Agree, love mine on the black rubber strap. Also prefer the pin buckle to a clasp (like you might find on a Tag rubber strap) as gives it a more traditional diver vibe. ❤
I usually don't comment on videos but I wanted to tell you I was hooked for the entire video. I enjoyed the quality b roll and how your voice and personality shine through. Interesting criticisms of a beloved watch I haven't heard elsewhere were also appreciated. Wish you the best of luck
Such a cool piece and well put thoughts. I got the NTTD and love it but something special about that one and the legibility over the brown on brown dial of the NTTD… good stuff!
I think you did an amazing job explaining this watch. I’m not a fan of the idea of the helium escape valve, but I do agree that it is necessary for the identity and balance of the watch. Great video!
Bruv, great video and Seamaster. I too, wanted a Seamaster for a period of time. Last year, during a "bucket list" trip, I bought myself the black dial 300M. No regrets!!
Congrats …it’s an amazing piece…best value, movement and style at this price point….so much so I bought the Great White myself!! A keeper for sure, for me.
One important thing to know about the omega mesh bracelet is that the clasp has a raised section underneath (that’s how you adjust the length) and it digs into the wrist - because it’s a small surface area, the pressure it digs in is significant. If you wear it tight, it will indent the shape into your wrist, causing a lot of pain.
Love the video, I'm going for the white dial too. Your casual sports and everyday dress wear matches that mesh bracelet perfectly. Time to do research on straps.
Thanks for the review! Validates my purchase of the white dial, which I absolutely love! I also have difficulties turning the bezel due to not being able to grip it, and it’s also quite stiff. Does that get easier with time?
Not a big fan of these bondian Seamasters, but I really like how passionate you are about this watch. I also think the fight with too loose/too tight is everlasting unless the bracelet has on-the-fly adjustments, so I feel you there.
Great video! I have this exact watch but on the metal bracelet, which you may want to consider trying. The quick adjustment clasp easily addresses any temporary changes in wrist size due to temperature.
I have its bigger brother. The 44.25mm Chronograph variant with the 9900 calibre. Grey dial, with blue subdials on an OEM 21mm Rubber strap. It’s amazing. Works so well on the rubber, although I’d love Omega to release an official 21mm sail cloth strap. Something similar to Blancpains FiftyFathoms. I’m tempted by the Milanese Strap, but I’d rather bank the £700 and put it towards my next watch. Looks great though. Keep enjoying your SMP300. Really is the best diver out there. All things considered.
I am planning to get your watch with the blue dial being I already have a Seamaster Pro 300 with grey dial. I'd suggest get a ARTEM STRAP and use the OMEGA Folding clasp if you want the omega symbol on strap.
Such a great video and review. Love you love it so much and did not mention Rolex once ; ) 'Gurl' wrist was humbling. I would suggest getting the optional Omega rubber/deployant strap (it comes in S/M/L as you may already know) and sell the pin buckle. Smaller Planet Ocean may be another watch to consider.
Great review. I have my white Seamaster 300M on a mesh bracelet too. Omega makes the mesh bracelet in 3 sizes and you have the medium. I have the small and mine wears in one of the few middle holes winter and summer. You should sell your bracelet and buy the short and you'll fall in love with your Seamaster again. Keep up the great videos.
Great watch, great video! I went for a Seamaster Planet Ocean with an orange bezel in 2008. Since then I’ve purchased a Tudor BB58 in black. I recently set out to get a Rolex Explorer 40 and now found myself hooked on the polar Seamaster. I think it’s going to be my next watch! 👍🏻
Great video. I’m about to pick up the black dial tomorrow. I’ve also been researching loads and watching loads of videos. Would love to get a Milanese to go with it but I hate it when my wrists shrink and the watch moves around as well. Shame as I know the quality of that omega bracelet. Might have to invest in a different style Milanese that isn’t holes and a buckle.
Two specification corrections: the 8800 has 55 hours power reserve. It is allowed to be plus 6 seconds. It is the 8900 has the 60 hours and plus 5 seconds.
Have you noticed fine scratches on the AR coating? in the artificial light or in direct sunlight I can definitely spot some minor scratches on my crystal (after 1.5 yrars of wearing it daily)
I have the black Omega 300m professional and I love it. The only thing I don't like is the skeleton hands. And I like the Helium relief valve as I am an ex-commercial Saturation diver.
Great video! Btw, the term used to describe the angles on the hands is "facetted". Similar to how a diamond has multiple faces, or facets, that catch the light in different ways.
Congrats for explanation and passion for this watch. I personally added to my white seamaster a brushed Staib 3.6mm bracelet that is top notch, i can use it on other watches too, i can remove links and adjust how loose i want. Staib is the supplier of mesh bracelets for Breitling, its shown in their instagram in a photo very clear, i love Omega head but i consider Staib aftermarket to be amazing and the only one that fits well a luxury time peace, way better then all chinese cheap alternatives, its on par with OEM, i actually heard Staib Germany is the manufacturer of mesh bracelets for Omega too, it probably is due to their 1 century history but i don't have prooves, the bracelet its so confortable i prefer instead of rubber and it was only 180 euros ~200 bucks, much cheaper then OEM.
