I was in Thailand (Bangkok and Pattaya) last year for the whole of June and July. The advantages were that I escaped a southern Winter and the accommodation was not just very affordable but it was also available.
To be honest I didn't find it too wet at all and I did heaps of walking without having to worry about the weather.
I intend to return in June this year.

Best time in Chiang Mai and other provinces In the northern of Thailand is Nov-Dec. It is the end of the rainy to beginning of winter. Lush forest area, the waterfall has a lot of water and the weather is cold, To join the lantern festival and Loy Krathong. And again on April 13-15 to join in the Songkran festival in Chiang Mai, very fun and truely local culture.
The time period that should be avoided is Jan-Mar when there is forest burning, especially from Laos and Myanmar. Causes dust problems, should be pm 2.5.

‘Winter’ season lasted all of two days .. last week was in Ubon and the ‘cooler’ earlier mornings had been the week before 😊. 40-45c forecast for March /April in bkk 😢
Is it advisable to visit krabi, phuket, pattaya & Bkk end of May with family and kids??

More than enough, but it really depends on what you do, really. How often will you be going out, partying, etc.
From LA, with flight and hotels, I spent around 3 grand. I had a ball, too, went out a few times, checked out some temples, island hopped..
I'm not much of a drinker or anything like that so most of my money was spent on food, shopping and massages.
For vacation daily 100 tp 150 is good
Pattaya Pride is 7 - 9 June. If you want to see the best looking Thai guys, they will be in Jomtien that weekend
