Stock 780Kv to Hobbywing 800Kv G2, Losi DBXLE

Back at the same location as the last video, except you can see this time! Switched out the stock motor for the 800kv G2 56118 Hobbywing. Same 17/50 gearing and wheels, so I guess 20Kv is worth 1mph @8s in fifth scale land, who knew!
Looking forward to gearing 'n' volting up!

What kind of pinon and center diff gear size are you using. I’m still new to all this and I order the same combo for my infraction 1/7 scale. I know realize lower kv slower rotations but more power. On my 12s battery set up should I be running like 30-40 tooth pinon and 15-20 on my spur? Would I still get the same bashing strength if it’s reversed as a high kv small pinon gear without the excessive heat or will it just make it slow acceleration but high speed runs? I see at the end you plan on using a 44tooth

This vid has the stock 50 tooth spur installed. Best bet would be to buy a temp gun and just work your way up. You can overwork and overheat the big motors by gearing down too much too. The gearing loads on road will be quite different but in a 12s infraction 1:1 gearing shouldn't cause too much issues in short bursts. Good luck with your build!