Tried the Omega Seamaster 300m today, stunning looking watch. It does not hug my wrist on the underside like a submariner does, so not a great fit for me. Probably caused by the sapphire glass, but could be different for other people. I didn’t like the bezel action at all, it felt cheap and is hard to get a grip on it. Submariner and BB58 have superior bezel action imo.
What do you think about the black dial version? I am also in a position to acquire one. But hesitant about the color. I like the feel of white one but love to watch the reflection and quality on black dial
Bought the white dial in 2020 this is on my wrist twenty four seven I was looking to buy two different model rolex watches since buying the omega but I just love the omega 😊
The best rubber strap I found for my blue Seamaster is the Long Island Watch brand Islander FKM universal fit diver's strap. It's under $50 and quality is second to none.
I would love to see Omega have a tritium lumen version (Like Ball watches) of our Seamaster professional 300M . I chose this watch with the silver dial because I love the silver/blue look and the technical specs make it the perfect everyday watch for me. Mine was a self-gift for Airforce Retirement
i have the 'darth vader' (black dial) but it was the white face that initially made me want it. black dial hides the date wheel gap, i never even noticed tbh. anyways, i find the bezel super easy to turn if you grip it almost on the sides of the watch at 2 and 10 oclock rather than trying to turn the bezel by putting your fingers in/on the grooves. try it out.
Only thing better than the white dial SMP is the Tokyo 2020 version with white dial and blue bezel. The hands and hour markers change colour from black to blue in the glare and reflection!
So…how about trying Planet Ocean? 😉 the bezel sound is one of the best in the market. Its supposed to turn that way so its not turned by accident when you time your dive
I don’t agree with your comment on the bezel and that it is hard to grip. For a dive watch this is kind of the point. You don’t want it to move while diving. What is the point of having a bezel that will move whenever you rub it against something? It should give you confidence in the bezel accuracy. The bezel is not a fidget toy.
If you go into an (old) mri with that watch, your watch will get mangled badly, even if technically the movement accuracy is preserved. If you go into a NEW MRI machine, both your watch and its movement will be buggered.
damn.. I really hate you.. kind of. I just made up my mind focussing on Tudor instead of the SMP300, because of the bracelet (regular SMP bracelet I mean) and the fact that Tudor as a brand is more focussed. However after this video seeing the Mesh and the straps as the options once again... and now being able to find that watch for 1500-2000€ below retail... tempting :) Great video. Thank you!
Preferences vary and you should buy what you like, but imho this watch looks massive on your wrist. I also love this watch, but my love of the watch ultimately can't overcome the fact that this watch just isn't designed for 6.5 inch wrists. I'd definitely consider checking out some 38 and 39 mm divers if you haven't yet. Great video regardless!
You got me puzzled when you said 007 was your new favorite movie…then it turned out you’re still a kid so it kind of makes sense. Congrats on the watch tho’.
Well in my guy, the white dial Seamaster will always be king 👑
Agree.
Agree, love mine on the black rubber strap. Also prefer the pin buckle to a clasp (like you might find on a Tag rubber strap) as gives it a more traditional diver vibe. ❤
Looks good on crown and buckle supreme nato ( grey/seatbelt)
Hello Harrison As-always, blue SMP is king!
This is what I'm going to buy for my 30th Birthday. Omega Seamaster white dial with the Omega mesh strap. 😍
Just bought one today. My first real watch! Looks great.
Your thumbnails and your filmmaking is top notch, this channel deserves more attention
I recently purchased the Omega Seamaster with a white dial and black rubber strap. I love the watch, and it has become my new everyday wear.
I usually don't comment on videos but I wanted to tell you I was hooked for the entire video. I enjoyed the quality b roll and how your voice and personality shine through. Interesting criticisms of a beloved watch I haven't heard elsewhere were also appreciated. Wish you the best of luck
Well done! I enjoyed watching your video. Continue to enjoy your Seamaster 300M.
Such a cool piece and well put thoughts. I got the NTTD and love it but something special about that one and the legibility over the brown on brown dial of the NTTD… good stuff!
Another awesome vid G keep it up 👏🏼
I think you did an amazing job explaining this watch.
Great video ! I really enjoyed it appreciate the effort you put in.
Great Video and content. Underrated
A litle bit of the hourehand are filled with the green lume, too.I love my OSMP 300 m white dial, it looks so wonderfull.❤ Great vid.
Congrats …it’s an amazing piece…best value, movement and style at this price point….so much so I bought the Great White myself!! A keeper for sure, for me.
Love the mesh. Worth every penny. You might want to look into the “short” version of it
Love my White Dial with black rubber strap. I've never actually seen it with the Mesh, looks nice and practical. Thanks for this video.
Own the same watch and loving it for more than 2 year, still enjoy the wearing experience since
Got the white dial and blue dial. Love them both! Omega Seamaster is king! 👑

