If time:DPMS AR-10, flash suppressor, thermal monocular, helmet and plates, NODS, Walker game earplugs and a hidy-hole. No time: 12ga w mounted white light loaded with 00 and rifled slug after, say, 5 rounds.
Rifle with IR for sure. The pictures are deceiving. The picture with the cars is a good 40 yards. Not a good job for a shotty. Plus there is to much cover for combatants to hide from a shottty. It looked like I saw fencing in a lot of the photos. Animals posibly? If so Pay attention to the animals. They sense danger well before we do.
Possibly the shotgun cause its hard to see. A bright light wouldnt hurt in that situation
Interesting questions. Hmmmmm.
Night vision with IR ,or thermal.
a rifle and some warm clothes. Snowed 18 inches here in Colorado yesterday. The reflection on the snow made it bright enough not to need nods.
Clothing is critical. Most people can not stay outside all night with what they currently own.
I want to be thirty years younger!
I agree with that.

Aside from that I've gone back to carrying my 1911 and getting intimate with my 12 gauge shockwave.
Others on watch with me.
Excellent choice.
