Hi John, thank you very much for taking the time to watch this, I really appreciate it. Wildlife photography is a great help isn’t it! Happy new year 😊
This is the first video of yours that I've come across, and I must say that I find your story of getting into wildlife photography so familiar, I find it very theraputic to get out and shoot photos, though I wouldn't say I'm as dedicated as you and I'm nowhere close to being professional - maybe one day. I hope you have a great 2022
Thanks for your videos. Wanted to come to Great Britain for my 70th birthday, but COVID19 threw a wrench in that one. So glad I found your channel on UA-cam. Blessings to you and keep up the good work.
Hi Catherine, Sorry to hear you never got over here but I hope you had a good birthday regardless. Thank you so much for watching my videos and I appreciate you taking the time to comment. Take care 😊
Good morning to you from snowy northern Alberta, Canada. Just happened, literally, coming across this site and thought I would give it a try. Well I don't normally do Q&As first but hey there's always a first time and I was pleasantly surprised by your story - very similar to mine! Looking forward to your videos - so here goes. Thank you for your honest answers and good luck with the hare and the lynx and the otters and the owls....
Hi Frederick, How’s it going? Thank you so much for taking the time to watch this and then comment, it means a lot. I’m so glad you didn’t mind the Q&A! Hope you’re enjoying a snowy Canada too 👍😊
Hi there, I have just come across your channel and I think it's brilliant. I myself like to walk about and see what wildlife I can see, but also I have been thinking of setting up a feed station and I've been leaving seeds at certain places I plan to use. I loved the video and got some very useful tips from it. Using aperture priority, what shutter speeds was the camera choosing and do you have a shutter speed limit whilst using AV. Nice images and see you on the next one 📸👍🏽
Hi Lee, Thanks for watching the videos and checking out the channel. I really appreciate it! I change my setting all the time and it really depends on light and what I’m photographing. So there’s no hard rule but I tend not to use an limits 😊 I hope you enjoy future videos and all the best 👍
I am a serious (I suppose) amateur. I don't know how one would make a living out of wildlife photography, but I have a lot of respect for those who do. Images of animals are wonderous, but very few people actually want to hang it on a wall.
Absolutely. Prints are almost a non existent part of my income as a professional wildlife photographer. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 👍🦦
Thank you so much, I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. I am looking to build another hide soon, so I will definitely film the process 😊
Hi Richard, I’ve only just come across your channel and watched a few of your videos. I must say I’m thoroughly enjoying them, Keep up the good work 👊🏻
Just missed the Q&A!...I'm curious about the 'fix' hide, how did you set it up?i.e Is your (or family/friends) land or some one else's and asked permission? Just found your channel and I glad I did, such a great content! Thanks for sharing your fantastic work I will continue following this up!
Hi Jose, Thank you for your comment. Yes it’s a hide I built on my grandpa’s farm a while back. I will be building a new one this spring, so will document the whole process! Thanks for subscribing too 😊👍
Fox’s are my bogey animal too. Three years ago I bought a new house, we back into farmland and the previous owners had been feeding two foxes for years, they came every night and even the neighbours used to text them to tell them they were there. I moved in, never saw them once. 🤬🤬🤬 BTW Please don’t feel pressured to produce weekly content, lots of people I follow are up late Sunday night trying to squeeze a VLOG out. Less is more......................... 👍
Nice video. I've been following you for some time and will continue to do so. Your channel is about what we like to do, photographing wildlife, and not a lot of "omg Nikon just released this and Canon released that, and if you don't use and have a bunch of mirrorless your out" kinda shit. I like your vlogs, photos and style. And not to forget the way you bring your viewers around and show how you get your images and footage. I'm really excited to watch more content from you. Happy new year 🙂
Thank you so much, I really appreciate you saying that and I really appreciate the fact you follow the channel! Plenty more videos to come 👍Happy new Year to you too 😊
Hi Richard great video like yourself I do wildlife photography your spot on with the local wildlife agreed it takes a great deal patience last year I spent a great deal of time photographing grey heron I'm livening in ierland but from wales so I go back home a lot with my gear when I go home I spend time in the elan valley photographing red kite love your blog mate keep it up Gareth
Hi Gareth, Thanks for your comment, I appreciate you watching the videos. It’s so rewarding isn’t it and I guess that’s what makes it so addictive. Would love to do more photography in Wales and Ireland, so hopefully I can do that in the near future 👍
Love your passion as always ! Whenever you can come over here in Canada I’m sure you’ll love it so much ! Great wildlife here !! Thank you for answering all these questions and happy new year 🎆
Thank you so much! We’re due to come in February but looks like BC have brought in new restrictions so we’ll see 🤞I cannot wait to visit and see all the wonderful wildlife 😊
Great video Richard, it was so lovely to get to know a bit more about you! Could you possibly paste the link to your photo tour? I’d love to take a look :)
❣️😍😍👏🏻👏🏻 Amazing one... Big fan of your photography since when i followed you on Instagram, but recently my account is banned on 4th november 😅😊👏🔥... and now i can't saw your beautiful photos, but glad 😅 i watched your great video on UA-cam now.
Super video! You’ll love Canada for wildlife photos. “West is best” as they say out west. Vancouver Island island me is the best. Bear, coastal wolves, Bald eagles and dear all around you in certain places Comox valley which is mid-island. Just north of there in Campbell River you can get all sorts of boat wildlife tours and we’ve photographed Grizzlies, Black bears, dolphins, Humpback whales, Orcas in some of the most stunning scenery. The island has the highest concentration of Cougars in North America but chances of seeing one are slim. Airtransat is the cheapest for flights. Last time we flew into Vancouver and back to Manchester for £500 return.Hope you make a video of your trip ! If you want to save money on photo editing software give Affinity photo a go on a free trial.
Hi Paul, Thanks for all the information, I really appreciate that and it is indeed west that we’re going. We’re flying into Vancouver and then heading to Whistler, Banff, Jasper, Vancouver and then Vancouver island 🤞 thank too for watching the video, it means a lot! All the best 👍
@@mywildlifeimages we’ve covered that route a couple of times! You’ll love it. If you’re only in the south of Van isle best wildlife is between Sooke and Port Renfrew but get off the highway to explore. If you do get up to Campbell River check out Campbell River Whale Watching site! Check and like picture perfect Vancouver island FB page it’ll give you lots of ideas and some great photography. If you get the ferry from Vancouver Island to Victoria keep a look out as last time we saw 3 pods of Orca from the ferry. Don’t hesitate to ask me any questions!