Purely from comfort POV, how do you rate straps: nato, rubber, mesh bracelet and metal bracelet?
Artem Rubber strap is most comfy then omega rubber then nato then mesh
Thanks for the review! Validates my purchase of the white dial, which I absolutely love! I also have difficulties turning the bezel due to not being able to grip it, and it’s also quite stiff. Does that get easier with time?

Nice review!! I want one too!
Great vid!
Great video! I have this exact watch but on the metal bracelet, which you may want to consider trying. The quick adjustment clasp easily addresses any temporary changes in wrist size due to temperature.
Nice and beautiful review, and also true review. From now on I am always watching your vlog I promise .,,,

You've made me want to look into some other strap options 👀 I've had mine about a year now too.
Awesome! The No Time to Die is also my dream piece. You can get it now for 5-6k with the Nato strap
Such a great video and review.
Love you love it so much and did not mention Rolex once ; )
'Gurl' wrist was humbling.
I would suggest getting the optional Omega rubber/deployant strap (it comes in S/M/L as you may already know) and sell the pin buckle.

I have looked for the short when I was buying it and I don’t know where to find it. Do you have a link?
@@kdun8428 I think you can only get the smaller one from an AD or Omega Boutique...
@@kdun8428 I don't but I bought it through Topper Jewelers online. They were able to source it from Omega.
@@kdun8428 Great vid btw! More than likely, you'll have to contact your local Omega Boutique.

