They were NOT feeding her b/c it's "cute" they were feeding only her b/c they knew the others would attack her b/c monkey/troop law is the babies don't get to eat until all of the adult monkeys had been fed or they'll get beat for it, and they didn't disappoint. Daniela knew she did wrong, she went to DD and begged for forgiveness, but to no avail. She had to pay the price.

For those wondering what’s going on. The baby ate before it was supposed to. (Elders eat first) and the mom wasn’t punishing the baby properly in the others eyes. so the other females took part in punishing it. A baby can be killed by a high ranking male, or even a female, for eating out of place. Which is why monkeys are so harsh when it comes to punishment. They’re.. in a way.. saving it’s life.
No there was food all over the place that day. Dolly and DeeDee had all already stuffed their faces. Dolly and DeeDee did not want Daniela to eat at all, were keeping her from her mother so she could not nurse. And there are video were the babies are eating and they are not being attacked. And anyway rank determines who eats first and high ranking offspring eat before lower ranking adult members. A lower ranking member can not discipline offspring of higher ranking members. Kin protect their own. And they dont kill the babies they take the food. From a biological and evolutionary perspective taking the food would be more energy efficient. An infant can be killed but it is not usually intentional but more of a function that the infants are smaller. Food does cause problems but infants are not the only ones attacked for food. Look at DeeDee now a days she gets attack for food and has to watch Jilla and Mia higher ranking younger females eat. She sneaks food because she has to sometimes. But she looks over her shoulder as she does it.
No, This is the entire troop having had it with Daniella. She charges Dee Dee head up and jumps at her in this video. There's NO defending that, Or explanation over than Daniella was plain and simple not going to learn. I've watched the videos again and again. She was a nightmare. Almost the entire troop is in on her discipline here. You point out alot of important things, And seem to really know monkeys, But Daniella was simply not going to make it. If she did, The troop would have a female Sweetpea on it's hands. Not good. As I've watched the videos again I do feel a little worse for Daniella. I know you believe she was completely without fault, And solely a victim in her life, But the endless amount of videos shows differently.
She nursed all the time, And when finally told no, Lost her mind completely. Almost all of the videos show her aggressively going after Dana to re attach, After being told NO countless times. Most of the "Kidnappings" Are indeed the aunties just taking her and trying to get her to heaven and be quiet. She absolutely 100% refused every single time. She was a low ranking baby monkey who did not understand her place in the troop. She was going to be this way no matter how she was treated. Dana raised Donnie. He learned. He adapted. He survived. Daniella, Caused a scene pretty much daily attempting to get nursed AFTER she was either told NO by Dana, Or taken from Dana by the other females, When Dana lost control of Her. I saw video where she would go back and forth between the females in the troop sizing them up, and trying to nurse on them! Is that even remotely normal!?I don't believe it was because she didn't get enough milk. There are so many videos of her nursing to her hearts content, After Frazzling Dana, And riling up the troop. Face it, Daniella was THAT kid. All of the adults saw it. All of the adults new what was going to happen. Maybe not how exactly, But they knew this one wasn't going to make it. She broadcast it every day with her endless crying, whining, geckering, Shreiking, cooing. Often with very little reason, And there are several videos of that as well. Whole troop is being quiet. She's freaking out. They are all like," What is her damn problem"

I know this is an old video, but ya know what kills me. The troop got together and tried to teach Daniella, but where were they with Sweet Pea? He was a friggin nightmare & a half! In my opinion, he was worse than Daniella! So was his disgusting mother! Neither of which would follow the hierarchy regarding food, and Sweet Pea actually was very dangerous. I personally think he had a hand in Polly's death, plus all the other infants he would torture, hurt, and try to nurse from anyone! I truly think Popeye liked it. She wouldn't stick to her guns when weaning him. One minute she would bite him, next thing he was suckling away. I think she liked it as much as he did. They were both disgustingly disturbing! So why didn't the troop kill him or both? Anytime anyone did anything to that fat f*ck, mommy would jump in to rescue him. It just lights me up that Sweet Pea gets a pass and Daniella didn't. I personally would have paid good money to watch his death! He was a true POS!

You know the saddest part? Everyone blames DEEDEE. How about blaming the RIGHTFULLY GUILTY, the VOs.
If they hadn't purposefully, out of nothing but malice and self-interest, fed Daniella out of turn, making her continuously break rank, much of this would have NEVER happened.

At 1:48 see how Daniela thought that Dolly was backing her up. But it was all just confusion as to what was happening. And in that moment Daniela felt confident and you can see her being aggressive and pinning ears back tail up and jumping in the other monkeys face. Slapping and jumping into its face caused the higher ranking members to attack her. But you can tell that they are merely just trying to discipline and teach her a lesson. Because if they wanted to kill her she wouldn't stand a chance.
In the end they killed her.

