To my Malaysian brothers and sisters, I'm sorry if this video was biased or the other way around. I myself don't know who created this but I hope that it was a fair comparison. Love from Indonesia
If I am being objective. Indonesia have much more great singers in terms of amount. Especially over the past 15 years, the quality of the new generation singers here are full of crap. Its ridiculous. But, at the same time. The video is kinda bias. Choosing singers that I dont even know exist, choosing clips where there is no belting parts (While the next singers from Indo give superb belting parts). Some of the singers from this clips are pretty good, but whoever made this video choose the most non impressive parts, some of them are even pitchy. Our singers on average are not as good as Indonesians. But we are as bad as this video make it to be.

i can see this video being really biased with the selection of music to make Indonesian songs look more appetizing to hear
on the Indonesian side, the music is relatively new, and Malaysian ones are rather old ones like one of the clips in there that's from 2015.

This is a real Malaysian and Indonesian music industry, so don't blame video makers for malaysia music looking bad. Because in terms of sound systems, stage arrangements, and song arrangements, the Indonesian music industry is more detailed. And singers in Indonesia are not just singers who just sing, but have talent. So don't blame the video maker, but the singer.
comparing is not a healthy habit in a first place..u can't simply comparing celine dion to cristina aguilera, or mariah carey to madonna..evry singer has their own strengths and weaknesses..

I'm Malaysian. Eventhough, this video is biased. In my opinion, Indonesian singers are much better than Philippines. If over singing cover song and belting 90's hits are your criteria, the answer is yes. However, in terms of creativity, production quality, musicality, the answer is no. Maybe you can suggest me great music from Philippines which might changes my opinion.

Quite bias video. Not so good for reaction. Really? Most of the Malaysian artists shown, they are either inexperienced, sick or not on par with the counterparts. The selection is bad for most of the malaysians. They even put Indonesian's Raisa couple of times. gosh i can put Siti nurhaliza live performance against all of Indonesian artists if i wanna be bias. 🤣

Just an advice from a Malaysian, i know your good intentions in making music more universal. Please be extra careful when it comes to comparing ASEAN countries esp Malaysia and Indonesia, both countries had long dispute( still having it tho). Not to be biased just bcs I'm Malaysian, but content like comparing Indonesia and Malaysia would mostly come from Indonesian channel, by any means, they will try so hard to make themselves look superior. Yes they have inferiority complex. Our history goes way back before achieving independence. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they're uncivilized or something it's just they were fooled by their leaders back then and Indonesia is so big to populate over 330 millions of people and that's probably why these content can only be found from indonesian channel. Sometimes Malaysians are just fed up with these cheap provocations and we just don't pay heed to these.