Two specification corrections: the 8800 has 55 hours power reserve. It is allowed to be plus 6 seconds. It is the 8900 has the 60 hours and plus 5 seconds.
These are great watches for sure, I just wish omega had a 39.5 mm version as they do on the planet ocean.
Have you noticed fine scratches on the AR coating? in the artificial light or in direct sunlight I can definitely spot some minor scratches on my crystal (after 1.5 yrars of wearing it daily)
What’s the nato strap that you have paired with the watch in the thumbnail? Also amazing video!
Search Spring Made Straps they make different colors and materials but they’re the best natos

nice video, any chance you give us a link for the nato
strap you use?
The NTTD is my grail.
I just ordered a few straps
for my Pitzmann Chronograph.
The best rubber strap I found for my blue Seamaster is the Long Island Watch brand Islander FKM universal fit diver's strap. It's under $50 and quality is second to none.

How about ush the bezel and turn to turn it easily. Good function against bumps unlike the rolex
Bro. I think there are 2 bracelet sizes. Perhaps try it on the smaller one and it’ll be the perfect bit. Good vid.
04.01.2023 The date i got my Omega Seamaster and i still love it 😁
i have the 'darth vader' (black dial) but it was the white face that initially made me want it. black dial hides the date wheel gap, i never even noticed tbh. anyways, i find the bezel super easy to turn if you grip it almost on the sides of the watch at 2 and 10 oclock rather than trying to turn the bezel by putting your fingers in/on the grooves. try it out.
Bezel grip improves significantly when wet. Do not know if this is intentional, but this may be the best wet grip in the same category of diver's.
I gotta ask what wrist size are you, I want to pick this exact watch up so badly but I am sitting at 6.5inch wrist
I have a 6.5 inch wrist
Only thing better than the white dial SMP is the Tokyo 2020 version with white dial and blue bezel. The hands and hour markers change colour from black to blue in the glare and reflection!
Wow, I’ve heard about that model but never seen it, I’ll need to visit my AD and check it out.
So…how about trying Planet Ocean? 😉 the bezel sound is one of the best in the market. Its supposed to turn that way so its not turned by accident when you time your dive
I bought the SMP on the black dial 1 month ago. Hasn’t come off my wrist
Which mesh bracelet is that? Is it titanium?
Adrian also influenced me to buy the white SMP 😅
I don’t agree with your comment on the bezel and that it is hard to grip. For a dive watch this is kind of the point. You don’t want it to move while diving. What is the point of having a bezel that will move whenever you rub it against something? It should give you confidence in the bezel accuracy. The bezel is not a fidget toy.
My exact thoughts exactly, all my other divers will move from time to time but my SMP300M never has.
That wart on the left side annoys me with these Seamasters but that's me... live and let... live (subtle Bond pun)
You should've ordered the smaller size mesh bracelet from Omega boutique because it's available in smaller sizes
Love my, great white, on an artem strap. Love the mesh to but mucho $$$.
Really? The Minute hand doesnt block the date window? My Green Seamaster 300m Date window gets blocked haha.

Nice 👌🏽
I told the Chisholm Hunter channel about this video and said so in the comments section but someone has deleted my comment twice! Bizarre
CH probably doesn't appreciate competition, in any form.
How much was the OEM mesh bracelet?
$800😅
If you go into an (old) mri with that watch, your watch will get mangled badly, even if technically the movement accuracy is preserved. If you go into a NEW MRI machine, both your watch and its movement will be buggered.

I enjoyed this video same as my Vodka Martini; shaken, not stirred.
Take your seamster 300 into an MRI, let me know how that works out for you lol. Jokes aside, nice video and beautiful watch.

The Helium escape valve is a wrong shape and sticks out further than the original James Bond 300 watch, it is controversial and needs to change.
42 mm is too big for me :( always
This man hates silicone
You got me puzzled when you said 007 was your new favorite movie…then it turned out you’re still a kid so it kind of makes sense. Congrats on the watch tho’.
Your eyes are interesting. You like like you're no-clipping right down the middle of your body.
Can’t justify 10k for a watch that only gives you the time.
Don’t look at its big brother then 😂
These are around $5k to $6k
