Gemballa is known as one of the most extreme '80s tuners. Primarily focusing on Porsches, Gemballa did do work on several Mercedes models like the SEC and SEL. Known for lavish interiors and revolutionary technology for the time, Gemballa spared no expense. This example, however, a 1984 500 SEC, is a rather understated example of Gemballa's typical work. A beautiful leather interior is capped off with the signature Gemballa steering wheel that features radio controls - the first to do so in this era.

From the famous AMG Hammer to the Koenig Specials 560 SEC, The Patina Collective is home to the world's most unique and influential Mercedes-Benz. We are not car guys though. We are culture guys. We appreciate these cars for their cultural relevance and the eras of Miami Vice and 80s opulence that they symbolize. The rarest tuner Mercedes from SGS Styling Garage, ABC Exclusive, Koenig Specials, RennTech, Brabus, pre-merger AMG, Gemballa, Maybach, and more, all lie within our Mercedes collection in Boca Raton, Florida. Benz culture runs deep in our blood and we aim to share with you all our passion, knowledge, and dedication to keeping these widebody cars alive. This is more than a car collection for us - more than a vintage Mercedes collection - it is a preservation of global cultural history! - Авто та транспорт
This gemballa is so unique that almost every car on road can hide i imagine when someone walks to it with dirty hands
Great Video with Shmee, you guys came off as true curators and educators of these rare automobiles.
Brought me here!
the smile of the last guy says everything!!!
You guys have changed the game of car collections💪💪 Long live the Patina collective
I powder coat wheels for a living been doing so for 20 years I've painted maybe 2 sets of Gemballa wheels in my life and they were for Porsche's the fact they also worked on Mercedes back then is wild. Gemballa anything is rare and expensive. Great content .
Thanks man for putting me in your video you you a real nice humble person my God continue to bless you and your family and friends
Blanco 500 SEC Gembala. ⚪️🤤
Great job on Shmee, you guys are real ones.
Gemballa is so iconic! And I love the history implemented on your videos from the tuner to the person that owned it, etc. These cars are so remarkable and to the very few who were lucky to own em, it’s great what y’all are doing if it wasn’t for y’all accumulating these unicorns these cars roots and history would simply be a mystery never to surface, thanks for what y’all do at Patena! it means a lot seriously ❤ It’s more then collecting, it’s the passion y’all have and sharing it! 🙂 and that’s priceless!
my fav car of all time is an 86 Gemballa Avalanche in that pearl white with white interior
I saw a Gemballa 911 a few years ago in Rochester, NY. I almost lost control.....I could not believe it!
I really hope you will make this kind of videos for all / many of the cars you have in the collection! But please dont forget to make also videos like we are used to with all the stuff that happens around the cars. Like cars arriving, washing or just the simple things like books coming in the mail! Or even Vico getting his hair cut between the cars😉🔥 Really love those vids!
Love the detail of these videos. I have only ever seen a few pictures of cars like these so please do not stop making videos.
So cool to hear you talk about These Fantastic cars and show everything about them . I learn so much from every video
I remember seeing my first Gemballa Porsches when I lived in Tokyo 02-04. Gemballa had a stand at the Tokyo Motor show in 03. Those things looked incredible.
Awesome and great quality content! Came from Shmee and now I am here to stay! Sadly I don't know of any Gemballa's but I'm sure to keep watching and see how the collective grows!
My new favorite channel for sure!
Thank you for doing this and showing us amazing work over there ✌️
Awesome Awesome channel! I've been binge watching all week!
Respect what you’re doing, beautiful cars
great video guys.
not many car guys can teach me somethings I didn't know, but I learned from this video. A+
Thanks for another cool video. That is a beautiful SEC. Thank you for sharing some history on Gemballa.
That Sec is hard bro, all white y’all killed it, i love that joint rite that bro, please don’t stop fixing up the older cars, they run better and look better than the new cars!!!
proud that car left my land 🇮🇨🇮🇨
Shmee!! Never watched something so long without skipping a single second. I LOVE THIS !!!!!!!
Guys this is insane!
My brothers, y'all are legends in this game for real for real ! 💯
PATINA BOYZ FOREVER
You guys have the best luxury cars on UA-cam, this channel should have a million + subscribers!
I love Gemballas. Ive been wanting a Gemballa 997 Turbo Avalanche since I 1st heard about it in College.
Great cars and knowledge here - thanks for sharing 👍
Nice vid there boys. Keep doing what you’re doing and I’m sure those elusive Gemballas will come flooding in to Florida.
Love this episode and the history of gemballa 💎
What a gem!! Congrats boys!
Would love to see a series on all the g wagons you guys collected and are hunting down. Love the drop top Amy Japan and even the brabus bus/van
Miami Vice style (white body + white interior) 😍👍
My black Gemballa steering wheel with the head unit control buttons now takes pride of joy on your office wall display above your desk in most of your video's
Cool home for it now to share the legendary Gemballa history
Incredible leather detaila and the inversed colour on the.trunk is great!
0:51 - One correction... The Canary Islands are Spain. They are as much Spain as any other spanish province is. It is in fact a province of Spain.
Note: on the Gemballa, you still see an old-style spanish license plate, with "GC" standing for "Gran Canaria". Until 2000, the first letters on spanish license plates showed the provincial codes: e.g. A = Alicante, B = Barcelona, BI = Bilbao, BU = Burgos, M = Madrid, SE = Sevilla, GC = Gran Canaria, TF = Tenerife (another one of the Canary Islands).
Spoke to Shant over at CMS. Nothing but the best to say about the Patina boys. Keep making waves y’all. Doing real work.
tnx for the video
I always loved the 80s and early 90s Mercedes but this channel has really open my eyes for all the crazy builders that where out there . Now i dont do anytging Else om my spare time then reading up on all of them 😅. Thank you guys for showing me this whole new world pr Mercedes cars
Yo.. love these kinds of vids, (one car has its special video.) But I enjoy the regular videos more (getting deliveries, servicing a few.) Could you guys upload a video about one specific car on like Wednesday and the normal content on our Sundays? Just a thought, so we could still learn about each individual car but still have the normal content.. I don’t miss a video btw, all love family
I will make sure to come when the museum opens. I'm so excited
Also, Really cool tour with shmee, what's crazy is he only saw the tip of the iceberg, I could spend a day there reading on every unique story that every car comes with, you guys truly put in the work.
I hope they do full reviews in depth with all their cars! Patina Boys!
Very interesting car great video keep them coming
Very nice and good unit, and from my land Spain 😍. If I ever go to Florida your museum is a must see. greetings
Very nice!
Legendary 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
With all that work... Trunk lid is still bare steel
Gemballa is a legendary tuning company, The son of the original owner is working on new Porsches today - a bit more rally inspired though. Really ahead of their time, lots of tech, steering wheel controls, really aggressive body kits. The AVALANCHE Porsches look insanely aggressive, cant imagine what seeing one in the 80's must have felt like - even today they are a show stopper.
🙌Gemballa boys in the building!🙌
Bro that’s definitely a show car, some white three piece BBS would look dam good on that beautiful car
The guy at the end "this don't make sense"! exactly what I say when hear 300 benzes
Fabulous Benz 😎
Patina collective should put out an annual calendar showcasing all of their rarest cars.
I love this car❤️👍
man I cant believe what im watching. Obsessed. We need links to songs used in the video in the description. Peace from Canada at the red part of the salt belt, im taking care of the w114 though.
I need to get my widebody count up. im slippin' out here.
Incredible stuff. Thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Exquisite car, Saint Tropez is on French Riviera, another place another collection :)) but Canary islands are really something else, been there last year, Tenerife island, seen some old vintage Automobiles there. Keep up the good work!
Don't forget to showcase those beautiful Fast Merc Wagons. Love a last wagon/estate! The best of all worlds.
Sorry for missing last Patina Sunday, I will catch up!
DAMN SOME OF THE BEST JOINTS WERE MADE BACK THEN .... THE MUSEUM GOING TO BE DOOOOOOOOOOOPE
One of the most Underrated Mercedes Benz tuner. Hope to see a video about SGS Garage too.
I'm from South Africa and never heard of the name "Gemballa", even though I've seen the Porsche style, never knew what it was. Thanks for educating us, even across the waters 🔥🔥🔥
Greetings guys remember reading about this tuner in the eighties there work was very unique to think they did all this way back then and yes try getting those original rims with the dual colors
Love Gems work they also made cool 911.
I’m lowkey tryna start a collection like yall but with porsches so when y’all see me blow up I’ll definitely tip my hat to Pantina Collective
Please make a video about that W202 blue Brabus. I've seen that car in Shmee's video. Great collection!
2000 subscribers since Shmee’s video. Nice boyz
Got a Gemballa, this ain't an Impala 💯💯💯
People need to realize Gemballa was waaay ahead of its time as far as technology . Some of those things were unheard of in 1984. I’m sure there were more than a few driving around in south Florida in the early 80’s when some types had disposable income 💵
0:51 what a view!!!
I have also one white gembella, my kilometer counter is with led and a digital counter.. i love the car🔥🔥
560sec its mine think its a 6.0 amg with v12
Contact us on Instagram
The first time I'm hearing gerballa

