yet I’m gonna persevere though
Lewis Peterson how’s it going now?
Am I supposed to take it at the same time everyday?
I’ve been on it for a week now and I’m not feeling any side effects. Besides loss of appetite. Idk if this is a good thing or I’m doing something wrong. I’m on 50mg
Someone help 😭
VermaVirus thanks so much for your input!
@@VermaVirus so how did things go for u with the Zoloft?
Did you get weight gain? I did after two years! Still on sertraline unfortunately 😫😫
Wean yourself off of it as slow as possible...leave it completely...I don't know you or whom you are, but I love you more than anything to see you suffer from taking that shit..it ain't worth it.
I been on these a month and my hair is falling out, really gutting 🥺
I have physical health problems aswell as depression I'm unsure to up my dose to 100mg as I been feeling really down lately they don't feel like there working I been on them since end of last year and I'm taking them right I'm just unsure because side effects I get stomach problems as it is because I have hernia I don't want to feel even worse by having bad side effects I'm currently on 50mg of sertalaline
Anyone feel bloated?
You are describing so many negative side effects from the medication, I don’t think you should be taking it at all...
Probably think about talking to your doctor to tapering off of it...
Justin Vokes she is only talking about her first month :) usually the side effects wear off but if they dont, ur right definitely speak to ur doctor!!
How long you used sertraline for depression
Zahid Hameed I’ve been using it since June, so around 7 months at this point :)
I have same depression issue could communicate through phone or skype
Um... so any positive side effects? Today is my last night at a 60 day treatment facility at a VA and my doctor is starting me on this tomorrow. Overall is it worth it?
Daniel Guthrie hi thanks for the comment, although it is different for everyone personally when I first started taking sertraline I felt like it was working to some extent however as time went on I started to get weird sensations in my hands, arms, legs and feet everyday. Since I’ve been on it for almost a year now, my doctor has recommended that I try other medications. It didn’t do a great deal for me but I hope it works out for you though as it may be worth it. take care! :)
From what you say it doesnt sound like its helping you
thankyou for this, i did wounder why recently it was taking me a little longer to process what was said. i also too got the famous stomach pain and i also get insomnia at the momment, to be fair tho i have only had it for 3 days.
