This little rat jet is probably the most fun jet I have ever played. I'm surprised how rare it is to see ingame, which is probably a good thing because it's such a little bitch to fight.
That’s one thing I forgot to mention in the video, i don’t remember how many games I’ve played with it, but I’ve maybe seen like… 4 other Arietes? Kinda crazy.
It was actually supersonic Irl reaching a max speed of mach 1.1 which is impressive since it doesn’t have an afterburner, also something that annoyed me is that irl it carried 300 round per gun of the 30mms, not 120 per gun, which is why you see such a large ammo box that still has alot of dead space around it.
yeah i notice that too, same with the sagittario 2 it was like that at release from memory, wonder if it was done on purposes for balance or they assumed 300 was the total ammo
Fun fact about this plane. It has the thrust/weight ratio of an F-16, coupled with the empty weight of a Bf 109 G. And it wasn't even the final *planned* form - the Aerfer company proposed one more evolution of the Sagittario 2/Ariete line - the Leone. The Leone would have taken the rear jet engine of the Ariete, and replaced it with... a rocket. I wish I could go back in time and convince whichever engineer was necessary to get that thing built, for the exclusive purpose of seeing a batshit insane rocket jet in War Thunder.
Ohhh lord have mercy. Now imagine if the would develop it into a phase where it would have air-to-air missiles, flares and radar. I think the size would need to be little hit bigger but still.
the thing is BR compression would be much less of a hassle if Gaijin differs the repair costs for uptier and downtier. i'm totally fine playing CL-13B in and uptier if i only pay 5K when i die. because the Ariete is a premium, u don't have that issue. edit: also after the missile buff, 10.3s can just shoot 2 30G missiles back to back, one to force you slow, one for the kill.

I've gotten into so many dog fights with 4 or more people and come out on top, its unreal. Granted, they weren't the best pilots and usually shot at least one of their team mates down, but thats War Thunder for you.
The ariete reminds me of the g55s premium. It out turns everything it goes against. And that’s good enough in war thunder, as long as you know what’s going on
I love cheeky little dogfighters, definitely something I will be picking up in the sale as it’s pretty pricey for what it is. Nothing quite like using knowledge of BFM and baiting folks into energy traps in superior aircraft. I killed a MiG-21SMT in my F4D the other day by making him think I was an easy kill then just got inside his turn for an easy kill. He was not a happy camper with the fan mail I got after that game.
I'm so happy that I bought this jet as soon as it came out. For me it is worth every single penny i spend on it. Fully research Italy air tech tree. Sadly I won't play the top tier F-104s they are stupidly expensive and the one that isn't doesn't have flares. For a 10.7 jet I think it should have flares.
I noticed that if i take 20 min fuel i rip my wings off sometimes, but it never happened with min fuel 🤷🏻. And yes, this is the most fun jet in the game, but all this su25 and a10s with 30g all aspect missiles is bullshit, but yes, gayjin need money. But i still taking it to a walk with a good music and we having fun)
Su-11 is still more broken. In a full uptier it will still turn with, run with, and outgun a lot of its opponents. In a regular MM where you face other 7.0's you completely outclass them, and downtiers to 6.0 is just hilarious
No one will turn fight against it (unless they want to die) and fly away. And Ariete can't catch up with anyone and finally get killed by a missile from behind from miles away
It blows so much ass this air rb 9.3 br. A10s can kill you before you even can spot them and it's bullshit man. No other brs get uptiered every single match like 9.3s does. I played 30 matches in the ariete and every match was 10.3 except 2 that were 8.7 9.7 so 30 matchs and not a single 8.3 to 9.3 match. I wish they would put as much effort into decompressing the brs and fixing bullshit issues like mid map aaa as they put into premiums and events that bait people to spend money.
