Rebuilding Starlet rear calipers | part 2

- In todays video i set myself a big goal, to sandblast, prime, basecoat, clear coat and rebuild these calipers in 1 shed day, and we achieved just that.
im super happy with how these turned out, but what do you guys think about my colour choice ?
The rebuild was, dare i say it, quiet easy ! the trickiest part was keeping the handbrake piston, spring and retainer clip in position while fitting the new circlip.
This is a job most hobbyist like myself could definitely manage even with basic tools, so why not have a go yourself ?

Well done joey they look class I did mine some years back there still working well 😊
Jaysus Joey much better job on the paint then I did with mine. I might have to get you to do the rest of the work on my starlet when your done yours lol
Thanks man, when I get my business of building starlets up and running I’ll give you a shout 😅. Thanks for watching ✌️
I did this job yesterday, and now I have no feeling in my finger tips. I'm not sure if my calipers are different (1993 EP82), but I had to locate the bucket/spring/threaded part into the caliper before fitting the piston. That was the worst part of the job, took me AGES to get the thing clipped into place on the first caliper.
Hey Tim, yes loosing all feeling in the finger tips is mandatory, it even says it in the workshop manual 😅. No that’s the same process I had to do too, bucket/spring/threaded part in first. My calipers actually came off a 97 glanza. Thanks for watching man, I’ll be getting my engine fitted soon and more videos to come ✌️
Hello, can you tell me where you bought the repair kit for the rear brakes. Greetings from Perú
Hi there, this kit can be purchased from flos.ie website, he offers international posting also. Thanks for watching and reaching out ✌️
