I would say a big mistake that young believers can make is listening to older believers, teachers, or pastors theology and accepting it blindly without checking the bible and God.

I totally agree not to see people as the enemy. Mormons worship a completely different God than in the Bible, but from every experience of mine they are extremely respectful and nice. I have to give them credit where it’s due, but it saddens me that their faith is in Joseph Smith and their completely different god.
They are still damned. What type of credit exists with that? They are respectful and nice, and we should be respectful and nice back. But we should still try to bring them out of Mormonism.
@ credit in that they display themselves as good ambassadors of Christ (even tho we know for sure they’re not.) Their respect and politeness is something we Christians should get better at (I’m mainly taking about myself.) I also say this, when someone converts from Islam to Christianity they’re usually very strong brave Christian’s, because they understand what Muhammad says to do to converts. They understand the risks to their lives, but their love for Jesus is strong enough to ignore it. I give credit where it’s due, and strive to be a more godly person and ambassador of Christ to help save more people.
@@Quinold You seem stuck on the idea of niceties, and they do serve a purpose. However, damnation is the real event that we, as Christians should be pointing people AWAY from instead of saying how polite the enemy's minions are being as they lead people to Hell. And yes, former Islamics are fervent as are ALL those saved from false religions. I came out of Buddhism, and found many who were raised in the church, to have no Bible knowledge at all, which absolutely stunned me. During Bible study, a nice elderly woman came up and thanked me for bringing a bit of pep into the studies because while she was raised in the church and she loved G-d, she didn't really know her Bible but she was starting to, now. I, as an outsider not trained in the habits of church, have no problem asking questions or providing a different perspective because my life experiences show a different way of thinking. Adult converts absolutely devour the Bible and want to share it like crazy.
@@whyme7996 absolutely I’m not saying damnation isn’t real. But that’s cool you come from a background where you wanted to explore the word deeper than your peers. All I’m saying is that these damned people also have qualities Christian’s should point out themselves to improve on. I have an atheist friend that I study with because he asks me a ton of tough questions. I’m sad he doesn’t believe in the gospel, but I respect him asking me tough questions in search for truth. He’s in a deep journey to find truth just as much as I am. My conversations with him builds my faith and it pushes me to dig deep into the Bible for answers, and it’s there. I personally point out these people’s strengths because of course I can judge all day their sins and point out their damnation, but that’s not my role. Because I could be just as damned as they are without noticing my personal flaws and sins.
In all due honesty, I’m…not sure where I am myself. I can see where I’m struggling with lust, but at the same time I avoid anything directly involving real people. But does drawn art count as porn? If so then I’m…honestly in a real bind… Please pray for me. I suspect I’m deluding myself into thinking what I’m doing isn’t sinful, and even if it isn’t I get the feeling that God wants me to give it up anyways. But I’m not sure I can give it up without His help… truth be told, I don’t *want* to give it up. Which scares me, especially if I am sinning and just still doing it. That’s not how I should be living! Just…please pray God will help me. He’s pulled me out of this stuff twice before, and I’ve admittedly fallen back in - attempting to clear out more sin each time. And right now, I don’t know if I’m ok staying in what I believe is a relatively sin-feee zone (and yeesh, didn’t think I saw it as “relatively sin-free”… God guides my typing a surprising amount, let’s be honest). Or do I need to drop this, because it’s interfering with His plans for me? Just…I pray He will help me, and I pray you’ll pray for me too. Because I need a lot of help here… especially because if it is a problem, I want to be willing to let go.
Listen brother , Yes . H*ntai m*nga is P**n , & your thoughts are tripping you over as it did to me . I struggled with it as well . What the heart seeks is entertainment ( in vague terms ) . If you do read other fantasy/sci-fi comics and many of the times you may get urge to switch to the thing you are now struggling with . I have been told by the Holy Spirit , that I have been corrupting my mind with comics and other things . But still instead of running to the word of God , I have been not seeking the truth . I do know that the word of God holds power because it is written and when with faith i spoke out and resisted the temptations , but many times instead of opening my mouth to resist temptations I kept silent 😶 which has resulted in Mind being tormented by thoughts ( from comics and whatnot skepticism ) like even the Basic common sense was being questioned by my thoughts . Which was very foolish of me . See I am not the guiding Light you have been looking for but still I shared my experience with you so that we as Christ Believers could Seek truth . Which is in Jesus Christ only . Let's seek the Truth from the Word of God and with the help of the Holy Spirit be truly Set Free . From the Mindset and take control of every single thought that goes against the knowledge of God . Psalm 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, a light on my path". Take care brother in Christ . Do share any other questions you have if you want to .
Oh yeah drawings and animations definitely still count. The reason I know is because it was the only thing I'd watch, of the adult "entertainment", and was addicted to it for years. It got so bad I tried to end myself but God is good, so very good, and brought me to Him.

@@jesusisgod-z9b Don't get me wrong. Clubs provide comradery, protection, and validation for its members. So, in that context, Christianity is a club that provides sanctuary for its members. However, I am struggling to think of what else it does.
Christianity is believing that God made promises in the Old Testament and has fulfilled them in the New Testament by sending His son. That mankind has sinned and rebelled against God and therefore God will judge every evil deed committed by every person ever to live, but God desired to show His grace and mercy to a people who did not deserve it so He sent His son to take the punishment for those sins upon Himself on the tree. Now He commands all men everywhere to repent and believe in His son Jesus Christ.
@@michaeldorsey4580 Based on your response, it seems you're agreeing with me that the core of Christianity involves subscribing to a set of beliefs. These beliefs don't necessarily need to be rational or lead to truth; they simply need to be adhered to in order to gain membership. This, in essence, aligns with the definition of a club.
@@JohnSpencer90 you keep saying club, I have no idea why a club is something you do after school. Unless somebody can explain to me how Isaiah 700 years before Christ can tell us about the place of Christ's birth and his death and his resurrection and the Virgin birth and prophesying about John the Baptist and that Jesus would be anointed by God. If you can give us a logical explanation of how Isaiah would know that outside of divine revelation, then by all means convince us that Christianity is wrong.
