Wonderful video! I just returned from Jaffna, stunning part of the world, beautiful people and culture, felt so safe but there is so much poverty and hardship. It’s heartbreaking. Would be wonderful if the 1st generation diaspora supported the people of their homeland because the nation doesn’t have the money after the national economic crisis. I’m from Tamil Nadu, living in UK. After hearing the stories of Sri Lankan Tamils who have fled SL to UK, if I were one of them, I will never return to SL. Its a shame that Sri Lanka has lost so much talent. The Tamils there had as much length of history as the Sinhalese there. But, now the loss is SL’s, even as the nations that welcomed SL Tamils like UK, France, Canada benefit and progress from their inputs.

Amazing video. One small correction: there is a whole term of material just covering WWI and WWII. You literally learn a lot about these world wars. Also, in the O/L exams (at least 10 years ago when I took the O/L exams) there were two big questions with sub-questions on both world wars. Other than that, I agree with the education system covered here.

The World knows who we are and they weren't confused, the only person confused is you. The Tamils in homeland having this problem since British left more than 75 years. Eelam was the name of the Island long back in the map whether you like it or not, then arrival of colonial people time the names are Portuguese call it Ceilão, Dutch call it Zeylan ,and British arrived call it as Ceylon. Before these colonial people we had it separated Rulings(kingdoms) happened in that Island then British who made this mess putting these two nations which are Tamils and Sinhalese together to live in that Island but it did not work. All we seen are discriminating and hate by Sinhalese Government and Budist Monks all these years. This is why 3 decades of civil war Happened then the country end up in Bankrupted. After that begging other countries to feed them and also many of the lands were given to China and India do what ever development they can because of the country's nature of poverty. Sorry buddy you may Embarrassed yourself, but we are not. Our History, Language, culture and the Identity are completely different than others so therefore don't dictate to us what we have to call our home land.
