never commented on your channel but I watch every single video. I try to emulate your play in my game. looking to improve from a 15 to a 12 this year. not looking for any swing advice. just smart play. love your stuff dude
currently on the same hcp as you, with the same goal as well! i’m sure it’s just a couple of bad decisions and poor mental game here and there that make all the difference, as that results in smarter, better shots and the proper attitude when things dont go to plan. good luck :)
@@ignacioagote1359 I'm currently editing a video where I shot my lowest score ever by simply playing "safe" golf... Hope you check it out and it may give some helpful tips for your handicap goal in particular!
Adam, you play so many different courses in so many conditions - and I'm sure that makes you a better player overall, and enjoy golf more. I can't help wonder what your handicap would be if you played the same course a couple of times a week. I'd guess closer to scratch than your channel name would suggest!
You should rename this channel Scratch Scrambler. Keep em coming bud love watching you guys play the local tracks I play myself. Greentee/Pagoda coming up this season?
Truly have me reconsidering my game. Great inspiration and appreciate the narrative on your thought process. I always say to myself and to my friends that we'll do better today and we blow up the scores. If we can have your mental strength we can. Great job and keep it up! I'm going to break 80 my next round with good decisions.
Great video as always! Definitely need to work on my mental game so it really helps to see your thought process! Excited to get back out there and start playing again
Long time fan, man and I appreciate you more and more. So many other guys on YT act like they should never miss a fairway or green and be 100% from 8 ft and act like babies when they don’t. I just want to see cool dudes play courses I never will get and enjoy themselves and you crush it there.
I agree... it is annoying when other youtubers hit it on the green and complain... they are 30 feet and act like they are the worst player in the world... Its a little obnoxious actually as it just makes my golf game feel like I have no chance.
Always good to see how you navigate around, keeping the ball in play is the golden rule lol. My course is parkland and any slight deviation is a kick out from under the pines. Would love an open course like this you shared today.
After years of stagnating, feeling like I had so much unused potential I adopted your methods along with the Golf Sidekicks approach and dropped 4 strokes in 6 rounds. It’s golf on easy mode!😊
Distance more than break, yes. I just find that standing behind the ball looking down a runway to the hole doesn't give me a good sense of the tru length of the putt. Walking it out helps a lot.
Been doing that because of Adam! I walk out my putts as well.. every long stride roughly 3 feet, so 10 strides I know I have a 30 foot putt and I can dial in my distance control
Solid round in rough conditions. Is predator ridge already open this time of year or was this late last season? I’m going there this summer for the first time so really excited
Which round was colder, this one or the time we played Mission Hills in the morning and had the frost delay? Thank goodness for my blanket that morning 😂😂
I loved seeing you sink that amazing putt on 8 and then turn around and crush a great drive on 9. Then, when you struggled at the end, you still pulled together that nice par on 17. Just excellent golf!
This is golf in the real world! A somewhat less than pristine course and some shots almost as dodgy as I hit. Good stuff. My long game is grim, but according to my shotscope, my short game is scratch level, so I just try to get inside 100 yards in as few shots as possible, then get down in 3 or less. Currently have an average of 2.6
Hey man! Love this video!! I'd love to connect and get the Shot Pattern app in your hands because I think it can really help you keep dialing in perfect strategy!
Hi Adam! Big fan of your videos. You're really good in creating an understanding of the mental aspect of the game and that you should never give up on a hole. However, it really helps to have such a strong short game as you do. I'd love a video where you let us in at your short game training sessions!
Nice video and narrative. You're such a good golfer! I'm just getting back into golf and your videos are inspiring me. Hope I can achieve bogey golf in a year or so. Cheers!
I had the best 9 of my life last week, hit a 38 with back-to-back birdies. I was following your advice of keeping the ball in play and hitting smart shots. Then, I had a bad OB shot on hole 10 and completely threw off my mental game and finished the back 9 with a 53. I know you have bad holes, but what advice or thoughts do you have to completely shake it off and reset for the next hole(s)? Love the videos
Thanks! And first off, congrats on the Front 9 score! I’d try to remember that your 18-hole golf score is something you can’t control on a shot by shot basis. All you can do is try to hit the next shot as best as you can. You can go 53-38 or 38-53…or even 38-38! If you never think farther than the next shot, your scores will probably stabilize and those crazy volatile front vs back 9 scores will happen less frequently. Buuuuut…they’ll still happen sometimes! Don’t beat yourself up.
Which track do you prefer at Pred, Adam? I keep telling myself that I like the Ridge 18 more....though I routinely score better on Predator. Also, if you're feeling great, on 15, tee it up high and go driver. The straight line would be pretty much directly over the last tree in the row (to the left of the gap and lone tree in the top right of your screen at 11:22 on your vid). There's not much trouble if a little short, but must avoid a flare to the right. Fun stuff!
I’ve played the Ridge 9 times and the Predator only twice, both times in inclement weather. I find the Predator to be a better test of golf and the Ridge to be far more visually stunning albeit more resort-style golf. So my preference would come down to which type of golf I was in the mood for that day. And thanks for the course knowledge re: 15!
I don't think so. This round was actually recorded a year ago. Between wind and elevation, my drives in this round were literally going anywhere from 200-300 yards. Difficult to extrapolate anything.
You should seriously fix your swing. What’s the point struggling to save par and bogey when you could be putting for eagles and birdies. Your swing is holding you back 😂 unless you don’t care about getting any better then just use that garbage swing and never get better
adam I think the thing I notice with your swing is you're reaching so far over, that the lie angle of the club head is almost 45 degrees. I may not be a good golfer due to just bad golf strategy, but I think if you step closer to the ball, and have the ball further forward you'll get a more upright swing with hitting at the apex of swing
I definitely need your attitude on the miss shots. I am working on it and especially since I don't play so much I need to keep my expectations in check!! You took advantage of your good luck on the bad shots. Great round Adam!!🏌♂⛳😀
I'd rather watch Adam or the Playa impart wisdom than Bubbie or Steve wack another ball into the trees.

