    Thank you my friend absolutely right. what you said is 100% correct and true. I love to build one like yours buttttttttttttttt the cost always hit me though I bought parts since last year and so far cost me 8000$ USD. still wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyys to go. sometimes I wish did not started it. LOL. but that is what I really love specially I am license CPL/IR rated pilot.

    Very good video mate. You nailed it with all your points and the adventures of the hobby. I've been building a long time and I think the fun part is building parts then doing a test flight to see how it works. Sometimes it can get frustrating, but the pleasure and feeling of accomplishment overrules the downsides. Cheers!

    Really great video! I came across this channel a couple months ago and you have inspiried me to make my own cockpit. One thing I would like to say is that there is generally a way to get around the bad stuff. For example: buying prebuilt panels is stupid expensive compared to making one (im 3d printing all mine).

      @@Quackkr Agreed. The 3D printer still an investment though in itself. I have a number of 3D printed parts. Still overall will add up though !!

    Why do this? Because you can. What other reason do we need? I'm in a worse place in some ways because I want the fully-enclosed shell etc but I don't want to just fly one aircraft type. What I have works well but it isn't type-accurate to anything. I have sketchy plans for an 'ultimate modular simpit' that'll let me get closer, but it's always a compromise. Honestly, I just love building stuff; more, if I'm being honest, than the flying itself. The learning bit is a huge part of the attraction for me. Love your sim and your channel, keep on keeping on!

    As appealing as physicality is, I've opted for the VR route simply because (a) I don't have a lot of room and (b) I like to fly different aircraft. That said, one of the users who flies the open-source BD-5J I made for X-Plane created a simulator using a BD-5 shell. I was happy to add an option to the plugin to make certain parts of the aircraft invisible which detracted from his immersion. So yeah, the community can help folks building physical simulators!

      @@quantumac Yes certainly VR is another level and I reckon once mixed reality matures will be a game changer for best of both worlds...

    Great video, sums it all up.
    I've spent way too much on sim life i think; I have a 6-screen setup that I no longer use since trying VR, I have added a DOF reality H6 motion rig and a butt-kicker to get more realism. The trouble with VR is the loss of all buttons and controls - the tactile part of sim life, but the gain is far more for me.
    I did look at building a full cockpit but as you say, once on that path, you are fixed to one plane and I could not take that limitation - I like to flip between smaller GA planes and now Helicopters too which are a total blast in VR on a motion rig :)
    What really matters is that we enjoy doing what we do I think, happy flying :)

    Nice video and thanks for the insights. As you have a two seat simpit and your front monitor is centered, do you have the issue with the POV where it looks like you are crabbing?

    • @CessSim
      @CessSim  2 дні тому

      Depends on what sim I am using. XP no issues and FS 2020 home cockpit mode seems OK and centres the cowling / panel and adjusts cam view to compensate.

    For about how long you use flight simulator . Are you going to fly with 2024 or just X-Plane 12 ? Thanks

    • @CessSim
      @CessSim  2 дні тому +2

      I will be using both. It depends. If FS2024 isnt setup for mult monitors, then will be using XP12 a bit more plus FS2020. I personally like the sim with side monitor views. Thanks for watching.
