Stop saying i4wd is an automatic diff lock. It is NOT a diff lock. it uses brake actuation to simulate a locking diff. The problem is that when you put tires that are bigger or more aggressive on the machine, i4wd cant apply enough brake pressure to make both fronts pull, which at that point, its just an open front diff. It is very much a DOWNGRADE from the standard mechanical locking diff in the base/deluxe models. Honda just needs to give us the QS3 shocks on a model with the manual locking diff. THAT would be the best trail rig.
This is our new family rig. We love it. Also use it to pull a brush mower, clean up trails and general farm work. Then go get ice cream with the fam after.
Been considering one of these. I am a Honda fan and the fact the bed can be converted is a great idea. The have come a long way since my first 1986 TRX350.
I bought a 2016 1000-5 I have owned it for 8 1/2 years, not one problem I prefer driving in Manuel mode I baby the transmission. I never lug it. I never go on the hills that are steep unless I’m in low I bought some aftermarket seat bottoms for the back that are a metal bracket that accepts razor seat bases it makes riding in the back a whole New World, the original backseats are not adult friendly but with these brackets and the razor seat bases riding in the back is a pleasure it gets a little warm in the summer because you’re sitting on top of the engine basically but I don’t ride the desert. I’m a mountain rider and a hunter, when the weather turns cold, the warm seats are a blessing still have the original battery original tires never had a flat I couldn’t be more pleased with the machine. I’m a Honda guy from my first Honda when I was eight years old in 1968.
I got a 2014 Honda pioneer 700-4 been through h_ll before i got it an i haven't been to easy on it if get another one like to get the pioneer 1000 the sets in the bed fold away is great idea big Honda fan
I bought the 2024 Forest edition. Love the design and drive train, hoewever fit and finish leaves a bit to be desired. Doors and box rattles should not be happening for the price.
I bought a new 3 seater back in 21. The thing is a rattle trap. The doors and the bed rattle constantly. I adjusted them, still rattles. For a 1000 it is very under powered. Not much more power than my cuz's Tyrex that essentially has a Brute Force engine. I'm glad mine does not have the i4wd. That system uses the breaks to simulate lockers/limited slip. It eats pads and rotors pretty quick and they are pretty expensive to replace. The computer over-rides your shift commands if you get very aggressive with your manual shifts. Not a fan of the electric clutch eithe. Itt's either on or off, no in-between. So really slow, technical stuff can have you rolling backwards when it disengages and gives you whiplash when it kicks back in. Atleast I never have to do belt replacements on the trail and have it mysteriously catch on fire like some of the other brands so there's that. Engine breaking is awesome. It's not a horrible machine. Weighing all the options out there it checks more boxes for me than the rest of them but Honda could have done so much more for what the machine cost.
had one for 4 years.bought it for the percieved Honda reliability.what a piece of junk.especially if you get the shift control motor fail code.the commader xtp is better in every single way.
Not a great unit for a family, extreme heat in the summer and very poor rear seats, good for toddlers but not for large kids or adults, the rear seats are a joke

That is awesome!
I really like the way this was done. Thank you
And I'm getting at is the way you get to incorporated your life as a way to describe the Honda. Good job
Change the word life to wife that was awesome to see her incorporated into the presentation

Honda moves slowly, but methodically and without question, Honda owners love their Hondas.
I seen all reviews of Pioneer , this one definitely best one ❤
Glad you liked it!

Definitely one of the best buggy’s for working around the howse.

Beautiful compound buddy
Appreciate that 🙏
Great video. What's the largest diameter tire that would fit on this without a lift?

It’s my understanding that the paddle shifters do change gears momentarily in auto mode
Omg Temagami ❤
Did they ever fix the hot cabin heat problem
How do you get into a job like that? Testing ATVs and UTVs, enjoying random trails. Seriously, how can I get a job doing this?
Start making videos and build a following large enough that the OEMs notice you.
Went with a Kawasaki Teryx4 after seeing Honda's back seats in person. Two adults and two small kids is the Honda Pioneer limit.
Teryx is a good machine.
The Pioneer really needs a refresh to keep up with the competition
With Yamaha just dropping the stretched out RMAX4, I'm wondering if we'll see that happen with the Pioneer as well.
They are awesome machines for sure. However, if Honda could fix the cab system and how much heat comes from under the front bench it would be EPIC!
I wonder how much these cost?
When are we getting the 2025 Pioneer 1000-5?
only thing i was thinking watching this is Honda needs a Commander / General competitor.
Agreed 100 percent.
Full cab with AC and heat make it a option...... please
Maybe take off 5 grand of the total price 1st. These are way too expensive for a weekend toy. 15k to 30k.. No thanks.
They make that. It’s called the Honda Passport.

Nice unit but gas tank & tires too small.😢
