Oh my God! I know you won! Lol!! I was just saying this to my hubby…about your incredible abilities vs the parents!! While I hoped they would give it to you ( because you deserve it), I had a feeling the school judges just had to be magnanimous and spread the awards around! It does seem like an easy fix would be to limit consecutive wins. As in, Parent A wins the pumpkin contest this year. They can participate next year, but they will not be eligible to win. If they participate for a third year, they are eligible again. Spreads the awards around without everybody feeling weird about who won and why.

I always prided myself on my son's homemade costumes but this year at 7 he demanded a store bought costume. It broke my heart but also they grow up and we have to let things change. It's fine, this is fine 🔥😑🔥

Yeah, though nowhere near a talented as you, I think I stopped trying with school stuff when mine hit like second grade. Also had to draw a line for the child as he started handing me chicken scratch crayon sketches thinking I could magically knit whatever his heart desired lol.
You win some, you lose some. Meh. They prolly felt embarrassed for the pity win too.