When Daniela was grabbing the food she turned to deedee who was telling her to surrender the food, I eat first, but Daniela was defensive, like but it's mine, theyre giving it to me not you, then deedee did the grunt that signals the whole group, disrespectful behavior is taken as a challenge to the authority of the entire Haram, and Daniela quickly let it go and threw herself to deedees feet screaming, like I was just kidding please don't get mad, don't tell on me, she was frantically trying to difuse the situation, but to no avail, it was too late. She was lucky the alpha male wanted no part of it, if he had sided with deedee she would have been mauled or killed, if he had backed Daniela and disciplined the other females to stand down, then the females would have mauled her in retaliation to the alphas decision later on in the day in secret, she got away lightly to be honest, these disciplinary actions normally end in blood shed that if don't kill the juvenile leaves them handicapped for the rest of their lives.

If a scrap happens to fall, you'll notice the baby doing what I call the humility bow- where they don't pick the food up with their hands, but they bow to the ground and eat it with their mouths only. That thing was unbelievable. From the moment it was born it never stopped fighting and screeching. I've never seen the troupe in this state from one of there own. She would throw one fit after another with her mom indefinitely. You'll notice when the whole troupes turned on her we learn she actually can stop. She would consistently steal food that wasn't hers or she had no right to. And if there were consequences no matter how small she would go into her non stop tantrums. Her mom and the troupe did everything they'd ever done to make her submit, accept her place and consequences and she fought and fought and refused to be disciplined. This is why you see the troupe like this, they've had enough of this non stop disruptive behaviour and they've thrown up there hands cause they're out of options. Out of options as monkey's see it mind you. IMO they have alot more patience than humans. Having to deal with one non stop tantrum for months would wear down a saint.

Jonathan I always thought the troupe displayed amazing patience with her also. She was a very low ranking baby who constantly broke the rules and instead of killing her right off, they kept giving her chance after chance to follow the rules. She was relentless when Dana tried to wean her so other mothers, including Dolly, tried to help wean her. I've seen Dolly, Maria, Popeye, and Ashley all carrying her around trying to discipline her but she just refused to submit to the hierarchy. Yes, the VOs did get her in trouble with food but I've seen other infants refuse to take it because they knew their place. She constantly broke the rules then begged for forgiveness so she knew what she was doing was wrong. She had absolutely no self control and paid the price. It's too bad too because she was always so inquisitive and seemed more intelligent than most infants

It is also against the law to interfere with the monkeys. They are wild animals. They don’t think like humans and any thought they might have is survival. You can’t make it easy for a baby in the wild. They would never survive. The same goes for humans. If parents spoil their children, never teaching them right from wrong, they will struggle as adults.

Generally a successful alpha male will ensure 3veryone and the babies also eat. You give the high ranking males the food and let the natural hierarchy distribute it and the lowest will get some. Just not as much.

Yup. They smacked DeeDee then too and laughed….so did I, but they definitely set this up. I think they realised how close the troupe were to killing Daniela after a bit though and they knew a dead baby would mean less views than constant torture videos. Only the males can fight to win status but not in birth troop....they get evicted as they become older adolescent as you've said.
For those interested... males then must find n join another troop, often solo for awhile following living on scraps.. usually first by being allowed by other males peer who needs support maybe but eventually can fight 1 on 1 OR in tag teams to take out higher males.
Male life is a rude awakening of rejection then travel then fighting increasingly bigger bosses til they settle down as adult and for in troop midling maybe bottom of male hierarchy ladder but there may be future opportunities as alpha males age. Only the alpha male and maybe 1 or 2 of his lieutenants gets to ever mate for most part...something like 80% of babies ate his the rest his bro's. Maybe a couple sneaky love trysts snuck in as well with a female who happens to dig a midling male but very rarely.
So for a male born to low mother, as long as she can protect him first couple years, his individuality and opportunity is what matters. But chances are he never gets laid.
Your right in regards to females though. They will get laid and to pass on genetic material unless they are incapable of pregnancy due to a birth defect or illness. But are doomed to the rank of their mom and the higher females will ensure the lower moms daughter's never have the opportunity or advantage to become stronger or ever develop confidence- one way is by kidnapping and abusing them when babies. If Daniela had lived guaranteed in 10 yrs we return and she would be bossed and probably pushed around by Deedee and Deedees kids stepping all over her and hers at best. The low female babies get less food because their moms have less food ie less nutritious milk, and taken away from moms teat alot, they get beaten, they get separated politically from female relatives, in this case the daughter n mom were prevented from being allies or having a relationship, etc. Although it was the male who killed Daniela just to mate with her mom, he would have had a harder time if she'd had protectors or her mom wasnt afraid of being around her half the time (shed been beaten alot by fem alphas for protecting her as a newborn).
The female hierarchy seems so much more brutal in many ways...but they also have very strong allies and matrilineal rships over lifetime. The females basically ARE "the troop" in the sense of the foundation or structure, and having no class mobility contributes to that.
The reverse is true as well, a female born to a well ranked mom doesn't have to worry about falling socially, unless her mom dies ...or is "disappeared " while shes a baby, like Lizza. No mom = no rank and luckily she had that matrilineal network to help ie Caca, and a younger girl, and even a large male, but even that wasnt enough to save her.

