I love how literally everything about these vampires is 1 to 1 with vampire tropes, the burning in sunlight, the stake through the heart, hell they are even shaped like giant bats! But no for the one decision where it matters, you pull up the crucifix and bam suddenly we don't follow the tropes anymore. The one time where it comes up for us to make a decision and the game pulls the football out from under us as we go to kick it.

NL has taught me that he would legit let everyone in his group die as long as he can be self righteous. He legit would let everyone die in his group rather than kill the dude who has been actively trying to kill them and ruining everything the entire time. @@Katsukir he just wants to test the limits of the game/story. sure, 'kill obvious threats and enemies' will get you the route everyone takes, probably the most robust and fleshed out one. but what happens when you take those rare choices? will the game acknowledge them, or just try to railroad you onto something more feasible because the couldn't actually possible write dialogue and scenarios for every possible situation?
Not the way I would play, mind you, but then again, not the kind of game I'd play in the first place.
NL not seeing Dar as villainous is the worst take i've ever seen... The man is forcing Salim to fight on his son's 18th birthday in his religious zealot fueled war (that's already lost) by threat of force, ordered salim and his men to kill the Iraqi farmers being held captive by the Americans (just in case they knew anything about Saddam), he shoots Merwin if he lives long enough, and wanted to kill Clarice, despite believing she was an innocent civilian brought in by the americans (because she is a woman).

Salim is by far the best actor in this whole game.
The voice acting, the facial expressions, the motion capture.
He's an actual real human being. The others are just awful, like a high school drama where the kids didnt bother rehearsing even once.
