Kia Ora hello from Aotearoa new zealand. Yip ya getting old but this music never gets old. When i go to gigs now (Punkrock/Ska/ Reggae) that's all I'm interested in musically i do the wall dance lean back against the wall and skank in my head that way i can still walk back to the car afterwards. I've had multiple operations on my spine left leg hip and shoulders (hit by a drunk driver in 1987) who ran a red light and slammed into my motorbike 😠😡🤬
I am hearing this now, for the first time in around 40 years. It sounds even better now than back then. I love the dancing, the music is fresh, crisp, and melodic. Its worth remembering that having mixed race bands was not the done thing back then. The 2 Tone scene in Coventry were pioneers in this.

What an awesome era of attitude, class and musical skill...Privileged to have been born in '69, young enough to enjoy it and old enough to remember it...
Just watching Pauline Black being interviewed on TV concerning Coventry winning the 'city of culture'. What an eloquent, warm and beautiful woman she is.
Coming up England by a different line For once, early in the cold new year, We stopped, and, watching men with number plates Sprint down the platform to familiar gates, "Why, Coventry!" I exclaimed. "I was born here."
What great positive energy; So manic and fun. It was such a fleeting moment in our cultural history when differences were not simply set aside but mutually felt which formed a kinship bond, thus the Two Tone movement was born. Something this epic needs to happen again!
Completely forgot the song, not having heard it for 40 years or so. Some commercial on Romanian TV used the tune. I remembered it, but had to use Sound hound to get a memory flashback. Awesome!
While the punks were ‘incorporating’ reggae styles, these guys and the Specials were doing it the other way around. I was 12 when this came out, loved it then and great to hear it now - especially that shift between the sweet island melody of the verses into the utter meltdown of the chorus - ‘he’s just a simple show . . . . On my radio!’
Warched these guys last night in Leamington Spa...absolutely brilliant from start to finish, the sound and performance was greater than I'd expected , top night👍
8 years old on my way out to school and this peach broke through the radio 1 morning barrier. Ska for me was all about spreading colour on a concrete canvas, that included the sky.
The track sounds somewhat different, but damn, it's so nice to see this clearly, unlike all the awful, grainy downloads of this song on here. I love the band's exhuberance!
My girlfriend is sad I don't like to go to any place to dance to modern music, all commercial stuff damages my ears and brain. Maybe it's much asking, for a pub to have this music on tune, I would happily dance to masterpieces like this one, already do it at home but would be nice to socialize dancing to this, I'm sure you get the feeling of union, happiness, freedom... I see many things evolving but particularly music, it seems it is evolving backwards. I feel good for all of you who could experience this live.
Here after watching short film called "The Fence" liked the song in the movie so checked it out, pretty chuffed with myself :) Would recomend the movie, certainly worth a watch
Love this my uncles doing the drums ❤️
Very Cool. Loved him ❤🧡
is your uncle still drumming
How is he doing?
Great class drummer!!!!
Harrington?
I was born in uk in 72 ....just old enough to catch the SKA revolution in the late 70s and early 80s......loved it......
lucky you are
Why does this seem so much more real and dynamic than todays music . I wish I could put my finger on it. I'm probably getting old . That's aĺl. 😢

Soo original and full of good vibes
Those were great times for music, not that much for the rest, yuppies times and all that bollocks…
What a privilege to have parents born in the 40s who bought me up with music from the 60s and 70s

R.I.P Gaps...One of the most memorable tunes of my youth...Long gone!.. Pogo in heaven!
Yeah RIP Gaps 🙏
Skatastic sound, suits, and scenes 😎
Gaps gone!? I didn't know that. That just leaves Madness as the only 2nd wave Ska band that hasn't lost a member, if I'm not wrong.
Aren't we glad we were young and free in this era? Still loving it 40 years later..............40 Years guys.....wow.
I feel your pain *cough* nostalgia!
And they are still doin it today
80's music was so diverse..best era ever.
This was from 1979.
1979 then it went pear shape in the 80's.
Sure . 80s forever

True

I'm reading her autobiography at the moment. Fascinating stuff.
She was just on Breakfast and she's still as eloquent, warm and beautiful as ever.
Educated, too.
I just purchased Dance Craze on blu ray and she is such a force of nature.... outstanding
Great music of it's time. Pauline Black was on Sunday Brunch today. What an artist.

What a great description - totally agree!
Check out The Interrupters. They are carrying the torch!

It's hard not to like this song,it's so upbeat.
A great time to be alive. Fabulous band
Paula Black is currently doing the Selecter "We ain't dead yet" tour! 😂
It was a very rough time to be alive thatcher was our prime minister and we were in a terrible recession but the music was good
I wasn't onto this stuff at the time . But looking back now, It really is a happy bouncy tune and cheers me up no end 👍

The song is to be heard on the new ORANGE tv commercial ! Long live the 80's ! c'est funny very ....
J'ai retrouvé cette super chanson grâce au clip orange!
Not heard this in a long while, probably since 1979 when it came out.
In my opinion a group who were underrated but a very important cog in the wheel of this type of music brilliant
I found Celebrate The Bullet LP at Goodwill and been enjoying these guys. Never heard of them but glad I found them AWESOME!