This was less about food and more about her thinking she deserved preferential treatment from others. They left out the part where she was eating and the first monkey that barked at her that she chased after . She came originally to get food from the peole and Daniella Freeked out and began screetching for mom to help get rid of her becuse she felt that food all belonged to her and no one else : the whole video is shown a couple other places this one had it edited out where the one that wanted some food was chased and yelled at by Daniella and her mother once she realized Daniella wasn’t in trouble or being picked on she began to get away from her becuse she did wrong she flat out did wrong this one video was editing out maybe it will be on some other channels

Yea i didnt see those scenes. Well regardless of this incident, it is something to keep in mind for all of them that they do not have the impulse control with executive planning. Unless being closely watched by alpha or mom etc they may do as they want related to food which is a powerful motivation to them. In psychological tests adults will stick hand in a bottle to get a fruit and get stuck. They can let go and get their arm out and run away; just not with the fruit. Even when they hear poachers coming though they dont do that. They stay trying to outsmart the jar to get the fruit, and get killed by the men.
I really wish the Humans would stop chasing these creatures all over the place and let nature take its course. But, someone always steps in to stop them from doing what is natural to them. If they do not want another monkey in the troop, they may kill it and that is just the way it is. Let nature do its work and hopefully, Humans will stop interfering so much.

At 1:46 Ratiela tries to attack DeeDee. It's considered one of the worst offences in macaque societies. Especially if it's a low ranking brat attacking an alpha female's daughter. The little rat had it coming. The VOs should have let the monkeys continue the well deserved beating - it could have saved the brat's life. Maybe after the beating Ratiela would have learned to keep low and avoid attention. Anyway, I'm glad the rat was gutted. One less ugly vermin.

@@kim3295 the VOs are feeding the little monkey Daniela and then one of the big ones comes up and the VO makes it go away all the while Daniela is still eating from their hands only in the monkey world the big monkeys eat before the babies do always no exceptions so when Daniela keeps eating after the VO kicks the big monkey away that is a sign of disrespect or disobedience I guess and you'll see the big one is communicating with the troop about what happened and Daniela is trying to what looks like to me "plead her case" to the troop, there is one trying to protect Daniela only it really can't because it's like a rule within the troop so Daniela has to be punished that's why all of em keep getting her an like holding her to the ground and biting at her and all. The troop found Daniela very annoying she was always squeaking and making noise and the older monkeys absolutely hate all that out of any small monkey but if you watch the videos of Daniela you will see she does it continueusly and broke all kinds of rules within the troop. Ultimately leading to her death. If you watch the video real closely from the beginning you can actually see the VOs shu the big monkey away while feeding Daniela....I hope I explained that correctly and understandably lol

At 2.59 Dana is there looking on at 5 Monkeys all High Rank, doing their bit with Dani, At what stage do any of you think that a Low Rank Monkey such as Dana can go in and attack to get her back, In this Video you see Dee entice Dani to her, when she gets her she blatantly tries to remove her, This baby was a victim, a victim of low rank, Dana had no chance, But if you all think that one Low rank young Female can go in and take her baby back from High Ranking, Dolly, Dee, kari Maria and all, None of you know the meaning of the word HIGH RANK. Both Dana and Dani were victims, yes Dana can be a bit lapse in Nursing but if you watch Donny now, Donny is the one with the most natural LTM behaviour going, In turn so is his Mum, Wild ones and i mean real wild, No Vo Handouts.are taught at 5 days old to get off and learn to forage, their Nursing routine will start from just a few days old, Dana is more Traditional LTM than any other Monkey in this Troop. Dolly is a bully and has nasty attitude towards babies.Maria, does what she has too and not anything more, even leaving her baby to mate up with Skippy for a few days. Dee is a juvie and does what Juvies do, but she will be a turn coat to her Mother before long. Tima is old and tries to steer away from all of them. Merri is the same.Jill has changed with her new baby and something going on there, but she was similar to Dana last year, but had Amari's protection alot of the time. and she was young just like Dana.
So Dana was buggered basically where Dani was concerned, Jeez we all saw and see what Dolly can do, Dolly can and will go on to kill, if you provoke her enough, she has it in her, which is how and why she is now Alpha.
Atleast at the end of this Video Dani did manage to get to Mum, which is the only way Dana can get away with not having a beating, and that way also is the only way. Which Dana did actually teach Dani, she kept a fair distance and over a several days she taught Dani to run to her, Just like the swimming lesson, she went further out teaching Dani to jump out and on to her.
If anything Dani was a strong baby, Many would have died enduring those Draggings, but she kept going.
Daniela is so pretty, but she is hungry and scared, so needy she bothers everyone. When she eats out of turn they rip out her stomach. Some tried to help, but others had enough. The Vos fed her and not the adults so cruel.

