I was hoping maybe for a fully decorated Christmas tree as an energy harvesting antenna. Happy Holidays to all my fellow energy nerds!

      Hmmm, there is no.
Window for me to comment, So I have to reply to this person's comment.
As I expected, the copper mesh wins :-) hmm did you ever try the circuit that I used is in my free energy from air videos. And some of that radiance energy that you're picking up is also from the cosmos.
Black hole, the moon quasars pulsars, stars, etc.
I really love the copper mesh idea. I'm wondering how it will hold up during special winter conditions when snow flakes hit it, melt, and then turn to heavy ice.
      Great video, thanks for posting!

Hey Paul, the only circuit I used with this setup so far, is a full bridge rectifier with a small filter cap.
I will try other circuits this winter. I soldered the mesh to the wire holding it, in several spots. Did the same to the copper tinsel. I think they will hold up...
      Thanks for the comment!

Really appreciate all the detail, thank you! Are you sure there isn't a radio signal involved? I couldn't rule it out by what I saw of the scope, looked like it could have been a carrier wave with a signal modulated into it. That's solidly in the longwave/LF band, can easily travel several hundred miles. Might be fun to check around that area of the spectrum if you come across a LF radio. Thanks again for exploring this more in spite of the weather. Risking your neck on an icy roof suspending random shapes and materials dozens of feet in the air in the name of science is a pretty admirable level of dedication.

Just wanted to add, shortly after I wrote that, I came across a video of a guy receiving groundwave propagated radio signals from literally only grounded wires, right around the frequencies your were seeing. Makes me wonder how much of the power/signal you're seeing is from the wires vs from the ground, since we're talking about such tiny barely-measurable currents.

There could be weak radio signals in there, but nothing strong like I had before in earlier videos. Where I was getting a couple of milliwatts out.

When I was building high tension powerlines, the placement of the conductor was swapped arround every 30 or 40 kilometers or what ever it was, to neutralize the current build-up. I always believed this current was from the earths magnect feild.
Also the conductor surface had to be smooth and not scratched, because that caused static radio interference.