Well done Adam did you find that the winter gloves made a difference?
Thanks! Those are rain gloves and I find they really help on cold days.
Love your videos. The LASER shot over the green on 3 made me literally LOL 🤣
😂
Great video as always! Definitely need to work on my mental game so it really helps to see your thought process! Excited to get back out there and start playing again
Well, you lost me at the first shot, since I've never hit a 250 yard drive. Lol.

Notice you are a fellow double glover in the cold?! Lol
My buddies always make fun of me when I do it, but hate having cold hands.
Impressive round in wind and cold. I think you’d be near par in tamer conditions.
Predator Ridge is a metal af name for a golf course lol
actually 2 courses, one is predator, the other is ridge. some of the best courses in all of Western Canada
@@jacobgreen0915 my apologies, I must’ve misheard him

Dont laugh at the water guys. That could be you next. Good video. Keep it going. How did your playing partners score?
Thanks! This round was actually recorded last March so I don't remember their scores. Safe bet is somewhere between 68-74.
Score on the back was a 41, not a 43. Don't penalize yourself even more! 😉
After years of stagnating, feeling like I had so much unused potential I adopted your methods along with the Golf Sidekicks approach and dropped 4 strokes in 6 rounds. It’s golf on easy mode!😊
When you say walk the putt what are you thinking about when you do that? Just getting a feel for the distance and break?
Distance more than break, yes. I just find that standing behind the ball looking down a runway to the hole doesn't give me a good sense of the tru length of the putt. Walking it out helps a lot.

Great round Adam.😎
Great explanations man. I’m convinced everyone could drop half their handicap through better course management.
Great explanations man. I’m convinced everyone could drop half their handicap through better course management.
That back nine was probably the coldest I've ever been on the course. And I've played when it snowed 😂
Lol yeah I had flashbacks while editing this.
Solid round in rough conditions. Is predator ridge already open this time of year or was this late last season? I’m going there this summer for the first time so really excited
I hope the handicap secretary at your home course is a subscriber! That score in those conditions 🤯
always fun - and humbling - playing with really good players...
Solid round Adam in tough windy conditions, love your infectious positive mindset and approach when playing :)

Tossup, lol.

One of your best rounds on the channel considering the conditions!

Go hate on Riggs from @ForePlayGolf and play him in his hater series.
Lol not a bad idea
Love the videos! Can't believe I'm this early
Same first time I get it this early.
my math say's u got an 80. Still pretty good.
Made a typo on the scorecard. It was a 41 on the back, not 43.
Hey, no worries. Enjoy your vids. keep up the good work.@@NotAScratchGolfer
13:46 isn't that an 80?
Best golf content on UA-cam right now
that putt on #8 was awesome!! i would love to play that course someday. one of my all time fave golfers richard 'disco dick' zokol works there!!
Thanks! And yeah, I think Dick is involved with Sagebrush again now!

I love seeing the BC courses.
I don't always hit my sand wedge 160 yards but when I do, it's from a green side bunker!
Your scorecard says 43 for the back 9 but should be 41. You shot a 78 but the card says 80 if you add the final scores.
Great video! Would love to know what’s in your bag?
Do you feel like you can feel a difference in your game over the past year?
at the 13:47 mark you show a 43 on the back. i believe it was a 41.

back to PSG? what about the Sub70's?
What tripod do you use/prefer for your iphone?
This is one wacky looking course
Isn’t 37-43 an 80 and not 78? Did I miss something?
Looks like he just counted back 9 wrong. Should be a 41.
Edited to be 78 lol
Must of bin a couple mulligans
Mulligans? What channel are you watching 😂
+5 and +2 on a par 71 is 78... So yeah, it was a 41 on the back
Back 9 adds up to 41, not 43 as shown, so the total is 78.