I watched a video about the E30 Gemballa. It’s in Pennsylvania.
Nope! You definitely broke the record of saying Gemballa the most times in a video. LOL I'm local. I'm itching to go see all these great Mercedes!

I like today's video and how you guys went into detail about The GEMBALLA. I didn't know that this car existed. You guys are really putting us on with the classic gems 💎 that most didn't know about thank you guys for this content. Also showing us and new Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts how far ahead in advance Mercedes-Benz was then and how they still are ahead today. Keep up the good work and keep putting out great content. #ThePatinaCollective #Benzonly
And y’all should so something wit Curren$y y’all would make some fire classic Benz content

Just read the Uwe Gemballa story. Never knew much about him or the company. What a sad ending to the legacy.
I had no idea about Gemballa's history
The biggest
How much did you spent for this Gemballa?
Such a nice and unique car but I think the dash is not the original one it's may replaced
Do you have any Carlssons in the collection?

Your music is fire bro. We bumpin that in New York in our benzs
#MuseumAlert There’s a 91 300CE Koenig Special in Bristol, Connecticut that was owned by Ken Griffey Jr
This shit right here, this shit..
Loving this channel more and more its weirdly satisfying to see cars you know were owned by Middle East billionaires, mobsters, and cartel kingpins haha. The average Wall Street banker wasn't driving these.
The Only Shape That Exists, a friend said, no matter SEL or SEC meaning it's so perfect you can only fuck up as seen from all tuners. You cannot improve the looks of 126 keep it to the engine
You guys should get the gemballa that uday used to have it was listed for sale for 36000 usd it's sec wide body in white
Please save it please
Already purchased brother
@@PatinaCollective thank you so much 😍
@@PatinaCollective also there is w126 500 sel guard in white in Baghdad listed for sale in a dealership if you guys are interested
A lot of these 'bespoked' cars age less gracefully than OEM. Case & point- look down the side with certain shots and the lower plastic panels wave at you. Gemballa is not alone, the vast majority do, rare when an aftermarket or niche customizer does a vehicle.
