Great work Kevin! Nothing better than home grown potatoes in my opinion. Can’t wait to see your harvest this year. Didn’t know that pigs wouldn’t eat raw potatoes so learned something new today too! Thanks for sharing my friend and I wish you all the best.
Howdy Shane. Yeah, now you know how to feed pigs. I didn't try any fancy recipes on them hogs, but I bet they would have loved it! 😂. I hope you are doing great my friend. Meet me in the woodshed next week and we'll talk about axes!
Still some good folks out here, Henry, especially in the outskirts. When we first started out here, someone dropped of a gunny sack of free seed potatoes at the store. Kennebecs. I grew some that year and they had a huge yield. Free things don't last long around here, and we were happy to give back. Have a great weekend, my friend!
Still cant get over how deep and stone free your soil is! Those spuds must think they're in potato heaven. Your in for another bumper crop im bettin'. Another nice video from Westfork 👍🌱
Thank you Pinepuppy. I'm shooting for 300# again this year. The remaining seed potatoes disappeared from the little country store in short order, which really made my day!
It was a really cool spring, with a June 19 killing frost. Still, the potato patch is doing great, and the new potatoes are so good. Tomatoes are still a work in progress! Thanks for watching, my friend. Have a great week!
That ought to give you a great crop of taters come harvest time Kevin. Really love the look of your homestead up on the West Fork. Would love to see it in person some day. From the fenced in garden to the chicken coop to the broom shop… everything I’ve seen so far just looks awesome. Nice of you to take the extras down to the Country store for someone else to use. Looking forward to the next video. ✌️
Thanks for coming along, Don. The homestead is wonderful this time of year. Still, I'm looking forward to taking some camping and fishing trips this summer. Thanks for watching, my friend. I'm looking forward to your next outing!
Howdy Mo. We don't have ground squirrels, but the neighbors have plenty. Our nemesis is gophers and moles. So far they don't eat spuds, but they wiped out all the carrots last year! We just plant a bunch of stuff, and hope for the best. Thanks for watching, my friend. Have a great weekend!
I sure enjoy you sharing all this with us Kevin. I can honestly say that I learn something each time a new video of yours comes out. Thank You!!!
Thank you Dave. I really appreciate your support. Next video will be Axe Talk out in the woodshed. See you there!

Taking them to the country store for folks! Washington people are some of the kindest folks. What Florida used to be like....

“ The Pigs liked my cooking” -quite a compliment 😂Beautiful garden spot there, potatoes, onions and tomatoes about as good as it gets! Take care

Nice work Kevin, you inspired me to start boiling potatoes for salad & Gramma Donnies potatoes here at the festival. Thx for sharing.
Yum, Potato salad is my favorite!
The soil looks nice and rich.
The soil is not too bad. Next year we will add more organic compost. Thank you for watching, and have a great weekend!

Potato cakes are also very good 👍
Thanks Dan. I will add that to my list. I hope you are doing well, my friend.
Educational and entertaining. Thanks for posting these. Do you have any issues with ground squirrels in your area?
