I don't understand why people think BJP lost the election. BJP is still the majority party, 140 seats more than Congress. Just fell short of Parliamentary majority by 32 seats. Modi still will be the PM.

@@sansin6250 You're missing the entire point. This isn't considered as Modi's win because BJP solely didn't cross 272, unlike the last two times - 2014 & 2019. So this time BJP will have to depend on it's allies and accept their terms and conditions unless they want to lose power and the Government.
This isn't Modi Government anymore, its more of Modi-Nitish-Naidu Government, which might also hesitate to implement UCC and other radical reforms.
Nitish and Naidu are already making tall claims from BJP Government. For now, they have the ball in their court and the entire game in their control.
