I just hope they don't spend all that on just players. But on facilities, stadium and coaches as well.
On welcome to Wrexham they cover alot of what the expenditure is that you might not think of. They bought the stadium back so it's club owner and invested in redeveloping a stand. As well as putting a bar in there while making sure it wouldn't negatively affect a local pub people go to before games. Other things they've invested in is accessibility and hiring people who were previously volunteering to keep the club alive
While I understand the desire- Better players equal wins. Wins equal promotion. Promotion equals money. Money equals better players. And so forth. Facilities are secondary to all that, somewhat unfortunately
@@Jay-ku3urno without the right level of facilities it is completely and utterly unsustainable. At some point IF RR and RM still own Wrexham they will need to put significant funds into the training ground, build up their academy AND the ground. You can get away with it in the lower leagues but in the Championship and in the prem. Those things can be a difference maker in how competive you can be long term. In the prem most clubs don't make it past 10 years. You can't just replace and buy an entire 25 man PL quality squad on just TV money or owner debt. Everton are proving that right now.
@@eagle_rb_mmoomin_418Getting into the Premier League is probably not a mid term goal for Reynolds and McElheeney. They know how much they need to spend to have a team fitting at least the EFL Championship, and likely they will want to wait if the team ever gets to it. Luckily, the team have a big potential for being profitable. About the academy, if Wrexham ever haves an big academy, because of the area it would be able to get players from, it's going to be very effective to run and will help the team a lot.
@@Otto500206 Given they are spending on a new stand at Wrexham I think they are fully aware that they need to sort out infrastructure. As they go up the league FFP becomes more and more relevant so a bigger ground and revenue is what will be needed as Wrexhams costs go up.

I have a career mode in FIFA 23 with a League Two side in Crewe Alexandra and I’m two months (in game time) away from possibly making it to the Premier League for the first time ever so yeah
After 3 years of continuing success and 2 back to back promotions all indications are it’s a winning formula❤
When the takeover first happened I didn’t think they’d do it. Now that I’ve seen the impact I would absolutely not be surprised if they eventually did
I think an AFC Bournemouth template following their promotion to League 1 would be the best bet (spend 2 seasons in League 1 then repeat in the Championship and BOOM premier league football)

A big advantage is the revenue turnover they'll have by the time they get to the epl, it won't just be another team promoting to the top flight, they'll be stacked with the best possible staffs and revenue
Why do people keep saying Wrexham will do a Luton.
So that means get to the top league ,then back to the bottom with loads of points deducted ,then back to the top on shoestring budget.
Wrexham have never been in the top flight so in theory it would take them at least 13 years to achieve it.
Also Luton didnt have rich owners.
So people get a grip.

My prediction is promoted now 2 years in league one, 4/5 in championship and then finally reach the Orem in 2030

Its not just the money. Its the money combined with the brain trust. They started on the right path by hiring top management and coaching. And they seem to truly listen to them. Add in the right psychological attitude to keep their players heads in most games and owners who are smart enough to always do as the experts say and the final ingredient is signing players who truly want to be part of the story. That's how they got Mullin. That's how they got Foster. It is a business but they are treating all players well by being open and honest and looking out for them outside of their sports careers. That is a competitive edge in a job with a very short shelf life that can be vaporized at any given moment by a bad injury. Each step gets harder and requires luck, but they are controlling everything they can contol.

I’m approaching 50 in a couple of years, I pray I’d get to watch Wrexham AFC, and the longsuffering good people of Wrecsam, celebrate their promotion into the Premiership. And continue celebrating as they sustain their stay there for decades long after we all have gone home to the good Lord 🙏🏼

The money helps, but their Hollywood benefactors are more than likely going to lose interest LONG before the 10 season, if they're lucky, hike to the PL. Less than 20 % of the team will still be playing due to age, so you have to hope training and recruitment stay on track. You're trying to guess the future TOO far out and with WAY to many hurdles and variables to accurately say. Good luck to them, but honestly, this is just more "flash" coming from their TV fame.
The question is, does the city of Wrexham metropolitan area have the numbers/population to sustain the club in the premier league? They can make it with all the current and recent fanfare, but when thats worn off will they maintain that level? Or is the goal to make it to one season in the premier league then, who cares after that? "We did our job, got them to the league. We're gonna sell it now and, good luck."

Yeah they get on TV for cup games despite having a lot of money and resources. My club Reading could only dream of this. They get point deductions and financially are terrible due to the owner

Why? they have a great story. They have great owners. They actually pull off cupsets. Their games are entertaining. They have their own TV show to further engage fans with behind the scenes access. And they score lots of goals

A very good rise from the 8th tier I believe to the 3rd tier is a mad journey for any club but especially a phoenix one to meet MK Dons up there is mad but Dorking is more like Wimbledon in that sense a newer club approaching the professional leagues

No but it's to be expected their squad isn't quality they overperform even in the Championship last season they had higher odds of getting relegated then promoted despite their great season before that. They've got a bite to them and I've been saying it since the start of the season I don't think they will get relegated. They may very well do but I can see atleast three teams worse then them thus far and when you factor in Everton's points deduction coming soon they've got a good chance of staying up this season