mom is a low ranking female that has tried to teach this young one to stay away from the VO's because they are feeding it out of the pecking order. Baby monkey won't listen so she is being punished by the troop. This is what eventually got her killed. The VO's kept feeding her out of rank and this baby got shunned by her own troop. Mom's rank is low so she could no longer protect her.

I don't feel sorry for a Infant monkey who refuses to stay with her mother and does not follow the troops rules. Most others her age stay close to their mothers!!! Dana attempted to be there for Danielle but she became to difficult and she turned her back on her!!

Why did you vos try to distract them with food when the beat down was going so good? You set it up by feeding Daniela and ONLY her knowing she would get attacked for eating. Even she knew it, she went to DD and begged for forgiveness. A different video shows you feeding her, and when DD tried to get in and grab the fruit, you(which I was glad to see) slapped her away, sealing the deal. Take credit where it's due, you vos are responsible for this one.

another moronic comment. the vo's (camera operators.) cause most of the drama recorded in any monkey video. like here. they know what happens when little ones eat before the adults or in front of them. so they keep trying to get her to take the food knowing at some point she will and she did. they got what they want. I've even seen them stage kidnappings of baby monkeys. they don't care what happens to the monkey as long as they don't shoot boring videos.

Actually what really happened (this video doesn't show) the VO's chased the baby with a grape. They offered it and she ran away (she knew she shouldn't eat it) so they followed her. They offered and she ran at least 3 times. Finally (bc she was so hungry, Dana hardly fed her. Idk if it was bc she knew they were gonna kill her at some point so why bother, or if she just didn't care) after about the 3rd time Dani finally gave in and started eating it. Shrieking and whining in between each bite, it was almost as if she was asking for forgiveness as she was eating. I mean they kept chasing her with it knowing what they were doing. Anyway, while she was eating DeeDee came over and as she ran up Dani automatically stopped eating it. DeeDee went for it and the guy took it from her so DeeDee got really pissed off. Which is why when this video cuts to Dani running up to DeeDee throwing a fit crying at 1:11 and the Dweeb pushed her away. It's almost like Dani was telling them "I'm sorry, I know I shouldn't have ate it" she knows she is about to get it. Love her little heart! This right here is the VO's fault. This is also why I Love karma and the fact that it bit DeeDee and Dolly right in the a**....well kind of. Dolly died a horrible and painful death. In her last hours, she worried helplessly about one of the others taking Dalton. Then once she was gone DeeDee went crazy for a bit. Picking on the little monkeys trying to make all those she wronged try and forget what she done. They didn't. Kari done her part and terrorized DeeDee and kidnapped her first born. Although, she treated Delena (sp?) way better than the Dweeb treated Dani and all her other victims. DeeDee knew she was in for it and she was so scared she wouldn't let her baby out of her site. I mean she literally had a hold of that baby 24/7, til Kari managed to grab her when she did. Oh, DeeDee got ate up a few times too. Loved those videos. I just wish they would've bit her harder. After Dolly died and she knew she wasn't under an alphas protection she went down hill a lot. She looked way older than she was, she was on guard 5x's more than the average monkey, which is a lot. Regardless, they both deserved what they got and then some! People say that DeeDees baby didn't deserve to pay for what her mama done she was innocent. Yea she was, but so was Dani, Polly, Brutus Jr., Maci, and all the others DeeDee and Dolly terrorized and made their lives hell!

Her death as cruel as it was, was at her own demise . She just wasn't comprehending the troop hierarchy . The upperclass eats 1st always, doesn't matter if they are old and weak or a malnourished starving baby. If they are the very bottom class of the troop, they eat the scraps, or nothing at all in times of famine! It's been that way for generations. The adults snatching her up like that and roughing her up, were trying to teach her. Trying to prevent her from getting killed if she takes food from a member not so tolerant of her ignorance. Unfortunately she ignored the troop and was to tempted by the humans offering her food all the time. Humans always mess up nature, we are infamous for it. Many tourists aren't aware of this monkey law. They want to give food to a cute little baby to steal an up close gander at it. Not realising the harm they are causing.
